We stayed at Villa de Vistas for our family reunion in June of 2024. There were 13 of us and every single person was so impressed with the house. We liked the separate casitas, which gave us a little space, as well as the common areas, where we all gathered on the couches or table. The large kitchen and TV area was great, and you could shut the door and utilize the air conditioning in that wing of the house. I haven't even mentioned San Pancho yet - a 5 minute walk to the beach! I could go on and on - it's an amazing house. Highly recommended!

We could not expect more the house it’s amazing. It’s well situated near the ocean in the jungle. It’s really a big house with a lots of area to chill! Marie help us with so many thing and she was awesome to anwser quickly! WE LOVED IT!!!

We stayed at the Robert’s San Pancho home with friends and two younger children. The home was spacious, well kept and had stunning ocean and sunset views. Marie-Eve, the concierge was delightful to work with and quite helpful. We arranged a chef for several nights and took advantage of the team the Robert’s have put together in San Pancho. Cleaning folks came every other day and were thorough and quite pleasant. I recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the San Pancho area.

We booked the whole Villa de Vistas and stayed there for a few nights with 14 friends. The whole Villa is awesome. Great view and very nice property manager/porperty owner.

The house is even better than the pictures. The most jaw-dropping, unique house I think any of us will ever stay in (we told the children they've peaked :))
We were worried about the weather - it was rainy season and the forecast was for all rain and thunderstorms but the weather was gorgeous.
There were some little hiccups with our stay which were not really problems at all - and Iris always resolved them very quickly.

An extended family of 8 adults and 4 preteens/teens, we spent 12 days at Villa de Vistas in July. While we experienced some issues that were more than "glitches", overall we enjoyed our time in this exceptional property. There were plenty of common areas where everyone could get together, yet each family had their own private space. The artwork and attention to detail are very impressive, everything was well-stocked and clean and the Internet service was terrific. It was quite hot and humid and there were a lot of mosquitos (day and night), but we walked to San Pancho almost every day, sometimes electing to take a cab back to the house. You could always rent a car or a golf cart. It is a very short walk to the clean, uncrowded beach. Unfortunately, during our stay we experiened some things that were a bit more than "glitches". Most of the problems stemmed from the fact that we were there in the summer when daily thunderstorms are the norm and loss of power is common. According to the locals the outages generally last just a few hours, but we had several that lasted quite a long time - almost a full 24 hours in one case and almost that long in another. When the power goes out there is, of course, no refrigeration, AC or fans, but there is also no running water as the pump from the cistern cannot operate. There is, however, plenty of bottled drinking water. Daniel, the gardener and overall problem solver, and Neomy and Josefina, the housekeepers, were very helpful in trying to minimize the impact of our not having electricity or running water, but some help from the house manager would have been appreciated. We had to contact her to ask if there were flashlights (the phone batteries didn't last long) and to get ice for the refrigerators and buckets to carry water from the pool to flush the toilelts. I understand that Bill and Melissa are looking into the possibility of getting a generator and that would be quite nice to have in situations such as we experienced. I want to stress that Bill and Melissa are wonderful owners and did all they could to help, keeping in close contact with us from their home in the States and offerring ways we could get showers and charge our devices. They also kindly offerred us a generous refund. While it was not the vacation we had envisioned, overall we had a good time staying in a special home with spectacular views that is close to both the town and the beach. I would love to return one day, just not in the summer.

Remote San Pancho and Beautiful Villa de Vistas.
The property was an excellent choice for our family of 14, ranging from 7 years to 75 years old. The walk to the beach was easy and the pool on property perfect size and sparkling clean. The Chef we hired was amazing and knew his way around the villa kitchen making everyone comfortable. The Wifii worked well as did the one tv in great room for night time sports. I would recommend it to families as everyone had room to spread out and have their own space. The art work in the house was so unique and beautiful. Villa de Vistas was described well by the owners and we would return in the future if possible.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Melissa and Bill’s stunning house. We can’t say enough about how beautiful this house is - so spacious and comfortable, breathtaking views, lovely pool, and incredible art in every corner of the house. We chose to have meals prepared for us and it added so much to our stay. The food was delicious and we felt so cared for throughout our stay. We hope to find a way to come back to this magical place!

