Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake was a highlight. Great hosts and great location.

Cute quiet cabin situated on a peninsula between boat side and no wake side. Lot's of water activities to do, great location, great setup, and great hosts.

The property is on a unique and beautiful peninsula. Wooded, yet with lovely views of the sunrises and sunsets over the water. The owners are across the street and wonderful to deal with. There were paddleboards, kayaks and a paddleboat available for our use on the cove side with a large dock, including stairs into the water. We also enjoyed creating fires in the firepit and the proximity to Traverse City.

It was a perfect place for relaxation and a perfect home base for getting out and exploring all that northern Michigan has to offer. We woke up to the most beautiful sunrises and always made sure we were back in time to watch the sunset. Audrey and Jim have provided everything that you could need for a perfect trip. Lots of memories made and we will be back.

We had a relaxing week in the most beautiful of settings. Everything you need is at hand. Lake is crystal clear and just far enough away from Traverse City. We would stay here again!

Enjoyed our week stay at this lovely private cabin on Spider Lake. Had fun trying out the kayaks, paddle boat, and hammock! Used as our base while we explored some of the beautiful Traverse City area. The cabin was well equipped, having everything we could ask for.

This lake front cottage is sublime. My second stay here was as exceptional as the first and I can't wait to return next summer! Every morning we woke to a beautiful sunrise on the deck and watched it slowly set over the shimmering lake, gently rocking in the hammock on the cottage's private sandy beach. Jim and Audrey have provided everything you could possibly need to make your stay super comfortable and feel like you could just pack your tooth brush and have an amazing stay in magical northern Michigan; they are exceptional hosts! This property is a true gem amongst all the beauty of up north Michigan. Being on the peninsula, surrounded by lake and woods, you feel like you’re in a magical forest in a fairy tale. Watching the birds over the lake and listening to ethereal silence in-between the rustle of the leaves leaves anyone in a state of zen and relaxation. The owners are so thoughtful, kind, inviting, and accommodating. We felt like we were welcomed by family to a guest house. The property could not be more perfectly placed. This is the place to go to completely unplug and just enjoy the surroundings of the lake.

This property is absolutely breathtaking. When we first pulled up and got out of our car, my husband and I just stood there in awe at how beautiful the scenery was. The cottage is on a peninsula surrounded by water on 3 sides with stunningly gorgeous pines and trees all around and was nice and private. A vacation rental come true for two introverts like us! lol This is the best VRBO we have rented and the picutres of the views surrounding the cotttage do not do it justice. This was a pefrect getaway for our anniversay. We watched the sunrise in the am from the front deck and listened to the loons and all the sounds of nature. All that was missing was Henry Fonda, Jane Fonda, and Katharine Hepburn! :) We went kayaking and paddle boating every day. The fact that this cottage came with a selection of boats to use was a huge selling poing for us. There was barely a sole on the lake all 4 days (which is our favorite time to travel for that very reason) and we had the entire lake and cove to ourselves it felt like. I'm sure this lake is extrembely busy in the Summer but we lucked out as far as what we enjoy when we travel. It rained one day and we sat under the roof at the adorable storage cottage and watched and listened to the rain and smelled the incredible smells of the pines. The lake looked almost turquise and it was so peaceful and relaxing. We hope to definitely come back again next year! Thank you Audrey and Jim for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

The location of this property is awesome! You can go downtown Traverse or Sutton’s Bay or Leland in a quick short drive. If you like to ride bikes, it is close to the Tart Trail. If you like to hike, there are nearby parks. The property is clean and having accesss to use the kayaks and fishing boat is so nice. Quiet area and you are secluded and it’s the best place to just enjoy the sunrise and sunset right off the porch! The owners are very responsive if you need anything!

We had a wonderful stay in Spider Lake, the property was very clean and comfortable with some water toys to enjoy on the beautiful lake it offers. It is perfect for a two person get away.

Perfect Spot for lakeside living. We feel so lucky to have spent some time on this beautiful property. The house was on a point of land, so you feel private and secluded on all sides. Spider Lake is like a well kept secret and at may times we felt like it was all ours to explore. We had so much fun swimming, kayaking, fishing and cooking outside. I hope we are lucky enough to visit again.

The place was very nice, very clean, very cozy. Owners are exceptionally nice. We would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway & do some fishing. Owners providers everything you need plus more. Just watch out for the fish, they will break your fishing line & take off with your bobber & not give it back.

