5 starts on all categories only because I couldn’t give 6 stars! This property was phenomenal and accurate to its listing! From the overall look and feel of the property to the cleanliness and convenience. We selected this property not only based on the photos listed by the owners but by all of the 5-Star review that previous guests left. Being that it was our first time visiting Hawaii, we didn’t really know what all to expect aside from beautiful weather and scenery. We wanted to ensure that the place we stayed at was clean, safe, and convenient to the things we wanted to do while on vacation. This property really had it all and we went from checking a Hawaii vacation off our “Do it once” bucket list to potentially visiting again in the future!

My wife and 2yo son had an awesome stay at this property. The hosts were so nice and responsive and they have thoughtfully equipped the unit for anyone to have a great stay. The neighborhood was so quiet and calm that it made for a very relaxing stay, and the pool club was perfect. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

We LOVED our stay at Hali'i Kai. This condo was perfect. It had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated small details like the beach bag hanging in the laundry room available for our use! (so helpful!). We also loved being able to use the snorkel gear (highly recommend snorkeling at two-step!) and beach supplies! (made for a great day at Hapuna - bring the boogie boards!)
The condo was well stocked, comfortable, and just overall wonderful. We would without a doubt stay here again!
We had a great experience at the Ocean Club restaurant & pool and we loved watching the sun set from the pool area.

The condo was great just as described. We had a wonderful time staying there. It was spacious, clean, organized. John, the owner provided all info we need to check in. The location of the resort also worked for well for us. We had a great time while on the Big Island.

I don't think I can adequately describe just how fabulous our vacation was at John and Dianna's slice of heaven, but I will try. We brought two of our darling granddaughters to celebrate their graduations from high school and college. We packed in so much fun, food, gorgeous sunsets and laughter! The Ocean Club is a wonderful Hali'i Kai only location that has a beautiful pool and th most delicious food and sweet employees. You MUST try the tempura green beans with unagi and sriracha sauce - literally to die for! The condo had every single thing you could possible wish for in a vacation home. It was SO well stocked and was the perfect location in Waikoloa as well as the entire island. It was immaculately clean ( we are picky about that) and comfortable.
We loved the night snorkeling with the Manta Rays - WOW! Amazing can be an overused word, but not in this case.
Kua Bay Beach is as beautiful as the guides claimed and every meal was delectable. Thank you for a special time for all four of us to remember forever!

This was such an AMAZING property that was close to stores, beaches, trails, and only a short drive from the airport. We had the time of our lives and our kids already want to come back

Great property. Fully furnished kitchen. Full size laundry, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Beach chairs, snorkel gear, bogey boards, beach towels and umbrellas. Very clean and we appreciated kitchen essentials others have left, ziplock bags etc. The Ocean Club was wonderful too. We saw too many whales to count. The restaurant and bar are excellent and some of the best and most convenient food. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. Our host John was easy to communicate with and we appreciated his timely responses. We’d love to return.

Our family had a great stay! The condo is very spacious and clean. It was very quiet at night which was wonderful after a long travel day. The gated community is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool and on site restaurant. We had no issues at all and would definitely stay here again!

John and Diana's condo could not have been nicer. This was my girlfriend (now fiance :) ) and I's first time to Hawai'i and staying here made it the perfect trip. The condo was immaculate with all the amenities you could possibly want, the resort grounds were absolutely gorgeous, and there was so much to do within a 15 minute drive. We had high expectations coming into this trip and we were still blown away. I couldn't recommend staying here enough and we plan to stay here anytime we come to Hawai'i in the future.

Our visit to this residence, in the Hali'i Kai community at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, was a pure joy from start to finish. We found the condominium itself even more impressive than the owner's listing suggested, and its conveniences and amenities even more lavish. And the owner himself was extraordinarily helpful and responsive, replying to even our slightest and silliest inquiries with an almost startling promptitude. I would not hesitate to describe the quality and comfort of the accommodations provided at this residence as clearly superior to those of a four-star luxury hotel, and I would most certainly and most eagerly visit here again.