Our stay in San Pancho
Our stay at Villa de Vistas in San Pancho was wonderful. The accommodations were perfect for a large family gathering. The spaciousness, quality of the villa and the magnificent art work throughout were 5 star. The grandchildren spent endless hours in the pool. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets at nigh from the upper deck, as well as the proximity to the beach (although the waves and undertow were too strong for the smaller children). We also enjoyed the unspoiled town of San Pancho - great restaurants and small crowds. We gained greater appreciation after venturing down to an overcrowded and crazy Sayulita. The only suggestion we have is to put bars on the windows in the upstairs living area (adjacent to the kitchen). While there is a warning to keep the windows closed if there are small children, the height of those window made us nervous,

Unbelievable
This place is even more amazing in person! It is huge and very thoughtfully designed with so many private spaces, lovely touches, and opportunities for luxury, relaxing, and gathering. It's far enough from the town that you really feel removed but you can get there very easily. Bill and Melissa, as well as their incredible property manager Iris, are so responsive and helpful and really helped make our stay amazing. Iris and her family cooked incredible meals for us, and she helped us set things up like table and chairs for a party, massages and other things. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Spring Break 2019
Our families had a wonderful time in San Pancho and enjoyed the house immensely. The staff was attentive and helpful at every turn. We did have one issue when the refrigerator stopped cooling and we lost all the fresh fish we caught and other various grocery items but they were able to move another fridge to the main floor the next day.
All in all, I would recommend this property.

Amazing!
Villa De Vistas was hands-down the best rental I have ever experienced. Words and photos do not do the space justice; the true beauty and magic of the homes must been seen and felt to be fully appreciated. The many tasteful and artistic touches throughout the homes are very impressive, as are the spectacular views. Make sure to read the coffee table book about the story of the home. Bill was a wonderful host and communicator from the very beginning. We were an all-female friend group of 11 and rented all three houses. They offered plenty of room for us to be together to laugh and socialize, but any of the multiple decks also offered opportunities for reflection and solitude when needed. Walking down through the garden path to the road that leads to the beach is a real treat. I suggest stopping at La Baba del Diablo, a small Mezcal tasting room with cold bottled mirco-beers on your way. During our stay we arranged for two dinner meals to be prepared for us in the house which I highly recommend. We also had a masseuse and facialist come to the house for some pampering (arranged via Iris, the chef). I look forward to bringing my family back to visit sometime in the future. Best place for multiple families EVER
We have been here many times and can't say enough about how much we enjoy our time. The village is incredible, but you really don't need it. The villa is so spread out and comfortable and FUN that there's no need to go too far. We always enjoy the walk to the beach, the pool, and afternoon relaxation times.
I suggest grabbing a few other families and heading down there. You will NOT regret it!

The home was everything we could want in a luxury place to stay with our two kids. They played in the pool the entire time, then we would drive into town for beach and dinner. It is a good walk into town, so we ended up renting a truck which we needed for exploring anyway. Its worked out well. It really is a dream house. We loved reading about how the house was constructed, and truly was an inspiration for us especially because we are thinking of buying some jungle and creating our own little oasis some day. Perfect Spot
We stayed at this property 5 years ago and had such a fantastic experience, we were thrilled when it was available again this year. The three homes on the property are very well maintained, and tastefully decorated/designed with a great deal of thought and consideration of the location and Mexican cultural tradition. The views from the Casa de Canta are spectacular and we loved being able to walk to the beach or town without having to get into a car. The owners were responsive and wonderful to work with, in addition to the staff who do an amazing job.

Great place for family vacation
Our family of 8 adults and 6 children{17 months to 16 years} couldn't have had a better time. No one could believe the beautiful villa and every day we found something new to admire. The pool was a real hit for all ,and the space gave everyone freedom to do their own thing. The staff very good and helpful in any way they could be!!! Amazing house and town!
The owners send you everything you need to have a perfectly perfect stay in Villa de Vistas. Iris and the whole staff are wonderful. Definitely indulge in at least one meal with Iris and her husband or a breakfast with her father. The town is bustling and full of activities! For families: the beach is really not swimmable for kids or even inexperienced swimmers. The pool is wonderful however!

THIS HOUSE IS ABSOLUTELY UNREAL!
I had the good fortune to stay at La Villa de Vistas in May 2016 with a full house. There were 14 of us and we filled up the entire property (La Villa, El Nido & Casita Celestial) for a destination wedding. The town itself is amazing, and the house is most definitely the cherry on top! Everything about the house was just as described beforehand, except even better! You really can't believe it until you see it, but the intricacies inside are absolutely astounding. The art, the mosaics, the lighting, the decorations, just all of it. The amount of thought, planning and detail that went into the creation of this home is just amazing, and one of the highlights for me was reading through the book that documents it all. The folks that come and clean the home and do grounds-keeping are all very friendly and helpful, and the owners (The Roberts) helped us out massively beforehand by emailing us a very thorough packet of information with TONS of useful info including traveling to and from the airport, renting golf carts, great restaurants, what wildlife you may see, the drinking water situation, and way way more. I would most definitely recommend ANYBODY to stay here, except for these exceptions: it is decently far from the middle of town, so a golf cart is somewhat imperative; and there are tons of stairs, so be prepared to get your exercise in! If you can handle the stairs and want to stay in a FANTASTIC and BEAUTIFUL home with an INCREDIBLE VIEW, then I most definitely recommend it. Cheers!

