La struttura offre ampi spazi, bellissime viste sul fiume, un'atmosfera accogliente da baita in legno e ottime comodità. Gli ospiti hanno apprezzato attività come il kayak, i barbecue e i giochi in famiglia. Altamente consigliato per una vacanza rilassante.

Stayed for an extended weekend with some friends. The place was great for getting together and had ample space for food and relaxing. There were many AC units which helped with the heat. The river location was unique and made an excellent quiet place for morning coffee. Frank was very responsive and helpful.

This was the second year I have taken my large family to unwind at this beautiful gem on the river. It’s a perfect spot to take off on the kayaks and canoe, then play evening kickball games in the nice large yard followed by grilling dinners on the old but glorious stone grill, and don’t forget the evening fire with smores at the fire pit. The views are spectacular and we just can’t get enough of it all! Frank is a wonderful hostess, thank you Frank!

We had a wonderful stay here. It is an absolutely beautiful location and the house is very spacious but still has a cozy, wood-cabin feel. Great communication with the hosts as well.

This is the 2nd year in a row we've stayed at the property and it's perfect for groups. Great river front access along w/ plenty of yard space to throw the ball around or play cornhole.
The property also has a magnificent fire place for the evening time and the kitchen is well stocked to cook big group meals.
Easy access/ 10 minute drive to a market to get all of the basic needs.

The pictures don't do the house justice. The outdoor space is fantastic, includes 3 seperate decks and 2 porches in addition to the river front. The cumbersome check-in/reservation forms and lack of notification about blankets- bring your own, that wasn't on the listing although the practice is 3 years old, could be refined. Ths hosts communicated well, the house was immaculately clean, 3 total refrigerators, a large wood fireplace, the list goes on.

Peaceful retreat
What an excellent place to stay to unwind, relax and enjoy the outdoors from a family kickball game to daily river trips on our kayaks and canoe ending evenings with cookout on the large stone grill followed by camp fire and s’mores. So enjoyed this property! Thank you Frank and Laurie

We converged on the Wheeler-Farley house from California, Ohio and Pittsburgh to celebrate a few birthdays and family and friends in general.

Kipps-Coman stay
This house is the perfect get away in the beautiful foothills of the Appellation Mountains in PA. The house was spacious, kitchen is fully equipped with necessities, there was enough bathrooms and bedrooms, multiple indoor and outdoor seating, and the riverside views and splashes was the cherry on the cake. Highly recommend!!

Amazing Location & Experience
Our family enjoyed a much needed weekend break at the Wheeler- Farley House. The home was both extremely clean and spacious. The location on the Allegheny River was both beautiful and secluded. The owners were very accessible and even reached out to us during our stay to ensure we had what we needed. My children are already asking to go back. I would most certainly recommend this rental for persons of all ages!

Relevant Ladies Retreat
This property was perfect for our stay. Plenty of room for our group, we had ample space for everyone. We loved the decor and the history behind the property was very interesting.
The owner was just a phone call away when we had a small issue with the ice maker.
I would rent this property again.

Awesome property away from crowds
Although it was cold for us to go out and do outdoor activities, we enjoyed the outdoor grill, backyard river experience. It is a nice property if you want to stay away from crowds in a nature surrounded place. I would love to visit this place in summer again.

Perfect for spring getaway with family
This property was the perfect setting for an overdue long weekend with family. We had 8 adults and 6 kids, and we didn't feel crowded at all. It was chilly so we made full use of the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace. The hosts were fantastic communicators. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home!

The property was lovely and clean. We really enjoyed the location on the river and the large dining table. Suggest letting future guests know they need to dispose of their own garbage and that purchasing firewood in the local area is not easy if you don't desire a large quantity.

Perfect family vacation location!
This cabin was just about perfect. We had 9 kids ranging in ages from 1-14 and every single one of them found tons of stuff to do (without electronics!) and had a great time. Perfect escape to recharge your batteries and enjoy wonders of nature. I highly recommend this cabin and location.