We loved absolutely everything about this unit. We spent a week enjoying breakfast on the lanai and sunsets at the Ocean Club. And the condo is a perfect middle point for access to all parts of the island. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!!

This condo has been amazing. There is everything you need to make it comfortable from the kitchen being stocked with pans and utensils to the washer and dryer after beach days. The beach club area is beautiful for morning and evening swims. We did not eat at the beach club to rate the food but the vibe was lovely, just watch out for the attendant at the pool. There is one lady the works there that was very rude, she will make you dump out even water if you try and bring it in the pool area. We went down to the club to grill some dinner one night at the bbq and she even yanked a glass bowl out on my daughters hand while saying glass wasn’t allowed. I understand the rule there just needed to be more class when enforcing the rules. She was very rude.
Other than our encounters with her it was truly fantastic. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful property. Excellent location in Hali’i Kai, a beautiful gated community with an amazing pool area, fitness center, and restaurant on the ocean. The unit was nice and clean and spacious for a 2 bedroom. May stay here again in the future if available and highly recommend to others.

Excellent location in our favorite spot on Big Island. Loved the snorkel gear! Truly they’ve thought of next to everything when it comes to Hawaii gear from the hydrogen peroxide to the boogie boards. Only item we thought we could use was a large beach shovel so we bought one and now you’re set!
Being able to reserve a dining spot at the restaurant easily for a larger group for the next night was fabulous.
Next to all the best beaches.

Fantastic property with spacious accommodations and lanai - fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, everything you need for the beach. Great pool and restaurant/bar facilities with gym, putting course, pickle ball and tennis and basketball courts. Close to A Beach, the Hilton public lagoon space, King and Queen's marketplace etc. Hosts were super accommodating and fast to reply to our questions re. early and late check-in/check out.

The condo is lovely, spacious with great views and lots of light. Everything was perfect. We truly appreciated the owners’ care; the condo had everything we needed. Excellent location with easy access to great destinations for beaches, hiking, shopping. Highly recommended.

We rented John’s condo for 10 days as two couples travelling together. It was a wonderful place to stay and perfect for friends or families. The condo was clean and spacious and the location was great; close to all amenities and the ocean. A vehicle is definitely needed but the Ocean Club is only a 7 minute walk with a great restaurant and excellent bar. It is beautiful and a great place to be at sunset. So many extras with this condo…..beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, etc. John the owner was very communicative and so quick to respond with any questions we had. Highly recommend. 5 stars all around!

My daughter and i had a wonderful time at this home. It was perfectly as described and I loved that the 2nd bedroom was very large as well as the 2nd bathroom. Very comfortable setting in a beautiful resort. We also had a 4 month old and appreciated the pack-n-play that was provided. We took advantage of the beach chairs for great sunsets on the beach. In addition, we left some important baby items in the dishwasher which John so graciously mailed to my daughter in Tokyo! THANKS John

A perfect family condo! I can’t say enough amazing things about this place. One of the most unique neighborhoods and truly the perfect set up for a family of four. My husband and I and my mother-in-law and our almost 2 year old enjoyed walking to the ocean club at the end of the block every day. The staff at the ocean club + the food and the drinks were amazing! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The pool was perfect for a toddler with a waiting area. We will definitely be back! It might be helpful to note that a car rental is a must to get to the grocery store and to the beach. Great beach close by in front of the Marriott hotel with free access and great parking.

This unit may be our favorite of the 3 properties we will have visited on our Hawaiian trip. The rate to rent this condo was outstanding for what you get. Currently we are at a larger “luxury” resort for about 4x the price on Kauai and I’m onot sure it’s worth it. This unit had everything we needed… snorkel gear, boogie boards, all kitchen stuff. Thank you John! It was a great adventure!!

Perfect accommodations for our family vacation!
Our family of five loved this condo. The home was well stocked with everything needed to make it a home away from
Home. We especially appreciated the abundance of snorkel gear, beach chairs and toys! The beach club/pool was a short walk away and a favorite spot for us to hang out and eat! John was attentive with all communication and providing helpful tips. We will return for sure!