Amazing home!
This house is every thing it promises, and it is as amazing as other reviewers have described. The pictures and descriptions are accurate and speak for themselves. I will comment on how accommodating, professional, and helpful the owners and staff were in the process of booking the reservation and during our stay. For instance, after arriving, our group of 14 friends rented 4 golf carts to get around San Pancho (I highly recommend this choice, and San Pancho Rentals was great to work with). Due the power needs of charging 4 carts simultaneously, we kept tripping the breaker box. Not only did the staff keep helping us fix this issue, they came out the next day and installed an entirely new electrical outlet to allow us to charge our carts. We had a slight issue with an A/C unit in a bedroom, and they were there 10 minutes later to fix it. I can't say enough wonderful things about how professional, quick, and helpful everyone was during our stay. Our group plans to book this house again, we have told everyone how wonderful our stay was, and I highly, highly recommend this property to any interested parties. If you book this house, be sure to take time to read the wonderful books the owners compiled about the process and philosophy behind building this house; it increases your appreciation for its beauty. The documents the owners sent after booking were also extremely helpful. My non-property related tip would be to book Diva Tours to pick you up from the PV airport, ask them to stop by Mega (a huge grocery store), stock up on all your supplies and food, head to the house, and begin your vacation! The entire experience was amazing, and I genuinely hope to return to this property for more wonderful reunions with friends!

Other reviews say it better than I can, but we heartily agree.
All of the other reviews, with 5 stars all, are superlative and absolutely correct. We have rented a dozen other homes in San Pancho, and this home is by far the most spectacular, well designed, built, furnished and decorated of them all. There are visual treats everywhere you look and everything is of the very highest quality and standard.
We have rented the Casita and the Main House and have slept in every bedroom over the years. They are all great; all have magnificent views of jungle and/or ocean and are wonder-full. I cannot say enough good things about Villa de Vistas.
Disclaimer: Because we also have undeveloped property in town, we have been coming for ten years, and we knew Bill and Melisa since before they started building and got to watch the construction. They have become friends and mentors to our building process, for our casita under construction.
I won't repeat all the other accolades in other reviews, other than to confirm them. This is simply a spectacular property built and owned by extraordinary people.

Wonderful villa.
My family and I (my husband, daughter and son-in-law) stayed at the Casita for 8 days and had a wonderful time. The accommodations were perfect for 2 couples, with a lot of privacy, but a shared kitchen and living area. The pallapa was the highlight: a great place to spend the evening hours, playing cards, talking or just listening to the sounds of the jungle. The owners, Bill and Melissa, arrived while we were there, and it was an pleasure to meet them. I highly recommend this place.

WOW... Exceeds all expectations!
My extended family and I spent a week at Villa De Vistas where we had use of the entire property. Everything you read in the details is true, only words and pictures can't do it justice.
The vegetation surrounding the massive grounds are lush and it is built on a slope overlooking the beach and ocean below. The large villa at the top has 4 levels with three of them having vistas of the ocean and Sayulita across the bay. The grounds, pools and buildings are routinely maintained by loyal staff with loving care. The grounds keeper was a laborer in the construction and is like family to the owners.
The architecture, features, art, decorations and the sheer size are over the top. All the art is from Mexico and plays together in a very pleasing way. We took hundreds of pictures, including a wonderful coffee table book that Bill and Melissa produced which describes site selection, design, construction and furnishing of Villa De Vistas. This place truly is a work of love and vision.
Our party included 9 adults and a 6 month old grandson who was the center of attention. We had plenty of space to gather as a group for dinners or games, while there are maybe a dozen places to get 4 or 5 people together away from everyone else. Privacy is not an issue here.
We rented a massive van from Diva tours to pick us up at PVR, make a Costco run on the way to pick up the keys and deliver us to the door at the big house. We had a wedding anniversary dinner catered by Abigail and it was delicious. She bought the ingredients, prepared the meal, served us, and did the dishes. That was money well spent.
My wife and I plan to come back with 5 other couples next year. It will be a hoot!

A Great Place For A Family Gathering
We rented the whole property for a gathering of our family of 15. We were four families including 8 adults and 7 children. It was a perfect getaway for us. The main house has large gathering areas for meals together and entertainment. Yet each family could escape to their own space as needed. The property is beautiful and well cared for. Each time you look around you notice artwork and details you hadn't seen before. The pool was perfect for our 7 grandchildren. We also loved the quiet pueblo of San Pancho and the beautiful quiet beach. I would highly recommend this for a family gathering.

Fabulous vacation.
We recently stayed on this fabulous property. The main House has breath taking views, the decor throughout the property is beautifully decorated with Mexican art and artifacts. There is extreme attention to detail. San Pancho is charming, the people delightful,weather perfect. a lovely place to visit and an exquisite property.

Best way to get 4-5 families together!
We have been here many times, and the best use of it is for getting multiple families together. The pool is fantastic, the beach is a short walk, and everyone has a blast. There's so much to do and it so relaxing so it's pretty easy just to relax at the Villa and kick back. But the surfing and spear-fishing is too fun to miss!
