The picture do not do this place justice. We had our wedding here over the 4th of July and it was perfect. Everyone was blown away by how spacious it was. We had about 70 people in attendance and about 16 staying, mostly adults and big kids. Don't let the fact that there are bunks deter you, they have more than enough room for grown men over 6ft. This place has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you may need for hosting any event. The kids (and adults) loved the dock and the fact that they have multiple kayaks, paddle boards, and lounge chairs to use. It's in a private cove with little boat traffic so you won't get beat up by boats passing by and we had no issues parking our 24' fishing boat at the dock. The boat ramp is also really close which was great. There is a ton of space for parking so hosting an event or having multiple trucks with trailers could easily fit. Loren is an amazing host. She evern put together an amazing book with any information you would want when visiting a new town. She was always available to answer any questions that we had. She even hooked us up with some great references on venders in the area. I could go on and o about how exceptional our experience was. My only "downside" (but it really wasn't) was that the cell phone reception was not the best. There is wifi at the house. If you do have a wedding with songs you want to play, I recommend downloading them before you get there just incase there is a lag. We didnt have issues though

We love "My Gal Sal" and return annually. In fact, we were married on the property in 2023.
It's a fantastic home to bring together a large group of friends and family. The house is immaculate with everything you could possibly want to entertain a large crowd. The huge bunk room on the second floor is perfect for all the teenagers/young people in our entourage; having so many bathrooms makes mornings and after-lake showers a breeze, and there is plenty of space for people to spread out for different activities and personal space, and then come together in the large, open living room-kitchen area. The big covered porch is perfect for morning coffee and evening gatherings. The home was obviously designed with extended family in mind, and attention to detail.
Our group includes people ages 2 - 70, and there's something for everyone to do and enjoy, regardless of weather. The garage pool table and table tennis are always a hit, there's a ton of board games and great lounge space where the kids enjoy hours long Uno tournaments when they're not on the water, and we bring our boat and jet skis and tie off at the dock without problem. There is a boat launch just around the corner which is super convenient.
The property manager is wonderful. She's really helpful and quick to respond to any questions.
Once we found "My Gal Sal," I no longer have to spend countless hours looking through VRBO listings. This is the perfect Lake Hartwell house for us year-after-year.

Could not have been more perfect for our family reunion. I love the house layout for togetherness! My parents are in their 80's and are comfortable on the second floor and can see the activities on the dock as well as the third floor gameroom activities from the den or the porch on the second floor. We will continue to come back....

This is a gorgeous home on Lake Hartwell ! We rented the house for a weekend of boating, wakesurfing, paddle boarding, and jetskiing. Kelli was an incredibly gracious host and was very helpful with answering any and all questions I had in the weeks leading up to our arrival. Highest recommendations for this property if you're looking for a fun weekend on the water in Hartwell.

We had a wonderful time! The property was very clean and spacious. The added bonus of a paddle board and kayaks was great for the younger members of our family. The only thing that we needed was a larger coffee pot and Keurig for those lazy mornings on that big porch.

We did enjoy our stay at the cabin. The property was clean and there was plenty of room for our large group. There were two issues that prevented the experience from being perfect. First, there is a camera installed in the kitchen. This is an invasion of privacy and was not disclosed in the listing. Also, the upstairs refrigerator did not work well and our food was room temperature. There was a refrigerator in the garage so we were able to move our groceries. Overall it was a good stay but our group was creeped out by the camera.

This home is a great place for family gatherings. Our extended family had all we needed for a fun family weekend. Plenty of room for all ages. Adults enjoyed the pool table while the teens played games and watched movies. Kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I've seen in a rental home!

Another Wonderful Event!
Our family were fortunate to visit this property in 2017 for our "Annual Retreat" and decided to return...unfortunately due to COVID-19 surges in 2020 and 2021 we had to cancel. We made it happen over the 4th of July 2022 and had a BLAST!!! Property in pristine condition with more than enough amenities to make you really feel at home. One family member was able to dock his boat and we took cruises around Lake Hartwell...one unexpected and pleasant surprise was the fireworks viewable from the lake! One Property had a fireworks show that could have went toe to toe with any small city in America! Owners always very responsive and totally accommodating! Although we "rotate" properties every year, this property is quickly gaining consideration as a permanent location for our "Family Retreat. " Thank you very much! Jl

Phenomenal Vacation
This was the first time my husband and I stayed at the lake and the bar is set extremely high. We will not want to rent any other vacation home other than this one at Hartwell! The house was full of anything and everything that you could possibly need. I love to cook and I love to entertain and it felt like I was at home. My kids and family were thrilled with all of the outdoor toys and options for entertainment. On the rainy evenings we were able to play tons of fun games that were stocked in the house. 10 out of 10

Great lake house for a large group!!
The property is perfect for a large group getaway on the lake. The house is very clean, spacious, has everything you could possibly need. Owner is very responsive and helped me coordinate a catered lunch. We rented a boat from Hartwell Marina which is less than a 10 minute boat ride from the house. We will definitely be renting the house again next year.

Had my son's wedding in Anderson and this place was the perfect spot for our family to spend a long weekend. Got on the water, played games, rocked on the porch, had a blast. Thanks so much!!!

This home was awesome and accommodated 3 families very well. 15 total. The living area and kitchen were very spacious and the outdoor space was wonderful with large dining tables outside to enjoy dinner and relaxing. This was the most WELL STOCKED kitchen I have ever been in, You will need nothing for cooking meals/dinners with plenty of serving pieces, baking items, appliances at your fingertips. The garage/game room was awesome for our teens/college kids. Pool table, ping pong table and corn hole kept them entertained on our rainy day. This home is located on a nice secluded cove that can dock up to 2 boats easily. We rented a pontoon and ski bot from tri county boat rentals (ask for Jay) and they delivered and picked up the boats with ease! The house also had great water towns like kayaks and YOLO boards to use. Finally, communication with the owner was easy and they were so gracious. We dealt with the owner's son, Carter, who was very knowledgable about the area and anything needed at the house. He was gracious and very easy to reach out to at any given time. Finally, there is a large nice Ingles Grocery store at the end of the road which made shopping so easy. Also, the downtown area was adorable and Southern Hart Brewery was delicious and could accomodate our large group without any problems. Great vacation in this quiet, quaint town with wide open waters to ski, tube and boat on every day!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The Millers from Florida

Beautiful, Comfortable, Relaxing
We rented My Gal Sal for my parents 60th Wedding anniversary. This house was perfect! There were 17 of us and we had everything we needed to make some beautiful memories and enjoy our family. All of us agreed that we will do this annually and come back to this place. This host has gone above and beyond to make a retreat that is one of the very best out there.

We could not have asked for a more perfect place. Our 7 grandchildren are between 13 and 17 and all enjoyed the experience tremendously. There are loads of games, three kayaks, a pool table, and poker table. The kids amused themselves! What a wonderful place to hold our family gathering. We could not have been happier.

We had a wonderful weekend at My Gal Sal. A beautiful home and location. Kelli has thought of everything! We were so impressed with how well-stocked the house was for entertainment, water activities, and cooking. Several of the ladies are already planning to come back with family.

Amazing place, it’s actually even allot bigger in person than in the pictures. I was actually worried about the bunk beds BUT they turned out to be one of the coolest parts of the house and super comfy. We will be back next year! Thank you Kelly for worthing with us as well!
