This is our third time at stones throw cottage. We love everything about it, the amenities, the snacks, all the little things that make it perfect. Not to mention the garden, which is tranquil and so private!

We were one mile away from our destination, when we were t-boned by a vehicle… not a great way to start. Even as we were dealing with the aftermath of the accident, Karin and Guy swung into action and helped us find dinner, and get to our play on time. They checked in on us every day, as we alternated between trying to make progress on our insurance claim, and also tried to enjoy Ashland.
Their place is a refuge, but so are they, as people. We can’t thank them enough for all of the help and support!

Very nice small apartment, owners were very accommodating. The only negative comment is: if staying more than two days or more, please have more towels in bath.

Cozy, comfortable, and efficient. Beautiful private garden for relaxing. Convenient to town, plays, and Lithia Park. Hosts were friendly, welcoming, kind, and generous. Hoping to book again next year.

We stayed at the cottage for 2 nights to attend Shakespeare plays and enjoy Ashland. It was a very good experience. It was comfortable, clean and well appointed. the garden was a wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine later on. The bed was comfortable, the A/C was efficient, and parking was off street. I definitely recommend this place and long and it doesn’t interfere with the dates we want to return ;).

The hosts made us feel so at home I almost felt guilty about not helping with the chores. Beautiful property. The unit is cozy. It is thoughtfully and tastefully appointed. Quiet and lovely neighborhood.

It felt like we had everything we needed. There was a refreshing simplicity to the set up. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches on food that was provided. The garden was lovely and the tomatoes were delicious. Many thanks and we look forward to a future stay.

Well-appointed would be an understatement - she anticipated every need! Fully stocked kitchen, beautifully decorated, and the most lovely garden. Host was both accommodating and unobtrusive. Highly recommend.

The location was great just a 15 minute walk to dt and the theater. The interior was beautifully designed and outfitted, very comfortable bed, quiet, and small. The best of all was the garden which we used as our living room. Coffee in the morning when it warmed up, reading and chatting. Really gorgeous and well maintained.

This place is so beautifully decorated and designed. The design of the garden gives you privacy as you sit out enjoying your coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. The bungalow is fully equipped to meet all your vacation needs. The owner greets you with such warmth and overwhelming hospitality. My husband and I are already planning on when we can return. Loved our stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at Stone's Throw. In immaculate condition, practical kitchen area, shower was hot and bed was great. The garden area really made a difference offering an outdoor relaxing and dining area. Very serene atmosphere. Took about 15-20 minutes to walk downtown. Our host was most accommodating. A perfect stay.

This place was amazing! The mini-kitchen had everything you needed to cook some small meals. The shower had great water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. One of my favorites was the beautiful garden area! Plenty of space to sit and relax and enjoy the wonderful sights and smells of the garden. . . so peaceful! I WILL be back!!

The property was appointed with comfortable furnishings and the lighting was very good. We drove to the theatre and found adequate parking early before the performances. We actually enjoyed the dining more than the performances. The description of the property is accurate and it was sparkling clean.

The property is quite nice. There is a modest, but quite adequate kitchen. The bed is very comfortable! There is a large outdoor space right outside of the door, with a separate area enclosed by landscape, for the unit. The area has seating, surrounded by trees and beautiful plantings and herbs.
Overall a really nice place to stay!

I stayed for 2 weeks while working in the area and this bungalow was the perfect quiet retreat to come home to. I especially enjoyed the comfy bed, and the cotton bed linens make all the difference. The garden was lovely and I enjoyed having my coffee outside, and I the birds singing. The bungalow feels very private, even with all the curtains open.

Stone’s Throw Bungalow was a great place to stay when we traveled to Ashland to visit an old friend. Karin and Guy provided so many extra little touches, such as a fresh fruit board and fresh flowers, it made our visit feel special. The place is very clean and well-equipped with kitchen supplies and better-quality linens. Thanks for your thoughtful hospitality!

Wouldn't change anything about our stay at Stone's Throw Bungalow - absolutely everything we needed was available ... and then some. Perfect walking distance to downtown restaurants and theaters. Extremely friendly hosts who helped us get oriented. We were able to enjoy sitting out in the garden as well before the rainy weather came in. Just perfect and would absolutely stay here again on our next Ashland getaway!

My husband and I were extremely comfortable and happy in this lovely bungalow filled with more amenities then we could use in the time we were there. The host, Karin, is extremely caring and did everything to make it a perfect stay for us. We thank her so much. We will try to stay there again!

Perfect for Play Goers!
The cottage was clean and serene. I really appreciated the yummy healthy, thoughtful treats, coffee, and tea provided. The garden is lovely and I enjoyed the friendly feline who hopped up on the arm of the lawn chair for a brief cat chat. Play goers can park and walk to the theaters through a lovely neighborhood. I look forward to returning.

What a magical place! Our host had all the finishing touches including fresh flowers and everything we could possibly need. There was even extra outlets next to the bed and that is difficult to find! Couldn't have been cozier or happier in Stone's Throw bungalow!

Highly Recommend
Lovely neighborhood to walk through to get to the heart of Ashland. It is not right in the middle of the theater / business district of town which suits me just fine. This place is perfect for a single person or couple, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The host takes care of all the details. Our three night stay went by too fast. I hope to return to Ashland again and I will look to return to Stones Throw Bungalow.

A Wonderful Stay in Ashland
Stone’s Throw Bungalow is very cute and cozy. Karin has included all sorts of amenities. There was nothing I could think of that was not provided. The garden is a wonderful treat. I made a point of being there in the afternoons when the sunshine was warm and pleasant and I watched the fall colours as they changed. There was a deer and her faun that were enjoying the neighbourhood, as well. Karin is an excellent host who replies very promptly and goes out of her way to make the stay memorable. I decided not to rent a car and I found Stone’s Throw Bungalow is centrally located and everything I wanted to do was within easy walking distance. I definitely plan to return.

This property is a tiny oasis. The room and the gardens are serene and lovely. Very clean, and well appointed too. We had a great stay!

Stone's Throw is a comfortable, cozy, quiet spot. The temperature reached over 90 the few days we were there, but the very quiet air conditioner and ceiling fan kept the cottage cool. We loved the lush garden right outside our door with a variety of sitting areas where we could read and enjoy nature. And Karin was very helpful, from offering to get us guest passes to the Y, providing recommendations for restaurants and immediately mailing to us an item we left behind.

Garden Retreat
This is a perfectly appointed spot to access all the Ashland has to offer. It's an easy walk to downtown, the plays and Lithia Park or an easy drive to surrounding areas. Karin is a perfect host: there when you need her, but giving you your privacy when you don't. She is thoughtful and helpful which shows in the details of the place like coffee and breakfast provided for our late night arrival. The bed is comfy. Also, she has an amazing green thumb and has created a little retreat in the garden just for visitors. We grilled one night and ate in the garden and it was just lovely. We would highly recommend this spot.

We really enjoyed Karin's Ashland home. Location was great, beautiful neighborhood and streets to walk to downtown.

Hidden Garden Gem
Karin is a delightful host and her place is charming, comfortable and brand new. Set in a quiet neighborhood with a separate entrance and plenty of privacy. She even set up the fire pit for us in her lovely garden. Only a 15 minute walk to the theaters, shops and restaurants. This was our first trip to Ashland but not our last and we plan to stay here again. The organic chocolate mints on our bedstands were a nice touch! And the mattress was excellent. Just perfect.
