This is a great place to stay for a couple days. I like having a recliner. They have a nice porch that looks over a field and a pond. It was peaceful to listen to the frogs and birds. At the end of the road, so no traffic noise.

Was quiet and enjoyed it . Close to all fort Payne has to offer

The property was super clean and just as described. We had a great time and would love to visit again in the future.

Bass Cabin made for a fantastic and comfortable family trip. Our kids loved having the loft! It was a perfect location as well! Close to everything while still feeling like the middle of nowhere. The cows were a fun surprise and our kids were fascinated by them. We will be back!

Check in/ check out was super easy. Cabin was clean, hot tub was excellent on a cool winters evening. Very easy to find the cabin. Location was great just a few minutes from DeSoto State Park. My only real complaint is that there wasn't any chairs around the fire pit. I had read that firewood wasn't provided so we picked up our own on the way up. We got there and there was firewood but nowhere to sit around fire. We will know next time to bring our own camp chairs. Other than that no complaints and would stay again if in the area.

My boyfriend and I booked a last minute vacay and it was perfect! Pros: This cabin is SO cute! The hot tub was really nice and well kept. Very clean. 3 beds. Cows right next door, and a cute neighborhood dog came up to the porch to say hi! Cons : queen bed was firm memory foam. My boyfriend loved it, I just personally prefer a softer mattress, but it wasn’t bad! Having to return home was the only true con of this stay.

We enjoyed our stay so much! A quaint little cabin that was perfect for what we wanted. We were greeted when we first arrived by a sweet puppy dog named Rambler (he was a hound dog). Later that day another sweet dog named Rancher (he was a border Colley). Both were as sweet as can be and made our day. They didn’t hang around long, we called them out welcoming committee. lol. Thanks for a great stay!

It was nice and peaceful

Cozy cabin, very clean. A little isolated for me. Ladder access to loft was difficult. Keurig coffee maker had no coffee pods which are usually provided were not at this cabin. If you want peace and quiet this place is perfect.

Great cabin and location. The cabin had all you need for a comfortable getaway. Nice and clean. After a long day of hiking, a soak in the hot tub was wonderful.

Very clean, easy check in overall a great little cabin. Only obstacle was the ladder to upstairs loft

Wife and I needed just a little place with pice and quiet. Oh, and a hot tub. Perfect. A few things that could have been better. The bed downstairs feeds to be replace. The mattress is sunk in really bad in the middle and there is very little water pressure when taking a shower. It makes it very difficult to rinse off. Other than those two things, it was perfect.

We arrived to find the Bass House exactly as it was presented online. The property was very clean. The hot tube was awesome. Our only issue was the supplies in the kitchen. There is not a lot of room to have extras and I was able to prepare the food we brought, just had to improvise. Such a peaceful place with so much character. I would recommend it completely. If we ever get back to that part of the country, we will be looking to stay in the Bass Cabin.

This property was easy to find, clean, well stocked with essentials and in such a peaceful area. Very appreciative of the streaming services on the tv. Most places we go to do not already have hula, Netflix etc already on the tv. We did not use the hot tub because of the hot weather but will for sure book again in the winter. The check in and check out instructions were clear and easy to follow. Had a great weekend with family.

This is an amazing property. There was a car show there which was a bonus. Seclusion at its best!!! You can’t see the cabin from the street which is great. The cabin was perfect with all the amenities. Hot tub, Wi-Fi and BBQ grill was the highlight of my trip. Will definitely do again, oh and the owner is A1. I had a small issue and he took care of it right away.

Overall this was a fabulous stay for a family of two kids and two adults. The upstairs loft with two twin beds was perfect! The DVD player was previously melted by the fireplace so we couldn’t get that to work, but there was Nextflix, Hulu, and just about any other streaming service on the TV you could imagine so we managed fine with that. The hot tub was perfect for our whole crew and we really enjoyed that. Plenty of towels for everyone to have their own, but no laundry onsite so you will have to hang them to resuse. With a name like “the Bass House” we expected to have a pond to fish in while we were there so that was our only real disappointment. The pond there is actually on the neighbor’s property so it isn’t available for use. We had everything inside/outside the cabin we needed to grill steaks, cook potatoes and sides and stay really comfortable the whole time we were there. Totally a 5/5 stay overall!

The Bass cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was easy to get to and close to all the attractions we were there to see.

The Cabin was very clean and everything a cabin should be:) 5 mins away from DeSoto State Park 15 mins away from DeSoto Falls. Hot tub was clean and relaxing:) Definitely worth booking for a getaway from the Everyday!!

Had a great weekend getaway. Cabin was clean and in good condition. Hot tub was fantastic.

The cabin was nice but the owner lives right next door and if you are on the porch or using the hot tub, there are cars driving right beside you so not secluded like we thought. It is also advertised as the bass cabin with pictures of a lake and people fishing. We took supplies to fish but there is no lake there, just a watering hole for the cows. We were told by management that they put the pictures because there is public fishing around the area. The yard was also very small. We thought we would be able to hang out outside and explore the woods nearby but that was not an option. Clean place to shower and sleep if that is all you are looking for. We wanted a place to hang out and relax but we ended up having to find other things to do during the day.

It was ok .. the pictures make it look alot bigger the dog that "visits" is not child friendly. Other than the state park there isn't much to do

Was looking for a few days away from the hustle and hectic homelife with kids, animals and neighbors. This cabin was in a great spot away from everything, but still close to some great things to do. The spa was definitely a great bonus even with the weather on the chilly side. We did have a few concerns when we first arrived, but after a quick communication with the property manager, he responded quickly and took care of everything and answered our questions without delay. Thanks for a great weekend Bass House!!!

It was an excellent place to get away from things for a while. We even had multiple visits from the dog next door, A super friendly lummox that seemed to want to join us in the hot tub. we declined but he still hung out for a while.

We could not have ask for anything better. It was perfect.

Everything was beautiful.and everything was as described.the door knob kept falling off if I had my Allen wrench I would have fixed it.the hot tub was amazing.and the dogs that came up we're beautiful.we both enjoyed our 7th anniversary in style.will be back

Our stay was great! It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing (as much as it can be with 2 kids) It is located close enough to the local attractions, and even DoorDash will deliver there. The master bed is extremely firm. They have plenty of towels for showers and the hot tub. The owner was friendly and was easy to contact. Highly recommend the bass house!
