This home was perfect for my family. It is spacious and clean; and the views are beautiful! While at this property, there are no other humans in sight!!! We did see a few deer and chipmunks! The back deck is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location is within 20-25 minutes of all the hikes we did throughout the island. We all feel relaxed and refreshed after a week away at this lovely property.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Tree Tops. The house was comfortable, well stocked and clean. We enjoyed exploring the cove trail and the gorgeous sunsets from the back deck. Estimated travel time to key Acadia locations was 15-30 minutes from the house - totally manageable. Definitely take time to explore the Quiet Side of the island which is easily accessible from this location. Would absolutely return in the future!

This place is awesome and the hosts are great! On a quest to visit national parks, we decided on Acadia. This property was conveniently located to all kinds of Arcadia adventures. The house was super clean and well stocked with everything needed for the week’s stay. Lots of space to move around the house, even with six of us in the house. The views are incredible and the walk to the cove was really nice. The large deck was a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and just hang out.
Would definitely recommend it!

This was the perfect size house for our family of six. Lots of room and a big great deck. They aren’t kidding when they called this the quiet side of the island it’s 20 minutes to Bar Harbor or to SW. Harbor or to Acadia. Bar harbor is so congested and parking is such a problem. We did finally find a large parking lot across from the side street café. our favorite restaurants were Beals lobster the Terrace Grill and Side St cafe. Our stay was great. Thank you.

A beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained property with absolutely stunning sunset views. Enjoyed our daily walks to the cove and sunset cocktails on the deck. Lasting memories.

Gorgeous sunsets. Had a mother and baby fox living on the property.......fun to watch. Lots of deer and watched a coyote of the deck one morning. Fun stay

The location is fabulous and the house is very cozy. A downstairs bedroom and bath if anyone has trouble with the stairs and three bedrooms upstairs-one is a wonderful master suite with it's own bath and a sitting room. The other two bedrooms share a bath. Gorgeous views from most of the rooms and a path in the back leading down to a private cove. Definitely plan on going back next year with my family!!

House and view were great. Just as described. Home very cozy and comfortable. Enjoyed having coffee in the morning while looking at a wonderful, calming view. Quiet area. Enjiyed spending the day in Bar Harbor or the park and returning to a quiet area. We hope to revisit one day.

Wonderful place for peace and serenity, beautiful sunsets and easy access to all island trails and locations. During our stay a hurricane blew through the area and communication with the owner was excellent. We have stayed at this rental property for many years because we think it is the best to be if you are looking for rest and relaxation.

This is hands down one of the nicest places we've stayed in Bar Harbor. The home has all the amenities you could want and the location provides privacy and serenity. We will be returning!

House and view were beautiful! Large enough for people to have their own space and great common areas to be together. Location next to Town Hill restaurants was perfect, and quick drive to Bar Harbor or Acadia. Would recommend and would stay again.

I stayed at Jennifer's house for a week with my husband and young adult son. We absolutely loved the property! It was off the beaten track, surrounded by forest with its own private cove that was so much fun to walk to on a short hike. We loved that we were surrounded by such beautiful nature, away from the hubbub, yet no more than 25 to 30 minutes of a drive away from Bar Harbor and other adorable, scenic towns. The home was very comfortable with a tremendous amount of space, extremely well maintained and very clean. Jennifer, the owner, was quick to respond any time I had a question. We would love to stay at this home again on our next visit to the area.

The home was a quiet, spacious home with lovely views and sunsets. The furniture was outdated but adequate. The beds were uncomfortable. This ruined part of the trip as we were tired from poor sleep. The proximity to Bar Harbor was about 15-20 minutes but there were some other local towns and eateries. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, plates, pots and pans. There were no extras or frills.

Tree tops was gorgeous! We loved watching wildlife and fireflies in the meadow below. The house was clean and spacious for our family. My only minor complaint was the sheets being thin and smelling like bleach.

I'm so happy we chose Treetops for our week in Acadia. My husband and I had been to the area 12 years prior and had dreamed of taking our kids once old enough to enjoy and remember the trip. This house provided an amazing home base for the week. We had plenty of space to spread out, the decor is charming New England cottage style, and the views are out of this world. We hope to return to the area and would absolutely book Treetops again.

