The property and house was as avertised. And if fit our needs totally. The home was well appointed and offered many simple comforts that are often overlooked like paper towels, toilet paper, and coffee filters. They owners did a great job making this an easy rental,
We tried to leave the property in impeccable shape with all floors and surfaces cleaned to a shine. The only recommmendation we have is the 2 skillets provided in the kitchen are far beyond useful shape. They are warped, and have teflon coating removed. Please replace these items as it would benefit the owner and renters.

Stayed for 7 days on a fishing trip with two boats and 5 guys. Plenty of room in the home and beautiful view. Host was very easy to work with and contact.

This place was lovely and comfortable. We had a fantastic stay. We especially appreciated everything being stocked and the view. The only thing we were taken back by was that during checkout I realized we were expected to clean and leave the place exactly as we found it in terms of cleanliness even though we're paying a cleaning fee.

We had an amazing stay at this house. It is exactly as the pictures depict - spacious, beautiful view of lake and close to the trails to beach, wonderful wineries, breweries. The nine of us (all adults including 3 elderly grandparents) had plenty of space and the house was well equipped with everything we needed. Melissa was a fantastic host. She was very responsive to all questions and flexible about last minute requests. We would absolutely visit again.

A perfect house for 4 of us. Nice view of the lake, the enclosed porch was great for raining days. The host is very responsive and helpful. The basement has a nice kitchenette and two bedroom and a sitting area, perfect for our friend and her son.
The house has a very week stocked kitchen.

Great location for wine tasting on the Cayuga Wine Trail. Also convenient for Seneca Falls, Tugahannock Falls, Ithaca, etc.

Perfect place for the 4 of us, with the upstairs and downstairs areas for each couple. Plenty of room both inside and outside on the deck for extended family to gather. Beautiful view of lake.

Great location! Beautiful house, very clean, great communication. The only drawback is before you depart you are required to clean the whole bathrooms and sweep and vacuum the house. I would recommend staying here.

We had wonderful time staying at this beautiful location overlooking gorgeous Cayuga Lake. It had a stunning view of the lake, very close to several wineries/breweries and 40 minutes to Frontenac Harbor Marine where we rented a pontoon boat for the day, which was super fun for our adult children and in-laws! Though the property didn’t have lakefront access, it had a nice yard for corn hole and a big deck to enjoy. Plenty of space for 10 adults.
Melissa was very helpful in instructing us how to reset the water pump several times and was always responsive. I would definitely recommend this home!

Lakewood lodge was beautiful, clean, well-stocked, and so much fun! We spent a week as a family of four and then had three adult friends join us for a second week, and there was something for everyone: watching movies with airpopper popcorn, cooking on the outdoor grill, wine- and cider-tasting, eating at the porch's umbrella table, watching a storm on the screen porch, stargazing at night, swimming in the lake (we drove to a close spot for swimming), making ice cream passports to try many of the local creameries, enjoying a huge collection of games, hiking gorge trails, browsing farmer's markets... The location is perfect, the "neighborhood" was quiet, and the hosts were responsive and wonderful. We'll stay here again, for sure!

Perfect for wineries!
Came with extended family, and the house was perfect for our stay- the pictures don't do it justice. The home owners were very responsive when a question arrived, and there were many vineyards within a 15 minute drive!

Family of 9 getaway
The house was in a great location. It was listed as a 4 bedroom, but it actually was a 3 bedroom with a loft.
A clean, large common area.
A cleaning fee was in the rental price, but the owner left a list of things to clean before we checked out. We always leave a house clean. I did not follow the list.

Fantastic weekend with friends
I stayed here with a few of my friends. The house is spacious and clean with a great deck for entertaining. The house does not have lake access, but a lovely view from the main area and some of the bedrooms. The A/C in the living room kept the house quite cool, but a fan may be helpful for anyone sleeping in the loft area in the summer. The house is a short drive from terrific wineries and breweries. Check-in was a breeze. Melissa was a wonderful host. Would definitely stay there again!

Great house & location
Our group spent a long weekend at the house. It’s a great location for anyone who enjoys wine tasting. We loved the deck and the spacious floor plan that allowed for quality time without being on top of each other. It was a little difficult to find the trail to the land trust but worth it when we did. Highly recommend!

