Beautiful place to stay. Kids loved the pool and adults enjoyed sitting in the hot tub overlooking the pool by day and looking up at the stars at night. The TV and grill by the pool were the biggest selling point for us. Loved grilling out with everyone and having dinner by the pool. The internet was very spotty. Host came to fix one day but we would need to restart the router daily. The Internet would be out for hours some days and couldn't watch Olympics. The catch and release fishing pond was great. Easy to catch bass with some top water lures. Had plenty of firewood available for fires.

We booked the lodge for a family reunion of 14 with a mix of adults and kids. The house is beautiful and tucked away off the road. We spent the week floating in the pool, fishing in the pond, playing games, and relaxing. Best vacation we’ve ever had. The lodge has everything you need. Tyler was extremely responsive and great to deal with. Everyone left wishing we had booked a few more days, it was that perfect. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks Tyler.

Wonderful stay. Exactly what we needed. The house was slightly smaller than we thought. We had 9 adults and it was tight. Would suggest no more than 6 adults. Pool house is more suited to teens. All in all, it was it was beautiful and serene and I would highly recommend this property to others. Randy was extremely helpful and one of the better vrbo hosts I have worked with.

This place is amazing with all the amenities you would need in one locations! We loved that we never had to go anywhere to find a new activity for our family to do. The pool was fun and warm, the pond was stocked with great fish to catch. The house was comfortable and the beds were great to sleep in. The host checked up on us to make sure everything was going well. Great place and we will be coming back again!

Thank you for hosting my family. Listing was accurate and the property was as advertised. We utilized the pool every day - multiple times. Our kids ages 5 and 10 years old loved the pool, trail around the lake, and fishing in the morning. Great communication with the host, easy access, and everything was clean. We were all impressed with the property. The house and grounds were beautiful! There was 9 in our group, mixed ages, and we all enjoyed our stay very much! The house had everything we needed as was said and was so comfortable feeling! We all really enjoyed the heated pool & slide and hot tub a lot. Let’s not forget the fishing too! They were sure biting!! Grandkids loved it!! The host made everything so easy from making the reservation to checking in and making sure we had all we needed. And the “ambassador “ Dave the duck was loved by all. The grandkids loved giving him oyster crackers! Definitely on our revisit list!!!

Place has everything you could need for an awesome vacation. Pay attention to hidden fees because there are fees for “extra guests” even though it says it sleeps 14 and we only had 10. The cleaning fee is also outrageous as you’re expected to leave the place clean when you leave. The house was amazing and had everything you could need. The owner was very responsive to anny questions and even provided bags of ice for our coolers for the entire stay. The heated pool is fantastic. The lake has tons of great fishing but it was mostly covered in algae which made kids fishing nearly impossible. There are even several disc golf baskets that were a pleasant surprise when we arrived. I’d say the place was perfect if it weren’t for the very pricey added hidden fees.

Our group of 6 had an amazing stay celebrating a birthday. Loved the house, pool, and spa. Beds are comfortable. Plenty to do at the estate or drive an hour to visit the Herman wineries, breweries and distilleries. Thanks for sharing your home!

4 women (60ish.) House nice, pool and hot tub amazing. We had planned to have someone stay in the poolhouse. It ended up we didnt use it, maybe okay for younger ones but not us. We did a lot of walking around the lake, kayaked and enjoyed Dave the duck and his Canadian goose friend. Property manager 5***** 's. Great weather all week! Thanks for sharing your vacation rental- we had a wonderful time.

This place is absolutely amazing! It has everything you need. We had adults and an infant and it felt like home. Everyone was comfortable. The owner is wonderful with communicating to make sure your stay is everything you want it to be. This was my second time here and I will definitely come for a 3rd!

This is a hidden gem perfect for a getaway from the city. The pool and outside entertaining area makes the place exceptional. The kitchen is well stocked! Lots of area to gather as a group both inside and out

This location is the perfect getaway for adults and kids! Adults can relax and kids can play and explore! This property had everything available that you could ever imagine needing and more! Including extra ice! I really loved the security gate and the privacy of the property. We will definitely be back!

The property was beautiful. The kids greatly enjoyed the pool especially the slide. They also went fishing Sunday morning. There was a cherry tomatoe plant in the flower bed that we enjoyed! Dave the duck made us feel welcome and enjoyed the pieces of bread. We highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a fun, family get together!. Thank you.

All I can say is that rarely do rentals meet the expectations of what the rental listing would lead you to believe. This place not only meets expectations but it goes way beyond. Both in the property itself and the service provided by the hosts. If I could give it 6 stars, I would.