This property was amazing! The house was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay! The house is incredibly private. We rented a pontoon from a local livery on the lake which made this property even better for us. We were able to take the pontoon to the sandbar and the public island to do some exploring! We will stay again and again! Highly recommend the property.

Had such an amazing time! The property is beautiful as well as relaxing! We loved our stay. And Audrey and Jim were very accommodating. We had everything we needed. I would totally recommend this if your looking to relax and enjoy the scenery and of course the water 😍

Beautiful location and gorgeous weather made our stay wonderful. A little bit of heaven for sure.

What a gem! I almost hate to tell you how relaxing it was to find this quaint cabin on the point of Spider Lake. Jim and Audrey were wonderful available hosts- not only loaning me fishing equipment but making sure we were settled in and didn't need anything else. The cabin has a history (or should I say historic) you can read about, and it is just a cabin in the woods, but it has everything you should need. The amazing sunrise right out your window across the lake was breathtaking and sitting on the deck just chilling was just what we needed to celebrate an anniversary weekend. We will be back!!

We enjoyed staying at the cottage! This property was a perfect fall getaway, close to many attractions (the dunes, wineries, etc). We enjoyed the fire pit at night and the paddle boat. The local restaurant recommendations were great also! We will definitely consider staying here again!

The cabin was very clean and basic. The owners had everything on hand that could possibly be needed. The setting of this property is amazing it sits on a point of the lake so there is a view of the lake all around. The lake is great and the property is on a no wake zone so you don’t have to worry about crazy boat traffic. Just a few minute drive to Traverse City. The bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to bring the family back this summer. Thank you!!

From start to finish, this experience exceeded our expectations! The property owners were gracious and very responsive. This very private cottage had everything we needed and more! Relaxed setting and very comfortable accommodations! I didn't know what to expect and brought exactly what was already provided in the cabin, they thought of everything! Variety of boats were great! We fished everyday and caught lots of fish! Our son loved the kitchen cabin where he spent hours rigging poles! So much private lake frontage and private dock, we felt totally secluded! Could not have wanted more... Thanks to our hosts for being so accommodating to help us if needed! We didn't want to leave and plan to return! It truly was a little slice of heaven! Thank you so much for providing us such a memorable vacation!

Second time at this property and it does not disappoint. Beautiful lake and surrounding area, close to downtown Traverse. Spent most our time kayaking and fishing the lake, caught a few decent largemouth and some northern.

My husband and I were so excited for our get-away up North this summer, and this cottage offered the perfect combination of relaxing and adventurous. The sunsets each night were unmatched and lounging by the fire pit was the perfect way to wind down after a fun day kayaking, paddle boating or wine tasting in TC. It was close enough to the city to access great restaurants and views of the bay. But it was secluded enough to feel like we were off the grid! We thought the bed was SO comfortable! Everything was clean and maintained really well. All the dishes, glasses, dish soap etc. was there so we didn't have to buy anything for the weekend. The little beach area and the lounge chairs in another spot made it feel like whatever time a day, there was a place to sit for sun or shade. The view of the water was awesome! The grill was clean and worked well. We had no trouble finding anything. The only drawback was the wifi not working well but we didn't attempt to fix it or reach out to the owners because we had a hot spot that we brought with us and just used that instead. They were so sweet and responsive and had instructed us to reach out with any issues, so I am sure if we hadn't had our hot spot they would have been able to help. Just wanted to flag that in case anyone is looking to rent as a place to work from and needs more stable wifi. Thank you again to the owners for making this such a great place to stay!

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at the cabin. Perfect location, great amenities, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets overlooking the lake. The hosts had everything you would need. Would highly recommend this property. We plan on coming back.

The cottage was perfect for me and my husband. The location is in a gorgeous setting. Everything was spotless. Check in and out was a breeze. If you're coming in the dark (or daylight...we passed it in the early evening lol) the address is on a tree and you can't see the property from the road. You will need to bring all staples (including coffee grounds). All of the kitchen items are in great condition and everything matches. They've thought of everything you might need (including bottle opener, extra zip lock bags, paper cups for the purified water dispenser). The furniture is comfortable, including the bed. The old wood windows were my favorite part of the home. Outside had everything you would need to relax and enjoy your stay. The bugs weren't even bad for being in the woods. I don't know how they managed that lol You are about 10 minutes (if that) from downtown Traverse City. I would definitely recommend this property.

Nice northern Michigan experience. Secluded, but not far from Traverse City and all it has to offer. Many amenities are available. Very nice and attentive property owners/managers.
