I think this is our 4th stay here and will not be our last. Madequecham has become one of our favorite areas of the island. You can't beat the home location for views and general privacy. Holly has always been very responsive and accommodating. I don't want to rave too much because there will never be availability for our returns!

Property was clean but not “polished” - absolutely perfect for low-stress vacation with 2 teens and dog. Gorgeous, remote setting with views of ocean from deck and master bedroom. Airplanes fly over only 1-2x per day during set hours. Not bothersome. Would need bike with large tires to get out to main roads. Without rugged bike or a car, it was tricky to get cab/Uber drivers to accept requests. Must be flexible if you want to get around by Uber. Perfect for people who are content to cook in most nights and spend all day on deck/at beach.

The property was lovely and quaint. The house was clean and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay.

We stayed for 2.5 weeks and loved it. It feels like home to us. We had a crazy storm for a couple days and the house held up very well. It’s perfect for a couple or small family. A very special place on our favorite part of Nantucket.

Holly's home is absolutely perfect if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay on Island. The home is cozy and has everything you need. Also very conveniently located near the beach (about a minute or 2 walk). My husband, 2 dogs and I had an awesome stay and cannot wait to book again for next year! 10/10 would recommend.

Had an incredible few days at this very special property on the ocean. It was peaceful, serene, cozy and the view - SPECTACULAR! Not to mention a very short drive to town with all the shops and restaurants Nantucket has to offer. The dirt access road is a little rough. 4-wheel drive helped a lot, especially when it rained. The air traffic in October was minimal. The proximity did not take away at all from our vacation experience. The host, Holly was absolutely lovely, responsive and answered all of my questions. What an incredibly special place on Nantucket. I can't wait to come back! Thank you so much Holly!

This is our 3rd time staying at this home and it never disappoints. We especially love it for its prime locations, steps away from a quiet, pristine beach where we would take daily morning and sunset walks with the dogs The road to the house is a 2 mile bumpy dirt/sand road off the beaten path behind the airport. It feels secluded compared to other neighborhoods on island, but that's we prefer on vacation. We've never really wanted for anything while staying here- it's got all the amenities you need for a casual beach vacation. Holly has always been very responsive and communicative with us over the years and we look forward to returning next summer- it's already booked!

We had a lovely stay at this perfect beach cottage. The house is so well equipped and just steps from a wonderful stretch of beach. This was extremely convenient for our family which includes an infant who took frequent naps at the house during the day while others stayed at the beach! The beach road to get to the property was daunting at first but became a favorite part of the experience and adds to the serenity of the location. Sitting on the deck watching the sunset in the evenings, playing on the beach in the mornings with our dog, and taking showers in the outdoor shower at night under the stars are memories we will never forget from our first family vacation. We would love to visit again in the future!

What an amazing spot right on the ocean! You can hear the waves crash from the deck and bedroom window at night! Great spot for a family to relax and conveniently located 15 mins from town. Can’t beat it!

I LOVED the location of this property on the beach, and on a dirt road where the other houses were far enough away that it felt private and secluded. Went with my husband and 5 year old, perfect and cozy, loved having bedrooms and kitchen/living space all on one floor as when we put my daughter to bed we could sit on the back deck and look at the stars and listen to the ocean. I have already booked an even longer stay for next summer! Thank you, Holly!

My husband, daughter and I stayed at Holly’s home over Thanksgiving weekend. The home is just as it appears in the VRBO photos. It is welcoming, immaculate, rustic and the location is perfect.....absolutely perfect. You definitely need a car to access the home. The dirt road that leads to the home was longer than we expected but we adjusted very quickly. Once we arrived at the house and saw the ocean we were transported into a state of complete relaxation. The airport is directly behind the home but as noted in other reviews, it is not bothersome. Holly is a great host and this made making the accommodations so easy. We will definitely return!

