Over all the most inconvenient thing was the limited supply of paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags.
The furniture was not comfortable, especially the furniture in the living room. The neighbors upstairs were constantly up and making a lot of noise during the night. They kept waking us up.
We loved the view and enjoy the close proximity to the pier and the local shops.

It was wonderful to be right on the beach- windy days but we could watch the water etc. room enough for us to be inside when it was colder!! The house has been updated.. furniture is a little worn.. Bring your own blankets for outside on the loungers etc- no extra throw blankets AND there is only salt and pepper in the house! No big deal but i would have been a little more prepared since we cooked all meals in! BBQ worked great! i grew up going to Cayucos, brought my kids here for their growing up years and this is now it's my grandson's place to spend a special holiday with us! we all loved it. Thank you

It was wonderful to be right on the ocean with a million dollar view! Our daughter, son in law and two young grandchildren stayed with us for a week and it was comfortable and spacious for us all.

Nice quiet place on the beach. Clean. Easy to get around town from this location. Comfortable. The washer & dryer on site came in handy. I recommend this home to everyone!

The views from this property cannot be beat! Sitting out on the balcony, we watched whales, dolphins, seals and a sea otter. The home was clean, well furnished and homey. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal. As we were in the downstairs unit, we did occasionally here movement upstairs, but this was never a problem for us. We loved our time here and will definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous waterfront house. Loved the porch where we looked out for hours and watched the Ocean. Everything was very comfortable in the kitchen as well equipped.

The view and proximity to the ocean is unreal, and nestled in the heart of Cayucos - restaurants and shops a just a few blocks away! The place is showing its age (very clean, just older) and staying in the bottom unit, you can really hear the upstairs neighbors. However, if you’re looking for a chill place with few frills, this is your stay. I was impressed with the customer service, the kitchen lights were out when we arrived and the property manager brought by an extension cord for us to plug lamps into and cookies to apologize for the inconvenience. I would definitely stay here again!

Loved the view but the kitchen is lacking in many areas, the windows were dirty and you could hear everything from the unit upstairs. With that said the VACASA staff were great and responsive!

The porch view is lovely and the location makes you feel you have the ocean all to yourself. The house is well equipped but also well used and some things could be updated. Dining table view is awesome as the weather tends to be too windy to eat outside. People in the town are friendly and it's a nice place to relax and recharge.

Potter patter of little feet for a week
The location and view were outstanding but the footsteps, toilet flushing and whining toddlers for a week did not meet our relaxation expectations. Will never stay at this address again.

Relax to the Waves
If you want a peaceful and easy feeling in a small but quant town with nothing but friendly folks, the sweet Cayucos home is the spot. Unreal view from the deck, living room and dining room. Beds were average but cozy and amenities were older but clean and comfortable. The fireplace was a great plus during cool weather. I highly recommend this great stay for relaxation and views, quiet, private and peaceful.

Comfortable & Well Appointed
This is a lovely, well appointed home. The rooms are small and cute and the living area is a bit tight, but also very well arranged. We have a child with Cerebral Palsy, so the narrow space between furniture was cumbersome at first. We moved some things around to make it work for us. One of the twin mattresses in the back room was wildly uncomfortable. Not sure what was up with it. It felt like a blow up mattress. But otherwise the beds were quite comfy. Ample pillows and blankets. The view is gorgeous and proximity to main street was perfect. We walked everywhere we went. The kitchen is large and he dining table accommodated our family and wheelchair! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We loved our time here and would recommend to a friend.

Terrific except carpet, wifi, bathrooms
We love this property. The view is unbeatable. Kitchen is very well stocked with utensils. The manager was very responsive..
There are some negatives. The carpets are filthy giving the house an unclean feeling. Wifi is also nearly unusable. It is non-existent in the front of the house and very very slow in the back. I wish the bathrooms were more
up-to-date.
Overall, the view and location in Cayucos (a wonderful, small charming and friendly town.) beat out our few negatives.

Visiting Cal Poly daughter
This place was perfect! Brought my elderly parents out to visit my daughter at Cal Poly and this was perfect spot because of the lack of hustle and bustle in Cayucos. Just wanted a quiet place to enjoy the view when not out enjoying the sights. Amazing view of the ocean and saw dolphins just about every day. Sad to leave to go back to the snowstorm happening in WI. Highly recommend!