We had the best time! We were three families with kids, the space was perfect! We very much enjoyed the pool, hot tub and lake! When we arrived everything was perfect, we settled right in. We had one small issue that Randy immediately took care of, he is the perfect host with great communication. Don’t hesitate, book now!

The house is wonderful for a large group. Everyone had their own space. We love the extra ice that was on hand for the coolers. You can't beat the views!! We had a nice storm roll in while sitting outside and it was absolutely beautiful. The pool was made for playing volleyball with the middle being deep and the ends being shallow. This was our second time staying here and will definitely be back!

There were 13 of us- my parents, siblings, partners, and kids. We came a few years back during the COVID shut downs and restrictions. Our only requirement was that it have a pool. Randy's property exceeded expectations with a water slide! The outdoor kitchen is amazing. My brother wants to build one because we spent almost all our time our in it. There are plenty of places to sleep. Three bedrooms and each sitting room has multiple sleeper sofas, and there are air mattresses in a bedroom closet so if you have that kid who can't sleep away from their parents, they can sleep on the air mattress rather than crowding in with you.
Several of us used the kayaks on the small lake, and there's frisbee golf on the property as well. No one got around to fishing because relaxing in the pool was enough at the end of the day.
Belle is a small town and the pizza place was closed for the summer, so don't plan on eating out. There's ice cream and the folks at the Mace market are friendly and helpful. Tell them you're staying at the property with the palm trees and they know where you are.
It's our second stay and we'll most likely be back if the schedules work out for us all.
Just come. You won't regret it!

Beautiful property inside and out! We had our family six adults and six kids, ages 6 through 67 and we all loved it. Between the house and the pool and the huge lake, what more could you want?! We will definitely return! Don’t miss out going to Bob’s Custard in the town of Belle. Everyone agreed it was the best! Also ate at El Charro and that was very good,and they were very accommodating to our large group

We stayed in early summer with family friends (13 of us, total, ages 6 to 44) and there was plenty of space for everyone and a ton to do. The pool and hot tub were perfect and well-heated, and the outdoor areas were outstanding. The kids loved the kayaks, the slide in the pool and the poolside TV area,. House is lovely and had everything we needed. Sunsets were incredible and the evenings outdoors were tranquil and relaxing. Randy (the owner) was super helpful and communication was very easy. A few of us took an afternoon trip to Meramec Springs (about 40 minutes away) and that was great, but really the property has everything you need if you decide you just want to relax and stay on site. Highly recommended!

This was just what we were looking for with a family vacation. We have two young grandsons that are very active. The pool and the land gave them plenty to do. The host was excellent and very responsive with any questions we had. Dave, the duck, may have been the highlight of the trip. He was great! We will definitely be back.

This place was Beyond Perfect for group!
3 Adult couples and 4 teenagers.
We swam, we hot tubbed, we watched TV outside, we used 2 of the 3 firepits and had All of our meals by the outdoor Kitchen /poolside area!

This was our second time staying at Big Oak Lodge. My husband and I stayed in July of 2022 for 3 nights and returned for another 3 nights this May. Randy and his team were extremely fast to respond when we had a question about the TVs and helped us to figure out what we were doing wrong. The property was just as wonderful as it was when we stayed in July, and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the pool and hot tub again and stargazing at night. Similar to our previous stay, we were visited by Dave the duck multiple times (he’s so friendly!). The only problem we had with our stay was that it ended (we should have planned for a couple more nights), but I’m certain we’ll be back again and will plan a little better next time. 😊

We were thankful throughout our trip for the ease of communication. If we needed anything, it was just a text away. Dave the duck greeted us promptly on arrival but after checking us out, gave us our distance. Our children really enjoyed his hospitality. We mainly lived outside; took walks in the morning (great trails around the property), grilled our meals, and played in the pool and hot tub. Everything was easy to operate, clean and enjoyable. Inside, the kitchen had several gadgets. We ended up running into town for waffle mix once we saw the waffle iron. We had an amazing stay, and highly recommended this property to anyone interested!

This property is perfect for people who want to spend their days around the pool and their nights... Around the pool! The property is shockingly gorgeous and sunsets are jaw-dropping! Kind hosts, too! BYO pillow if you like em to be of a specific style, and BYO coffee grinder. Other than that, just show up in your bathing suit!

We all loved are stay in belle Mo. the outside area is gorgeous and offers so much space ti play. Loved the plan tree, the sunflowers, the ice chest, the view, kayaks, the extra freezer space, the outdoor cooking area, the pool house, having 4 bathrooms, and the comfy beds. Seriously this place is awesome!
