Nice property just a short walk from the beach. Property was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our party of 3. Restaurants, shopping, and sites were easy to get to. Our hosts were very communicative and provided great suggestions on where to go and what to do. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location - very short walking distance to a beach access that did not allow cars, so there were very few other people. Quiet neighborhood yet close enough to everything we needed. Clean property with a great grilling area and outdoor shower with hot water, and morning coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was perfect. It was exactly what we were looking for and we can't wait to come back next year!

From the greeting package on we were pleased with our stay!! Harriet stayed in touch if we had any questions. Her info sent us to some great places. The house is just like it looks in the brochure .Very close to shopping and the beach. We will be back..it was a great time!!!

This property is in a fantastic location! One block from the beach! The house was the perfect size for my family of 4. My young kids loved playing in the sand pit and we loved having meals outside. Overall a great place for a nice relaxing vacation.

I really liked chillin. It is a clean, comfortable place to stay. It feels like you are right at home. The wrap around deck was awesome!!! Not too far from the beach. The owner was very courteous and helpful to us. The house is stocked with everything that we needed we really didn’t need to take anything but our sheets and towels. I would definitely stay at chillin again. It is an awesome place to stay!!!!

Hariet was a wonderful host. She kept in contact until we arrived, provided lots of info on things to do and places to visit. The house was close to the beach and was exactly how it was described. From check-in to departure, Hariet graciously communicated everything we needed to know. We had a very relaxing vacation and I hope to book again next year. Thank you Hariet!

We had a great time at Chillin'. Location is great. It's a short walk to the beach and a short drive to most of the area attractions. My kids love the backyard, the toys, and games that were provided for us. We had a great time as a family there. The owner, Hariet, is super nice and gave us a lot of good information about the area. We would definitely stay again.

Nice location in the center of the outer banks. Good launchpad for exploring the coast. Lovely deck and large space downstairs for grilling and chilling. Great coffee shop in easy walking distance.

First time to the Outer Banks. The location was excellent, convenient to the beach and shops. Harriet's home was very clean and comfortable. It had all the conveniences of home. Kitchen was fully stocked with necessary appliances and dishes. We enjoyed our stay very much. Would like to return in the near future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chillin! The owners are very nice and stayed in communication with us throughout the entire process. They even gave us some great tips on things to do while we were in the area. The house is very clean and has almost everything you would need while you are staying there (you just need to bring your own sheets). The beach is literally right around the corner from the house which is great. We especially liked that you can walk to the sound side of the island as well. There is a multi-use path on that side that we used to bike all the way to the Wright Brother's Memorial (about 4 miles). In the evening, we also watched the sunset from that side in a public gazebo that is close to the house. Rent this house. You won't regret it.

We highly recommend this property! It was just my husband and me, so there was a lot of room. It's minutes walk to the beach, close to all conveniences yet a very quiet neighborhood. The house has everything. The furniture is comfy as well as the bed. We loved sitting in the chairs on the wrap around deck. The outside shower was great. Hariet was a dream to work with, great communication, suggestions with local tips and the knowledge that she was just a text away if needed. Chillin' made our first time to the OBX everything we hoped it could be. It's a great place! Thank you Hariet

We booked a Fall vacation this year instead of our usual mid-summer. Our plans were briefly interrupted by the unplanned visit of Hurricane Dorian and the resultant evacuation and closure to visitors of the OBX until the storm blew through. Our hostess kept us well informed of the situation and staged return to the area. Ultimately, while losing a couple days, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time The rental itself was spotless, attractive, well furnished and with a well-equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms equipped with nightstands (As a glasses wearer, it’s good to have a place to park the glasses) The deck wraps around three sides of the house and was furnished with comfy deck chairs. We appreciated the cool breeze and ocean sound in the evenings. Public access to the beach was within a short walk. The neighborhood itself was quiet which may be a reflection of the season While there was some hurricane damage to this northern section of the OBX it appeared to be mostly missing shingles, and broken tree limbs. There was no damage that we could see to the rental. The rental’s location in Kill Devil Hills meant that we were central to many interesting things aside from the ocean including the Wright Brothers National Monument, Jockey’s Ridge (which we climbed and got sandblasted), the village of Duck with its relaxing soundside boardwalk, and the lighthouses of Currituck and Bodie Island. All in all, we can readily recommend this rental.

Our family of 4 (kids ages 6 and 4) had a great time. The kids loved the toys, how easy the street was to bike on and how close it was to the beach. I loved the deck, the beach, and the nearby coffee and ice cream shops. Great spot for a relaxing vacation.

We were a family of toddlers, adults and a teenager and we all thought the rental was great with many amenities. The house is charming and in a great location and came with pretty much everything you can think of in the kitchen, although I would recommend bringing plastic cups if you have young children since it’s a tile floor. The bedrooms were great and you just need to bring your own linens and towels. There were indoor and outdoor toys for the kids to play with, a great outdoor play area and a grill. We appreciated being able to do our own laundry. The house is really cozy with a lot of outdoor seating and a nice deck. We could get to the beach within minutes and we took advantage of that. Also a great location close to everything. The owner is very nice and gave us recommendations on what to do and was easy to contact when we had questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if in the area.

Chillin’ is a tidy beach house that’s close to everything, especially the beach! We particularly enjoyed quiet evenings on the beautiful deck. Our family had a wonderful time here. Hariet was helpful and accessible. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We had the BEST time at Chillin!! Super close to the beach, quiet street, and perfect accommodations! The house had everything we needed for a great beach vacation. Beautiful deck, perfect area under the house for our kids to play (they loved all the toys at Chillin), and comfortable bedrooms. We enjoyed the short walk to the coffee shop one block away (Ashley’s), and pizza delivery from Sal’s (amazing!!). The owners made sure we had a comfortable and memorable stay! We will be back!

The owners of this home are amazing. Everything was perfect for four adults looking for a relaxing beach getaway. We could not have asked for a better rental experience.

We had a great week at this house. From the driveway to the beach access it was a 4 minute walking and that was pulling 2 kids in a wagon. The house was very nice but my favorite part was underneath the house. Lots of shady area and a large sandbox to play in. The outdoor shower was huge, big enough to rinse off several children at once. House is walkable to several restaurants.

We loved our recent week at Chillin' in the OBX! The house was perfect for our family...so close to the beach, so much space to play in the terrace under the house, awesome deck for sunrise and sunset watching, all the comforts of home, etc. Hariet was so terrific in providing so much info/answering questions, as well as sharing so many insider tips for navigating the area and fun spots for toddler fun! We had such an amazing family vacay and had a hard time leaving at the end of the week...the quiet, peaceful, comfortable setting of Chillin' was everything we imagined and more. The perfect spot to relax and enjoy family. The only thing I can't review is the indoor shower...never had to use it thanks to the outdoor shower of tranquility!!! My favorite feature! Thanks for allowing us the use of your terrific rental home, Hariet. We will be back!

So many great things to say about "Chillin". First, the location is perfect. Not too long a walk to the beach and the road is quiet because it is not a cut through street. Second, the house is clean and quaint. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, and Hariet even left us a little welcome bag with various things for the house (paper towels, dish soap, etc.) and magazines to help us navigate the Outer Banks. So glad we found this house and would definitely stay here again.
