2024: Returning for the 7th year with our same close group of friends to stay at this well-appointed KY Lake home on beautiful property and peaceful location should say it all! A mid-week reservation during mid-Aug is particularly nice with most schools back in session. KY Lake is still warm and pontoon boat rental at nearby Cypress Springs Resort is still possible prior to Labor Day.
Our only disappointment was unexpected dock repairs that were being done during our stay due to needed maintenance and storm damage earlier in the year. The owner Marc, made us fully aware of this work (already delayed for 2 months) the week prior to our arrival. We were able to make the best of this unexpected inconvenience, while fully realizing these repairs/improvements are one of the reasons we always enjoy returning to this beautiful and well maintained property. God willing we all hope to return next year!

This home has so much to offer and far exceeded our expectations! The owners were helpful with any questions we had. Our family of 6 adults and 4 children ages 13, 11, 8, & 7 had a blast! We have rented MANY places over the years and this home was the most well stocked we’ve ever encountered. The kitchen had high end appliances, cook wear and dishes…nothing was lacking. The kids played in the wonderful basement game room every evening, but they were worn out from all the fun in the water, we all took turns on the paddle board, kayaks, and canoe, all new to us. There are 16 life jackets from infant to large adult and 16 beach towels provided. We rented a pontoon from a nearby marina and went tubing for the day…a highlight for the kids. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing and views of the lake and the sunsets are incredible!

Truly, I don't think there is any way I can come up with the words to adequately describe how lovely this home and the surrounding property are. We spent four days and five nights here playing in the basement, swimming from the dock, fishing from the dock, boating (got a rental nearby), cooking in the beautiful kitchen, enjoying the back porch, sitting around the fire pit, and spending time together. It is clear that this property and home are well loved. Little details like a well-maintained humming bird feeder off the back porch made for lots of wonderful surprises. Of all the places I have ever stayed, I can say this is the one I will definitely return to.

We're a group of 3 older couples, no children and stayed at this cabin 2 years ago. We have fallen in love with the neighborhood, quiet neighbors, house and dock. If you like the fish, the fishing is awesome just from the dock. We didn't even rent a boat this year. We stayed 4 nights and didn't even leave once. The gameroom downstairs looks really cool, but we didn't get a chance to use it since the weather was so gorgeous, we spent all our time outside! Thank you to Marc for sharing his paradise with us!! <3

Came out for a couples retreat and we all absolutely fell in love! The view and the comfortable surroundings were exactly what we will needed. We already unanimously decided that this is our every year place. The only now i have is perhaps the matter bed has aged out and may need to be replaced. But that doesn't change joe much we mixed this place.

A really awesome place with indoor and outdoor activities. We had a great time playing ping pong, pool, shuffle board and then hanging out around the dock and fireplace. Great place to stay!

This was our 2nd stay in the cabin and again a very wonderful place for family get togethers. Plenty of kitchen supplies for our entire Thanksgiving dinner. Was too cold to fish but the fireplace and inside games kept us happy. Also not far from Blues Landing, highly recommend for a night out. Thank you for a wonderful view, and clean and cozy stay!

Property is very quiet and in a peaceful part of the lake. We did not use the house for any lake activities, but it appears to be fully equipped for it. Property is in good condition and clean. Kitchen is well equipped and the house has ample room for socializing. Overall the property exceeded out expectations.

This was our family's 4 stay at this property and we always have a wonderful time! The weather was perfect, we cought (and released) a couple dozen fish, enjoyed the fire pit, kayaked, and played it the game room! We promised our children we'd be back next fall!

This has been the best rental cabin we have ever been. The minute you walk in the cabin you feel like home. It was the perfect weekend for us. Everything you need, it was there. I could go on and on. This is the 6th year that Shaun and Marc have allowed us to rent their special home/property on KY Lake. Needless to say this unique property and well equipped modern home is extremely well maintained with subtle improvements made over the years. Favorite spots are always eating on the screened-in porch, relaxing on the dock or enjoying a campfire & star gazing.. The Wison's have always been quick to answer any question or help to resolve an issue. They have even been a bit flexible in helping us make our resevations, which we truly appreciate. God willing, we hope to return again to this "slice of heaven"..