Manager is very responsive and returns calls promptly
House is Immaculate.
Location is easily accessible to all areas of Acadia and Mount Desert Island: shops, trails, hikes, visitor center, bike rentals, etc.
Very quiet, no traffic noises.
Great views of Blue Hill Bay and magnificent
sunsets.
Comfortable beds, not camp beds.
The freedom from usual rental concerns lends itself to a stress free, relaxing vacation.

We found Treetops to be spotless upon arrival. The house, although quiet and secluded, is within a 15-20 minute ride of anything you might want to do. Only a couple issues, a burnt out fridge bulb and lack of an iron and board were taken care of quickly. Spectacular views of near nightly sunsets from the deck and almost every room in the house. We found Treetops to be a great place for our Acadia family vacation.

A wonderful place to come back to after the hustle and bustle of Acadia and Bar Harbor. Amazing view and sunsets! This home is very quiet and private. The details to cleanliness were appreciated.

We loved this rental!! The views and location were great. Close to everything but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We would stay again. My only recommendation would be to add some pillows for sleeping.

We really loved staying here - what a special place!! It was so amazing to have beautiful views all the time and to watch the sunset. We also enjoyed time on the deck looking at the stars and we saw some shooting stars. We loved the house and property and it was in a great location. Lots of room, very clean and well maintained. The owners are very nice and great with communication. Thank you!!

Best view from any rental house I’ve stayed in
We chose this house for sunset views every night. And did we get them! Aside from one foggy night, sunsets are spectacular. The view from almost every room in the house is gorgeous, overlooking the woods, water and the islands in the distance.
The house is very clean & comfortable: fresh clean sheets for every bed, 3 showers, furnished with lots of books, antique curios and armoires - durable, warmth and coziness - like you’re visiting an old family friend with good taste. Laundry is in the basement and easy to use. The walk to the cove is brisk but worth it. Bring water shoes for when you get to the bottom - The mud is thick on the beach.
Jennifer is extremely responsive to questions via text & made us feel welcome and well taken care of!
The house is on the (very) quiet side of the island which is a nice respite from the bustling of Bar Harbor. Restaurants do close early (by 9, sometimes 8 pm) so plan to do everything on the earlier side, or pick up food and bring it back home.
For activities, we did a 1/2 day bike trip on the carriage trails in Acadia, drove to the top of Cadillac Mountain for (yet another) spectacular sunset, spent the day at Sand Beach (the water is numbingly cold, but the beach is beautiful - wear extra sunscreen, you don’t feel the sun) and had a boat nature tour to see the rugged coastline and seals.
The house is spacious and has enough room for everyone to have privacy but come together when you want. We played Monopoly; tried lobster rolls from almost everywhere (my personal favorite is Downeast lobster pound just over the bridge in Trenton near the airport - (IMO the tastiest lobster rolls & lobster dinners cooked while you wait - go during the day because it does get crowded at night); Blueberry Hill ice cream in Ellsworth; walking around Bar Harbor to spend time in the cute shops and drink a lobster bloody Mary.
There are three TVs, but we only watched very late at night because there was so much to do during day. The house is large enough for everyone to go to their own room and have a nap during the day if they wish.
All in all, everyone was satisfied. We left tired, a little sunburned and with many spectacular photos of sunsets!

Treetops
The property was simply spectacular. Hiking trails in the backyard lead to some amazing views. The back porch view of the house itself was beyond our expectations. The house itself was extremely comfortable and well stocked in all respects.

Unbelievable view and lovely home
The home was very clean and comfortable. We loved the view and found the location generally convenient to everything. The cove is super special, and the view and sunsets are completely amazing! Thanks so much for a great vacation!

Quiet Retreat
The property was just as depicted. It was quiet, clean and spacious. Other than the beds being very firm (think spring mattress without pillow top), there isn’t really any improvements to think of. The path down to the cove was both quiet and beautiful. Easy drive to Bar Harbor (20 min or so to parking near main downtown area).