Nice place with a couple small issues
We enjoyed our stay and it was a great place for a bigger group, but there were a couple of small issues. First, the listing says there is a grill, but there was no propane in the tank. We brought food to grill but ended up having to make it all in the kitchen instead. Also, the fire alarm wouldn't stop going off, even though there was nothing in the air. The property manager was very friendly though and responded quickly when we needed help finding the house. The house is also in a nice location for visiting wineries along Cayuga lake.

Great Getaway
Beautiful home on Cayuga Lake. Very accessible to wineries nearby and not too far of a drive to those on Seneca Lake. Not too far from hiking destinations in Ithaca and Watkins Glen if you don’t mind a little bit of a drive.

A beautiful stay in a beautiful home!
Melissa was so wonderful to work with. She was communicative in the months leading up to our visit and continued to be accessible during our time in Ovid. The pictures of this home don’t do it justice - it is just magnificent and so well maintained! Our party particularly appreciated the deck furniture where we admired the naturally framed view of the lake. The community was just charming, too. The main town is only a ten minute drive from the house and we were so appreciative of the pleasant folks we met there. I highly recommend Melissa as a host and hope to visit her home again!

Perfect spot for a girls weekend!
We absolutely loved this location! It was even nicer/more spacious than we expected based on the photos. We easily (and comfortably) fit 12 girls. The kitchen was well stocked with all gadgets and cooking accessories which made it easy to make a couple of meals right at the house. Melissa was extremely flexible and accommodating. Many of us had never been to the Finger Lakes, we were blown away by our beautiful and serene surroundings. Starting our Saturday morning with coffee on the back deck over looking the lake was perfect. I would absolutely recommend this space, especially for a larger group! Thanks for helping to make our special weekend complete.

Made great memories!!
We stayed here for a bachelorette party weekend. The house was nice, spacious, and perfectly located for our needs. We took a wine boat tour which was very closely located to the house. And it was about 25 minutes from Ithaca where we had dinner and some nightlife. The house itself is conveniently located right on the strip where many wineries are. Close to the town center where there were eateries. A little peek through the trees at the lake but we spent a whole day on the lake so we didnt really need a large view of it from home. Melissa was very good at responding to messages and helped with tips or info about the area. Our only negative comment would be that the house needs more mirrors! We had too many girls trying to get ready at the same time in the only 3 mirrors! So I'd that's all we can complain about, I would say it was a great experience that we will remember forever!!!

Amazing!
My friends and I stayed at this property and couldn’t have been happier. The property owners were in constant contact with us and answered any questions we had. We absolutely loved having breakfast every morning on the deck. It was so peaceful and had an amazing view of the lake. We were also close to all the wineries around Cayuga lake. I would highly recommend this to property.

Great location for wine trail
Nice house, very clean and big, great view of the lake, perfect location if you plan to visit the local wineries! Very convenient to have a second kitchen and entrance downstairs. Living room and porch are perfect hangout space for a big group. Note that the two lofted beds are right over the living room and kitchen so if any noise is happening in that area you feel right in the action from the loft.

Beautiful Place
Lovely, spacious home. 3 full bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The rooms were all spacious and the back porch was a great way to begin our mornings. The kitchen was fully equipped. The owner came by once to check on us and she lives next door but we felt like we were alone.
Our only complaint, and it’s a minor one, bring your own soap.

Beautiful setting, immaculate house, perfect base for wine tasting in the region and enjoying Seneca Falls and local history. Melissa was easy to communicate with and very nice. We had a great time!

Great birthday weekend!
My family and I stayed at the Lakewood Lodge this weekend, and it was everything we were hoping for and more. The pictures genuinely do not do this house justice. There was plenty of space for everyone, and looking out over the lake in the morning was so nice. I would absolutely recommend coming to this house with a group any time. The owner was very quick to respond any time I had a question when planning our trip, and the house was fully stocked with everything we needed to be able to cook dinner and entertain. Thank you so much - very hopeful we can make this trip happen every couple years!