Childhood friends and I stayed here for some quiet time in the lake. The place was nice, the location good, great amenities.
There was one thing that I was troubled by and which garners the place only 3 out of 5 stars, which was the fact that the description said the place was monitored but it wasn't made clear that there were security cameras everywhere outside and at the docs. May just be me, but it felt weird and like an invasion of privacy as we spent much of our time outside within the viewshed of the cameras. Most unsettling was the back porch camera that faced toward the house and through the windows that had no blinds or curtains.
Again, if you can get over that, this place is a hit. Or if they were to amend their current surveillance situation to grant some more privacy, this place is a hit.

This home was better than expected. We had so much fun using all the toys included…kayaks, canoe, paddle boards. Lots of fishing and swimming off the dock. Loved the screened in porch at night. This cabin was perfect for our long weekend. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer! So much room for our family of 6 plus my In-laws! House had everything we could think of and more! Lots of fun had down in the amazing basement at night. My son and I were able to take in a baseball game at Murray State and my girls and I even took a trip to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower! Who knew you could check Paris in the Springtime off your bucket list in the Midwest?!? We would love to come back and stay for a week in the summer!

This property exceeded our expectations. Activities for everyone in our group. Fishing, walking, game room, grilling, fire pit, wonderfully equipped kitchen. We loved having meals on the screened in porch and carving pumpkins on the covered back porch. We are already looking at dates we can return as there are fun things to do year round. We had to become accustomed to the “creaks” due to the log structure but slept well anyway because we were tired from all the activities. Owners responded quickly to questions. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love this property! So quiet and peaceful. All we could hear while enjoying the back porch were birds chirping, fish splashing and geese honking. Inside the gentlemen played games and watched football in the downstairs game room, while the ladies sat in front of a nice fire, napping and reading.
Marc was very quick to return a text when we had any questions.
We very highly recommend this spot, except of course for the week we want to rent it 😊

This is a lovely log home with rustic charm on a large and private lot. the view of the lake is beautiful and the home has every amenity. the home itself is exceptionally well furnished and was the perfect size for my Family of 6 adults and one child. Marc communicated with me very well. I would definitely return.

Aside from the fact that we rented this beautiful property for 10 and there were three of us, it was absolutely perfect! Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and the perfect point to watch them from. We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The house was over the top!! We plan on coming back with freinds next time!

We’ve rented homes all over the country, from Pawley’s Island, SC to Montana to the Oregon coast and this was one of the nicest - and definitely the most peaceful. The home had everything you could possibly need: very well-stocked kitchen, high end appliances and comfortable beds. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails on the back deck facing the lake. We had just a couple of questions that were answered in a prompt and friendly way by the owner. Nearby Murray is a college town with restaurants and shopping and we especially liked The Willow Bistro for lunch. Absolutely hope to go back!

The fact that this was our 5th year in a row renting this lake home and special property is really all that needs to be said!
One of the things we have always enjoyed was the peacefulness of this property during our previous spring or fall trips. Returning in late Aug, we were pleasantly surprised at how peaceful the lake still was during the week days we booked. The owners Shaun and Marc always maintain this property extremely well . The beautiful dock with sitting area was redone a year ago. A new campfire area this year was especially nice, located near the lake with a great nighttime view of the stars. The gentle slope of this property makes it fairly easy to navigate, even for individuals with slightly restricted mobility. The screened in porch includes a dining table and remains one of our favorite spots to socialize/eat.
Although not needed this year, Marc has always been very responsive to any questions or concerns prior to or during our visits. We are so grateful that the Wilson’s allow us to rent and enjoy their extremely unique modern log home and spectacular KY Lake property.
Our stays have always been, truly a slice of heaven!

The pictures of this home do not do it justice. The home is gorgeous with lots of room and had everything you would need. The beautiful outside is so relaxing. Huge yard with a amazing view of the lake tucked into a nice cove. The kids swam like crazy off the dock while the adults enjoyed the outside seating areas with ceiling fans!! It was quiet and peaceful and just what we all needed before the kiddos head back to school.

Great Lake Getaway
This lake house is awesome! The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and the neighbors are friendly and helpful. There were 6 older adults that stayed here and we cooked in every day so we could relax down at the dock and fish. The fishing was great since this location is at the point of Kentucky Lake. We drew numbers for the bedrooms and the couple that got the upstairs suite was in heaven. The 2 bedrooms downstairs are very private, quiet and comfortable and on the smaller size. The kitchen was supplied with top notch cookware and dishes. There wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't there. The yard was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the back porch since we had the perfect weather. The downstairs (basement) looked very nice with lots of activities, but we never got to enjoy them since the outdoors was calling us outside every day. I must say that we LOVED the comfortable beds and the pillows and had the best sleep every night. Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous home.