Amazing location!
The unit was very charming, it could use some updating though. New carpet and paint would help. There was a small ant problem we had to deal with daily. The first 2 nights we did not have anyone in the unit upstairs and it was very quiet. It was a little noisy once they showed up. We enjoyed watching the dolphins otters. You couldn’t ask for a better view!

Location, location!
Amazing location! Right on the ocean..watched dolphins, otters, pelicans from the front deck. The unit was in need of carpet replacement and some updated decoration. Otherwise loved our stay!

Needs lots of help! VERY DIRTY!!!!
Beautiful location
Very dirty! Table had food all over it. Kitchen floor had food all over it and was dirty. Master bedroom had food on the throw rugs. After what we paid and Covid I didn’t want to clean up after someone else.
Outside grill was filthy inside and out and only enough propane for 1 time of grilling.
Cable tv didn’t work and WiFi was so spotty that you couldn’t get the Roku to work.
Front burner on stove didn’t work.
Ice maker barley made any ice.
Couldn’t really find anyone to contact. So disappointing. Would not recommend.

Being able to open the door and walk out onto the deck and look, feel and smell the ocean is the best tonic money can buy. This house was just what we needed

Great location!
Everything was great, except the floors were not clean, carpet needs to be replaced . Sign says remove your shoes hard to do when floors look dirty! The location, views and beach access are perfect would definitely rent again!

Beautiful View, Great Location!
It really is a great place mainly because of the view and location, but falls just short of five stars. The view is great, right above the ocean, with beautiful sunsets and sightings of dolphins and otters in the morning. Also, the location is great - well within walking to shopping, restaurants, the pier and the downtown area - we barely used our car. The place is comfortable, although a bit small, and is fairly well appointed (the TV is too small, maybe 24 inches). You do pay a premium price, which is understandable given the location, but it's hard to get past the noise from upstairs. It really depends on how active the upstairs renters are, but just the act of walking around is very noticeable. If we were to return we would definitely stay upstairs.

The view was spectacular, the house was right on the ocean. It was great to hear the waves and watch the tides. Once the half of the duplex above us had people, it was a bit disruptive as there was very little soundproofing between the two floors; otherwise, a great stay.

Wonderful views
This home is in a wonderful location with amazing ocean views and an easy walk to downtown.... But, the interior has become somewhat threadbare, and there some issues. We were unable to get the heater to work, there were no blankets on the beds, making it a little chilly at night. The toaster was broken, and we had a hard time getting the stove burners to light. This rental just needs some updating and replacing of furniture and appliances to make it more comfortable.

Was a little smaller than anticipated , but the view and the location were perfect . So it far made up for it . Would rent again .

We were thrilled w the view/location. The house wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. The carpet is filthy, food on spatula, ashes in fireplace, windows filthy. The renters in upstairs unit were easily heard and made a peaceful nap impossible.
I would not rent this property again.
I will say property manager was very responsive.

Wonderful view, and everything you need
The 200 degree ocean front view, the open expanse of the surrounding hills, no traffic. Great fish and chips in the little town, cooking in the house was easy. A small fire in the fireplace at night amazing.

Amazing location and view.
Amazing location and view. The location, the porch, and the ocean view is spectacular. The place itself is very functional but a little worn. Everything you need is there but the cushioned furniture is a little blown out. When we arrived the heat wasn’t working. We received a quick and friendly response from the property manager but she needed my help to fix the gas heater. Needless to say I am not a gas heater expert nor did I sign up to work on one as part of my vacation! Nevertheless, the fix was quick and she was very friendly and our trip overall was great! I would definitely go back but hope in the interim they fix up the insides a little bit. Even if they don’t it’s well worth it! You just can’t beat the view, the sound of the waves, the porch and the location in general.

Million dollar view
The view and the sound of the crashing waves from this home is unbelievable. Super short walk to dining and downtown. Coastal access is a short four houses down. I also loved that they have absolutely everything that you need in the kitchen. Will definitely book again!

Great location.
Great location and we had a blast. The house is dated which I don’t mind except numerous items didn’t work: ice maker, front door, dish washer and WiFi. I fixed the ice maker on day 3, they had a repair guy fix the dish washer mid-trip but the WiFi was never fixed. The front door would get stuck closed often. They were very responsive to all problems.
