The location was brilliant and the room was quiet. The aircon was wonderful in the heatwave, and the hotel restaurant was superb. The shower was good and the room and bathroom were clean. Room service was amazing - I recommend the coffee.

There was no toilet paper so we had to buy our own and we didn't like the Indian breakfast. Each day you have to get a voucher for breakfast which wasn't at the hotel restaurant but a cafe next door. Their food is fine, but I had been very ill and just wanted something like toast or omelette for breakfast, which wasn't available.

we booked 8 rooms and after we checked out, we realised that, 2 of our members have left their watches in the rooms, so we called hotel to check the rooms and they said that there was nothing in those rooms, it clearly states that the housekeeping staff has stolen those watches, so the property owners have no control over the housekeeping staff, this is not at all professional and we are highly disappointed with booking at this property. just wanted to give one of example here, just one day before we checked out from one of the home-stays in malpe and there by mistake I have forgot my silver bracelet worth of rs. 5000, I have totally forgot about it, and we got call from property manager that they have found the bracelet and he came up up to Udupi to return it to me, that’s kind of trust we are expecting from a big hotels like Karuna but sadly we are highly disappointed to book the rooms here.

Excellent location very near to city center . Deluxe rooms are very clean and of medium size. Staff is cooperative.

Once inside this comfortable quality hotel you will not hear a single honk or beep from the incredibly noisy road. Great central location, so many good places to eat and heaps of transport options right on your doorstep (taxi, rickshaw, buses). The staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. Parking is available under the hotel.

There is limited space down the lane outside the hotel for a vehicle to turn. Something to bear in mind if you are being dropped off.