Words and Picture can not do justice…
The house was a silver lining to the chaos that we experienced during our travel. We had delayed and then a canceled flight, and then finally arriving a day late. The house was a warm welcome and the views were spectacular from almost every room. We had several excursions planned for the week and they were very easy to travel from the house. Even the Walmart in Ellsworth for groceries. In the mornings my husband and I would enjoy coffee and simply glare out the window in astonishment. We would see deer feeding outside as well as wild turkeys. The private path down to the cove was peaceful and relaxing. The house was huge and the pictures do not do it justice. The hostess’ went out of their way and thought of everything you may need while away from your own house. Even games and puzzles for younger kids. We would definitely stay at the house and hope to return very soon. Maine was definitely “the way life should be”. Thank you

Quintessential Maine Escape
The setting is just spectacular - stunning views and tucked away on a private point yet convenient to get to Acadia and all MDI has to offer. The house feels like home the second you walk in the door; truly a charming slice of life in Maine. Hope to make this an annual trip.

A Perfect Stay at Treetops!
We couldn't have asked for a better spot to enjoy the early fall beauty of mount Desert Island. The location is ideal. It is a 10-15 minute drive to any of the island's attractions but the house itself is peaceful seclusion. Waking up to that sparkling view of the bay - from almost every room - is heavenly. The house has all of the amenities - air-conditioned bedrooms, comfy beds, fluffy towels and comforters, a well-equipped kitchen, and lovely recliner chairs for reading from the eclectic book collection. There is a large wraparound deck that is a fabulous spot to watch the sunset and the private cove is a real treat. This house also provides space to spread out with private suites on the main floor and the second floor. The front gathering room is huge with several seating areas and a large table for dinners with a view. All is sparkling clean. We would give it six stars if we could and would happily rent it again! Thank you, Jennifer, for a perfect stay!

Great Place to Stay
We would highly recommend this property. Four couples stayed for a week and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The view off the back porch was breathtaking of the Narrows. The property was about 20 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and convenient to Acadia National Park as well as Ellsworth in the opposite direction. There was a path that was well marked to a private Cove that took about 20 minutes to walk each way that we all enjoyed throughout the week. The stars were brilliant from the property. It had two bedrooms with suites that were especially nice and the kitchen was large and allowed for easy meal prep. We would love to return to this property in the future and can tell a lot of time and thought has been spent on it.

Wonderful Getaway Home
We stayed at TreeTops for 3 weeks in August as a respite from the heat/ humidity of the DC area, and for a vacation from the confinement brought about by COVID. The home is truly a special place. First, the sunsets are in fact spectacular. They were different each evening, and we liked each one more than the last. Second, the view from the deck is amazing. Typically when you have a waterfront home, you see the waterfront directly on the property. In this case, with the location of the home on Indian Point, you have a very wide swath of water in front of you. Mornings on the deck were delightful, and we enjoyed sitting in the cool air at the start of the day with our coffee/tea in hand and gazing at the water. Even on hazy mornings it was wonderful watching the fog lift and seeing the views across the narrows. And third, the location is truly perfect. We have been coming up to Maine since 1985, and Bar Harbor just gets busier and busier. From Tree Tops, we were able to get anywhere within 15-20 minutes - whether up Cadillac Mtn, to SW Harbor for a schooner sail, to NE Harbor for a visit to the gardens, to Bar Harbor, or to the many trails and carriage roads in Acadia. Among the guides provided to us in the house, we enjoyed and relied upon the book providing details of the Carriage Roads throughout the park. The house was sparkling clean, with all the initial supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, dish and hand soaps) provided, so that we could get settled in before going to the grocery store. Truly all we needed was our groceries for cooking and then the replacement supplies so that the next guest would have the same experience we had when welcomed. The kitchen has a good supply of dishes and glasses, and things we needed for cooking. Getting home each evening in time for relaxation on the deck and watching the sunset was fun. We were there with our adult children, and the layout of the house provides space for being apart, given the very private first floor bedroom has a nice sitting area (with room enough for a crib if needed), a sitting area upstairs, and a desk/sitting area on the side of the house. Given work from home for members of our party the house was ideal. The AC in the three bedrooms and downstairs is a plus (and rare), and was useful to us at night and on the very rainy day when the humidity was high. There are also portable fans which we used in the daytime. We brought beach towels which were handy for morning dew and outings.

Private beautiful location
Great views from house and sunsets as advertised.
Liked being on the “quiet” side of the Island but it was easy to get to all activities and to Bar Harbor.
Plenty of room in the house.
House was spotless.
Would note mattresses were very firm.
Overall very positive stay.
