Staff are superb and Michelin Star restaurant is exceptional.

Ocean View room was on the ground floor with zero view of the ocean!! This needs to be clear when booking - not all Ocean View rooms have an ocean view yet are priced at the same higher rate?! À La Carte food at breakfast is very disappointing - often lukewarm and served on cold plates. Also, can wait for quite some time on it arriving at the table!

Beautiful location, impeccable service, great clean beautiful property. Fantastic Michelin-star restaurant on premise.

The room was a bit small. An additional armchair would have been great.

Breakfast was good. Apart from the yoghurt it was a cheap brand, we would have preferred Greek yoghurt and there were no fresh berries on offer. I would expect a higher standard in a 5 star hotel.

The bar only served orange juice no other selection of juice. the bar food was not enjoyable & tiny portions.

Breakfast was fabulous and I loved the location - tranquil and next to the sea. The staff were wonderful and reception, the concierge and the doormen were super helpful!

Great location and beautiful building and restaurant. The restaurant staff were very well guided and eager to ensure our tasting menu was a success.

The reception staff needed guidance and leadership. We were not greeted officially, and our room seemed to take forever to be prepared. There was no update and we were left waiting for over an hour. There did not seem to be any urgency and the staff seemed unaware and unprepared for receiving the new guests.

Excellent location. Very good breakfast. Enjoyed "Kitchen Seat Experience" but not cheap!

Very lengthy check-in process. Should offer welcome drink and hot towels. Toiletries in bathroom not replaced in three day stay. No iron and ironing board in room. No bath despite one being shown on the website. More water should be supplied in the room. Not enough for two people.

Everything… I have stayed in many different locations. This hotel was quaint, and their staff were incredible.

Rooms and location were fantastic! Most of the staff was capable, service minded and very friendly. We ate the best Bacalao we ever had, and in general the chef is amazing. Great quality and mis-en-place.

One of the managers of the restaurant (breakfast, lunch, dinner) was very unfriendly and did not speak enough English to provide a good experience. He was arrogant and continued to be unfriendly the rest of the service and the next service. For breakfast you have to wait ages if you order an expresso or double expresso as they only have 1 machine for the whole of the hotel. They count on guests taking the normal coffee in the thermos ... The second machine is only for latte, anything that needs to contain milk. There are not enough lounge beds in the spa outside. 4-5 for the whole hotel is not enough. It is also a pity that there is no regular swimmingpool, they could at least open the glass facade between the spa pool (which is nice) and the terrace with the lounge beds.

The main house was incredible! The staff so nice , the food super good .

We are not drinking alcohol , and they give you tickets to have some alcohol on them , we asked to have coffees instead and they said no . We found that really stupid because alcohol is more expensive than a simple late

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, breakfast was also delicious. Enjoyed the spa area. Location was also amazing, right by the beach and of walking distance to pharmacy and other cafes and restaurants.

Staff has serious attitude problems (specifically at the breakfast and bar area) giving us dirty looks and being rude whenever we asked for anything. We did not feel welcome at the hotel and because of their attitude we made more effort to leave the hotel to eat and drink elsewhere. Which was a pity because hotel was so beautiful we wished we enjoyed it more.

We were greeted and given a tour of the property by a very welcoming and knowledgeable receptionist. Each staff member we encountered was warm and helpful, especially the lovely Louisa at breakfast. She was so personable and efficient. We were given a room in the newer wing which is very modern and eclectic.

We had booked this property hoping it would have been a bit more representative of Porto's architectural history (like the main house is). Our room was comfortable albeit a bit on the cramped side. We had lovely turn down service our first night but not our subsequent nights. Also, a special birthday acknowledgement was promised but never arrived.

The entire experience from the food to the amenities to the service. I would recommend to anyone that wants to stay in Porto and avoid the city.

No iron in bedroom.

The people where very friendly and seemed to enjoy their work! The concierge took over every time our car and we received nice recommendations. The food and drinks are excellent, just fantastic! Don´t miss the ham at breakfast - no matter if spanish Pata Negra or a local ham is served, just delicious!!!

We as guest had everything perfect! As the achitecture is of the highest quality, we asked ourselves why there was no attention left to make the life of the serving poeple at breakfast a little easier? The door outside to the terrasse is not automatic and it is very difficult for the service to bring food and beverage and other things outside! Our strong adivice: invest a little money in the automatic door - a swinging one might be easier to install.

The staff was excellent during our stay. The whole place is a jewel. The food is first class and Michelin.