Wheeler-Farley Place Unbelievable Beauty
This was was the most awesome vacation for our family . If you just want to get away from it all and just relax and enjoy God’s beauty this is the place to go . You don’t even have to leave the property to have fun . Although there are plenty of things to see and places to go if you choose to. The best place to stay along the Allegheny!
This was our second year here and we plan on returning next year. I believe that says more than anything. Very clean. On the river. Lots of space and has more than everything you would need.

Best spot on the Allegheny
Our family has been going to W-F for over a decade and it is one of the true bright spots of the summer for us. Spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Surely one of the finest spots to enjoy the Allegheny River, in the water or out. Plenty to do…and also a great place to do nothing at all except enjoy the views and a good book. Traditions include cooking on the huge outdoor grill, campfires each night, and morning coffee “down on the rock” while watching the birds dart in and out of the rising mist. Look forward to this every year.

So relaxing and beautiful
The location is perfect if you want to be on a more secluded stretch of the river, and the house is big, clean, and comfortable. You can walk out the door, down the porch steps to the river and watch the eagles fly by and the blue herons wade. We spent a lot of time kayaking up and down the river, mostly without seeing anyone else during the weekdays. (Weekends, you can watch canoes and kayakers paddle down.) The owners, very nice people, are always responsive.

GEORGEOUS!
This property is amazing! The house is beautifully furnished, warm and cozy. It was impeccably clean with fresh linens and towels. The porches had beautiful views of the river and the mountains. We enjoyed playing games in the spacious fields on the property. It was perfect for our family gathering. We highly recommend this property. We plan to return to this house in the future.

We spend 3 days in this place, the house is perfectly situated if you are looking for a quite place surrounded by nature. The house is perfectly equipped for families with kids or group of friends.

Loved it! Beautiful
The house was amazing! Clean no bugs or spider webs!! Water was nice! Saw tons of bald eagles!! We had our daughters graduation there and fit all our family (8) perfectly and comfortably!! The grill was good for our outdoor cooking needs and the yard was a great badminton yard!!

Wonderful vacation house
Don't pass up the opportunity to rent this great house. Everyone in my group was very pleased with this house as soon as they walked into the door. The house is better then the pictures show. So much to do with having access to the river, playing your favorite games in the large yard or just relaxing on the deck. You couldn't ask for more.

So much to do in the area. House was clean with all the amenities. The river access was the cherry on top for any down time. Excellent private area on grounds. Plenty of space for a multitude of uses. Had a great time and would go back again.

Relaxing and peaceful location to unwind.
Our family enjoyed our Canadian Thanksgiving at the Wheeler-Farley House. We are repeat visitors, so we knew it was well maintained and it offered so much to do in the area. There are enough beds to accommodate about 15 people and kitchen/ dining area that will seat any large family easily. There is Wi Fi available and big screen t.v. to enjoy in front of a beautiful wood fireplace. We highly recommend the Wheeler-Farley House to anyone that wants to get away and relax in beautiful surroundings in the Allegheny. Excellent customer service and information provided by the Palmiero's.

Great Place to Stay!
An "Annual Girls Weekend" turned into a "Fabulous Girls Weekend" because the house is so nice! There were 13 of us ranging in age from late 20's to late 60's. The house has everything you could ask for. Full kitchen, clean linens, wifi, cable, plenty of room, great view, the list goes on! Very clean and kept. Could not have been happier with everything.

Our favorite vacation
We found the Wheeler-Farley house after years of trying to find a peaceful, relaxing place on the water, not far from Pittsburgh. Once we found it we realized what a jewel this house is and have booked it every year since (10 years). It's on a special section of the Allegheny River--quiet, with eagles' nests nearby and an island across the way, and water that's ideal for the type of nice-and-easy kayaking we do.
The owners are great, very responsive, and the place is always immaculate when you arrive. We highly recommend this treasure on the river.