The property views are absolutely amazing. We visited in October and were able to enjoy the deck overlooking the ocean and walked out to the beach on nicer days. Holly was great to work with, any questions we had she answered very quickly. The house is also adorable and was perfect for 4 people. Thank you so much for making our much needed getaway that much more perfect!

we'd booked this lovely house for a thurs to sat pm 3 day getaway ... then got the news that hurricane zeta was bearing down on ntkt w 45 mph winds and 8 foot seas thursday nite... got provisioned at the market and hunkered down just in time !. house faces south; views o the anry seas and beach combers w 8 ft waves were spectacular., wind and rain watching from inside this snug cozy well provisioned house was a once- in- a lifetime experience. we had a great time --weather notwithstanding.

First rate experience. Great house, location, and time of year.

We enjoyed our stay at this property for a few days. The beach home was located within a short walk down to a beach - it was wonderful to sit on the deck and enjoy the views and listen to the waves crash in. It is not a calm beach, but still great for walking and enjoying the quiet. There is a beach access road near the property driveway, there were a few cars each day and this was mid week in the off season, so I would imagine in the summer that may be a little frustrating with coming and going. We loved that the property was off a long dirt road, yes it added time to drive but it also provided an extra sense of seclusion. The cabin was full of traditional Nantucket charm nicknacks, I loved that. It was not a fancy cabin, but we were looking for charming and thats exactly what this place is. It was very clean, well stocked and a great size for us. Beds were comfy and it was great having wi fi and Roku. We also had our two dogs, who loved the yard (bunnies were giving them some good entertainment!). I felt safe with them being in the yard as it isn't a heavily traveled road. Overall, we loved it and would highly recommend.

We had an amazing time staying at this property - the location to the beach was unbelievable and the house had an old Nantucket charm to it that we absolutely loved. The deck was great for grilling (which we did every night). The beds were super comfy and it looked exactly as it was listed - we were extremely happy with our stay and will definitely stay at this home again!

We had originally planned to honeymoon in Italy but due to Covid changed our plans to stay a week at this beautiful property. We had all the privacy one could ask for and we enjoyed the house and its amenities. Everything was clean and fresh and well maintained. Holly is a great manager. We were so happy to begin our marriage with this beach house.

If you are looking to relax by the beach, this is the place. Especially if you have kids that like to surf and play in the water. Everything about this location, home, and host was perfect and we are already looking for openings to go again. This is an excellent value!

Really enjoyed the stay, it was fantastic to be a walk away from one of the best beaches on the island. Views from the house were fantastic. Outside deck was great - house had everything you might need including games, puzzles, extra blankets, pillows, towels (both beach and bath!). WIFI was great the entire visit. Nice to have the creature comforts of TV + netflix on the nights it was stormy. The house is right at the edge of the airport runway so be ready to be a plane spotter :). Far from town, but we enjoyed being so removed. Only complaint was the outside deck furniture was in really bad disrepair (broken chairs, no cushions) which didn't make it very comfortable to enjoy the outside deck. Outside table lacked an umbrella (although it did show up on the last morning we were there!) which made it hard to eat outside in the sun. This is one of the best features of the house so would recommend an upgrade of outdoor furniture. Outside shower was fantastic - lots of hot water too! Great owner/property manager - super responsive!

There’s no place on Nantucket quite like Madequecham! We loved staying in this adorable 2br house and waking up with the beach in the backyard. The house has everything you could need. It’s simple, comfortable and the locations is unbeatable.

Perfect for a secluded Nantucket getaway right on the beach. Perfect size and location for my wife, myself, baby and dog who were just looking to relax near the water. Home is a traditional low key/simple Cape/Nantucket house (as described) with unobscured access/views of the beach (<100 yards). House sits behind the airport with a ~2-3 mile dirt road to access it and a few other adjacent properties visible. Town and Siaconset are ~10 minute drive each way from the property if looking to diversify away from the beach. You can also ride a bike though need to ride along the dirt road for a few miles but definitely doable. There is public access to the beach adjacent to the house driveway/property though only a few cars were visible in late May on any given day. Large patio overlooking the beach with a brand new grill and outdoor shower where we spent most of our time. Highly recommend if looking for a bit of low key seclusion on the island though with easy access to town if you want.
