We had a wonderful week stay in Spanish Wells. Everything worked. Clean, well equipped, excellent location and helpful, friendly landlords. Highly recommended. Will stay there again.

Small but adequate apartment in a quad plex. Having a golf cart was crucial as this location is too far to walk to anything but the beach. But the beach was amazing! A little more attention could have been taken with the cleaning and for a little bit of investment the place could be very nice. Jamie was good about correcting a problem that surfaced. The place does not have much curb appeal but served the purpose and was comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well but the only TV we could get was Netflix and YouTube. Spanish Wells is an interesting place but can't say we found the locals to be quite as friendly as others had reported. Other than waving when you pass them in the golf cart they mostly did not go out of their way to be friendly. Seem like a sober bunch of people. And a few were just plain rude. Be very careful if having someone make arrangements for you for transportation and so forth. There was a mix-up when someone set up a rental car for us on Eleuthera and we wasted a day and $24 round trip on the ferry. And be mindful that there are two different ferry docs and if you go to the wrong one nobody is going to speak up and help you. It cost us $65 to get back to the airport for that reason. It honestly felt like the ferrry captain and the taxi driver set us up and took advantage of us. Be careful! Also if you're thinking of planning a trip be aware that there is virtually no emergency medical care available. Serious medical condition and you could be hours away from help

Great place to base your island adventures from… the golf cart was a great asset to have, we enjoyed kayaking out to the reefs right off the beach, and enjoyed the proximity to town and the beaches. Also- big thanks to Shannon… the water heater quit working on Friday evening, they were very prompt in answering communication and troubleshooting and then he was there Saturday morning to replace it.

Everything was exactly as described. The golf cart, kayaks, snorkel gear and beach chairs and umbrella were all great additions.

Purpose of trip was business. Property was just as described. Jamie was very accommodating for both our arrival and departure times. The added golf cart as part of the rental package was very helpful and Jamie was at the dock to meet us when we arrived. We would stay here again.

Ok for the cost. Not impressed with Spanish Wells. Residents are nit friendly and welcoming and it is hard to find places to eat

The apartment was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. It would be helped by some sort of booklet with information about (for example) how to work the air conditioner & access to the wifi, as there is no phone. Maybe just a problem for us, since we do not have a cell phone.

Salt Life, and its next door companion apartment Sunny Daze, are two units in a quadplex. They're not so much island-style but modern, well-equipped small apartments with everything you need for a practical, comfortable stay. Ideal for a couples or singles, the value with a golf cart can't be beat. It's on the pleasant residential community of Russell Island, near the bridge, two minutes by golf cart from Spanish Wells' harbourfront. Everything works and is clean. With a very comfortable bed and plenty of wardroom and drawer space, the bedroom has a/c and the breeze flows through the entire unit. The open plan living room and kitchen is well-equipped with full-size, quality appliances. There's no garden or area to sunbathe but you'd rather do that at the beach anyway. Plenty of dining options and a grocery store are within a mile. Spanish Wells is one of the Bahamas' quaint gems. It's crime-free and it's hard to find a friendlier, more hospitable set of folk. With the island's strong work-ethic, the service from the landlord, and, indeed the whole island, was excellent and charming. I didn't want to leave and can't wait to revisit.

Salt Life is a very cozy cottage away from home and provides amenities suitable for both long and short term stays. Jaime is very nice and accommodating.

The Sweetings were very nice and accomodating. The room was very clean and better than we expected. They arranged everything from pick up at the airport to getting a boat for us to use. We highly recommend staying with them.
