Quiet vacation house on forested property in Ouray
Godetevi il meglio della bella Ouray e la natura selvaggia circostante nella nostra casa per le vacanze che si trova entro i confini della città di Ouray, ma si trova su un terreno boscoso che si affaccia sul fiume Uncompahgre. Il fiume e il sentiero fluviale sono accessibili alla fine del nostro vialetto. La piscina termale di Ouray è a 15 minuti a piedi dalla nostra casa lungo il sentiero fluviale. La nostra sala da pranzo si affaccia su Gold Hill dove la neve si scioglie creando una cascata in primavera e all'inizio dell'estate. The property is close to trailheads, the river, hot springs, and Ouray shops, but still feels private and has a view of the mountains surrounding Ouray. It is a great base for exploring the San Juans and we would stay here again.

We all loved this house! It is close to the center of Ouray but in a quiet location with woods behind and a fabulous view from the front yard. The house was so comfortable and very clean as well. We will definitely book this location again on a future trip to Ouray.

Perfect place to stay for our family's trip to Ouray. Very clean, great instructions for checking in and out, and stocked with everything we needed. Will come back!

The location was great and as described: close enough to town but away enough as well. We enjoyed the San Juan mountains and had a great time.
However, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the house...very dusty, floor sticky in some spots, bedding wrinkled when turned down, appearing as if it was slept in and not washed. When I proceeded to wash it, I found the mattress cover to be stained as well as 2 of the pillows...need replacing(?). We also found the bath towels to be dingy, slightly stained, barely folded and appeared to be thrown into the cabinet. Also, the sofa appeared to be pieced together with new fabric seat cushions on a leather sofa, which kept sliding forward and off the frame when we sat on them.
I did communicate these issues with the manager and eventually heard from the owner, who stated if anything needed replacing they would do so and that they would definitely speak to their housekeeper regarding the issues mentioned. I am aware of difficulties managing a VRBO and I was grateful for his reply. I hope that those improvements will be in place for the next rentors as the locations was great, the bed was comfortable and we did overall enjoy the stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house has a few items that need fixing (bedroom heater, closet door) and the cleaning crew did miss some things, but all-in-all, the property is as described. The view from the front yard is amazing and it's an easy walk to town. I would recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in ouray! The home was fantastic! Grill was charcoal which i was not aware of before hand. If it was stated in the listing i missed it. Had to scramble a bit to get to town for the briquettes. One of our friends struggled with the mattress upstairs. Apparently it was a futon mattress and not very comfortable. Other than that, everything was great! Thank you.

This was a gem. There is a garage I didn’t even know was going to be there and a much room and a lovely gas fire. I highly recommend staying here.

Nice, well maintained 3bedroom home with ample room to relax after a day exploring and having fun. Just off Main Street with easy access to shopping and restaurants. We had friends staying in a local trailer park. A full sized shower was great at the end of the day. Our stay was wonderful.

Perfect location for all of the Jeep BOH trails. Nice property with all the amenities you will need. Just like being at home.

We stayed for 8 nights and I will start off with this has been the hottest summer since I have been visiting Ouray. And I know most houses do not have A/C in them but maybe a portable unit or several cheep box fans to put in the windows to bring some cool air in. There were 3 fans and some ceiling fans but did not make much difference. Night times were a little rough and warm. The other was trash, we were told to leave it in the garage and on Wednesdays someone would come to take trash out because of the bears, but the trash didn't get taken out. Not a big issue but the next guest won't have a place to put their trash.
The location to town was excellent, we walked to town to eat dinner, the kids loved walking to the stream to play in it each night. We had deer come real close and also a bear kept visiting us each night so that was exciting. I did have a bit of communication issue with the VRBO app, I asked a question about a kitchen appliance and didn't get a response until after we were already here. I did text the number and got a response but it was different then the response from the VRBO app.
Overall we had a great time and would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to be close to town. We love visiting Ouray, I have been coming to this part of the country for 35 years now. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Friend and I stayed while Jeeping in the San Juans. The house was a perfect base camp for us in terms of location and space. We had everything we needed. We didn't spend much time at the house but wish we did as the property is lovely and view is beautiful! We hope to stay again when we return to Ouray!

first time using VRBO for a stay was pleasantly surprised at the ease and convenience of scheduling reserving and check in The property had all the needs we require was very clean no issues were noted. Next visit to Ray possibly will use the same location again..

Besides the heat not working in the downstairs bedroom, the place was great. The property manager was quick to respond and they had space heaters in the garage. Overall, great place and had a blast ice climbing. Would stay here again.

The location of this property was perfect. Ouray is such a great town. All the people we met were so nice. This property was clean and the division of the two main bedrooms made this house perfect to share with another couple. We had everything we needed to make our stay great. Family vacation to Ouray
This was a great property for our family of 6. Plenty of space, well equipped with bedding and kitchen needs. The kitchen has been updated from what is in the pictures. Neighborhood was quiet and access to a riverwalk is pretty close.

Had a great time around Ouray. This was a nice place to come back to after a day out hiking and exploring. Had some wonderful evening walks on the river trail right across the road.

The location is wonderful. It's located on the back access to Ouray, which was nice. The driveway is on a hill, so in winter make sure you have 4WD or AWD as it's icy. The house definitely needs some love. You can feel a draft under the kitchen cabinets, the molding came off of the downstairs bathroom door when shutting it after we first arrived. We recieved notice that the dishwasher was broken the day prior and they were waiting for repair. Apparently this was the last guest's issue as well as some of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Cleaning was sub par. The extra sheets are just wadded in the closets, not folded, there was a pill under my daughter's bed upstairs, an old brittle towel behind the clawfoot tub, and some trash cans didn't have liners. The garage is full of quite a bit of personal items and the board games are very old. The house does come with some staples and spices however most of these are outdated by a few years. The gas fireplace does a fine job of heating the entire house if you leave the interior doors open. The kitchen was adequate to cook in although more glasses would have been nice. We did find an extra guest, a mouse, and there were no traps to set. The property manager seems unconcerned with responses. Overall it's not a bad place but certainly not worth what you pay nightly.

I m a world traveler and I do travel frequently for vacations across the globe.
I have rented many vacation homes before, but this is for sure one of the best. Location was amazing. It has all the amenities, owner even have coffee and tea plus so many food items and utensils . 3 Beds and 2 bath. Excellent for a family of 5 to 6.
Communication was very easy, owner was always available to guide us on a phone.
I highly recommend this property, thank you so much for making this house remodel for us and future renter, we really enjoyed our Christmas break with the family.
One note - if you are travelling from Texas, make sure you have tire chain. Many time due to icy condition it was little hard to go up. My car is 4WD with Full Snow Control (Infinity 2021 QX 80) but in the night, I do have hard time going up. Once we bought and put chain, it was very easy.
