While this complex is a little dated, this unit has had a remodel and is wonderful. It is steps away from the beach and we enjoyed our coffee on the porch each morning. A lot of thought and love has been put into this unit. We plan to return here again! Also, the people at Island Realty were also wonderful to work with - friendly and professional. I don't know why anyone would work with a large and remote booking agency when there are people locally who do a much better job...

This was perfect for our girls weekend. Very short walk to the beach where we spent most of our time. Place was clean and had all the amenities needed. Appreciated all the extra towels. Property manager was good to send emails to see if we needed anything. We would absolutely stay here again!

Washer was broken, but Island Realty reimbursed for drop off laundry. Place was not very clean. Sand all over couches, floor dirty, dishes has food all over them, slider broken, screen door sticks. Bed was okay. Sorry to say that the grounds at Port-o-Call are not as well maintained as in past years. New grounds and facilities management is needed.

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I did enjoy our trip to Isle of Palms but unfortunately, the condo was a disappointment overall. The location is is right on the beach. Another positive for us is that it is further down from the Wild Dunes resort so the beach was less crowded. The complex was mostly quiet. You can't tell from the pictures but this unit is right next to the pool (which could be a positive or a negative depending on what you are wanting) so expect pool noise. The towel bar was missing from the bathroom. The parts that attach to the wall were there but no bar to hang a towel on. While putting something in the closet, we noticed a brand-new towel bar in a box. We did contact maintenance and they fixed it the next day. While checking the coffee maker to determine type of filter needed, we found used coffee grounds left in the coffee maker. The drawers in one of the dressers stuck and were difficult to open. For us, all the little things started to add up and outweighed the positives. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of customer service. This property was advertised as having a washer and a dryer, which was a key deciding factor for us when choosing amongst the many places to stay. About a week before our arrival, the management company emailed to say that the washer was not working and would not be able to be fixed during our stay. They apologized and let us know there was laundromat nearby. I do understand that things happen and can't be helped but we paid for a washer to be included. It would have gone a long way for us in terms of customer service had there been some token of making up for not having an advertised feature, such as a bottle of wine or a gift card for the coffee shop next to the laundromat. Isle of Palms is beautiful with lots of fun things to do nearby. Highly recommend the area.

The villa is on the lowest level, so it was very easy to pull up and unpack everything. I loved that we were able to walk to the beach from the back porch. I would suggest trimming the shrubs down so that the view of the beach is even better. It was not a fancy place, but it was clean and it served our needs well. The kitchen is very small and would be difficult to really cook in, but we did not cook at all, so that was not a problem for us, lol. I would stay again for sure.

Reviewer Comments: To follow up on someone's earlier review: the porch door still opens only part way and the bottom hinge is not attached, the top step needs boards replaced, the table is still rusty. Of great concern is the sliding door from the living room to the porch. After about 4 days, we discovered it does not lock and has a board to put in the slot to prevent opening!! The sofa. while it looks ok, is shot and very difficult to get up from since you sink totally sink down into (esp, the middle) cushion. There is no tv guide/directions. I was concerned after reading the check out instructions to take off sheets but leave on spreads, that they are obviously not cleaned between occupants!!

We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and how close the pool is to the buildings. The bed was nice and firm. The only complaint we have is that OFTEN there was no service! When I say no service, that means the calls you try to make are dropped and there was no internet. That was a bit frustrating. When I called to complain, the woman told me to call this number when I am in the unit. When you can't make a call while in the unit, that is impossible. We would stay here again. Just a little disappointed with that issue.

While we enjoyed our stay, we cannot recommend this property. To be fair, there are several positives: the location is awesome and as close to the beach as you can get; The community is quiet; The property is clean and quaint; the bed and couches were comfortable. However, the negatives would prevent us from renting again: The porch table was rusted over to the point that we had to get a plastic table cloth; The porch door sticks and will not open entirely; The porch chair cushions were worn and need replacing; The clothes dryer does not work (we did several loads of wash and after running the dryer for hours, we gave up and had to hang our clothes; the linen closet kept falling off its tracks, there was really no complete set of matching dishes (only 1 usable size coffee mug - the rest were tiny) Overall, if the owners would reinvest some dollars toward repair and upkeep (some TLC), then we would consider another stay.

There was plenty of room for four, if you used the pull out couch, but I enjoyed the space all to myself and I loved it! The pool looked very clean, very nice; but, when I am at the beach, I go to the ocean every day (so I did not use the pool). Thanks to the owners for keeping it up, and thank you also to whoever cleans it, because I found no dirt, no sand, no molded shower or curtain, no bugs! It was a home away from home!
