We enjoyed our stay and the property manger was quick to answer any questions and great to work with.

The home is right on the water and had great access to the lake. The kids enjoyed going out on the water on the various watercraft available. Great outdoor area to hang out.

This cabin was ideal for our family gathering. We had plenty of room for indoor activity as well as outdoor activity. Plenty of bed spaces. All linens and towels were provided. Full kitchen was also a bonus for meal preparations and was fully stocked with all pots, pans, dishes. The extra fridge in the basement/garage was helpful for our large family Being right on the lake was definitely a bonus. Enjoyed a swim in the lake and the breeze off the water was heavenly. The fire pit and wood provided was nice for evening 'smores snacks. Overall a great place and have already reserved our next stay.

We took the youth from our church for a few days get away and this place was the perfect accommodation. The owner was very nice and quick to respond when we needed something. I would definitely stay there again

Nice owners, fair accomadation, not good for elderly or disabled. Too many stairs. Better for a mens group. Owners tried to meet every need. Elevator available but in an adjacent building.

I wanted a vacation that felt like a vacation without all the running around and we certainly found the place to do just that. The kids loved the cabin and choosing where to sleep, so many options. Being on the lake and having a washer and dryer available was so nice to have. The cabin was clean and Richard was so nice to check in to see if we needed anything. This is close enough to our house that the kids wanted to to come back for a long weekend which I am totally on board with. The swimming area was great for our kids, (2) 8 year olds and a 2 1/2 year old. We also had access to use a canoe, kayak and paddle boat which they also provided life jackets for. We used all of them and it was a lot of fun, especially for the kiddos. Plenty of towels for everyone and all we really needed to bring was food. Kitchen was stocked with the dishes, pans and utensils that we needed. There are 2 fire pits, one close to the cabin and one on the lake, we used the one by the lake the most as it had a really nice view. Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable stay! Looking forward to coming back.

Our stay was exactly what we needed. The first day it rained and we enjoyed Cornhole in the garage that had plenty of space to play, a fridge, and a table. The next days we enjoyed the on site beach, kayak, canoe, and paddle boat. The place was complete with everything listed and was perfect for a family get away. The host truly made the stay, he was kind, checked on us, but also gave us our space. I would certainly return.

Stayed here for Fourth of July. Cabin worked perfectly for what we needed. It isn’t 5 star accommodations but you are staying on a lake and it is a perfect lake cabin experience. Owner was very friendly and super helpful with everything. Had a lot of amenities that we were allowed to use such as kayaks, paddle boats, life vests, fire pits and bbq grills. Would stay here again for sure.

We had a great time here over a long weekend! Owners were friendly and accomodating. Plenty of furniture for large get togethers, and plenty of rooms/beds. No complaints from anyone during our stay!

We rented this cabin for our son’s graduation and 18th birthday party combined. We had a blast! Rich and his wife were so sweet and super easy to work with. If you grew up running around the lake at your grandparents, this cabin will bring all of those memories back. Everyone 5-45 had a blast, even in the rain we got. The cabin is stocked, didn’t even need towels! We named the goose and made up stories about his adventures. The flock of pelicans is a must see. This is the place to be if you want to slow down, be with your family, and enjoy some fun in the sun.

Hosts were so accommodating for our family of 15. Providing tables, tents, cooking supplies, boats for our celebration. We like to camp but this was a nice upgrade from our tents.

The hospitality, availability, and communication by the owners was wonderful. We enjoyed the canoe, corn hole game, the swinging bench by the lake, and the grill that were available for our use. There was so much more to do if we had more time. Thank you!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this house. The location was very convenient for a large group from several different areas in the midwest part of the country. The owner is very accommodating, and helpful on anything needed. This place is great for large groups that are looking for a quiet getaway.

Great place to stay if you are a group of hunters. Host was wonderful and extremely accommodating. We will definitely be back, next year.

What a great location, owned by great people. The owners are super friendly and make sure you have every thing that you need plus more. Renovations seemed un-finished, but was still very livable. Perfect place for duck hunters, and big groups of people. Would recommend and would stay again. Thanks Richard for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Lots of rooms and beds. Great for big families or groups. The house provided everything we needed besides food. We loved having a paddle boat , canoe , kayak and many more water toys! Rich and his family were super nice and easy to contact. There was a bit of a bug issue outside due to harvest time for the crops nearby and the time of year The stairs going up will probably need redone soon also. Overall we had a great time and relaxing stay!

Rich and Judy are great hosts. We truly enjoyed our weekend get-a-way. Everything was "as listed" you really only need to bring yourself and food. The added fire pit by the water was a bonus. And the updated swimming area was amazing. We look forward to booking this cabin again next year and will probably continue our Labor Day family tradition with these awesome hosts.

Held a 67th anniversary party for my parents at Big Lake. This rental house was absolutely perfect for our family. Beautiful home with plenty of space. Highly recommend!

Perfect for a large family group that has all ages. The lake is shallow and the little kids loved it, big kids had fun too! Cabin slept us all comfortably and was not somewhere we worried about the kids messing things up. The place was not very clean and only 1 grill really worked. Richard was easy to deal with and really seemed happy that we were all there having fun!

We used this as a retreat for a church youth group. Pros: It certainly sleeps a lot of people, which is exactly what we needed it for. And the air conditioning works great. It was easy to find and close to the lake. This is definitely a man’s retreat and held to a man’s standards. It is quite dirty. We found a lot of trash and even a dirty diaper in the outside area. Some thing that is not made clear in the listing is that one of the bathrooms is actually in the garage. It is not finished and while it suffices as a place to do your business, it was quite dirty. The upstairs was clean enough. The grills were also very dirty. The property is not very well-maintained. The docks have seen better days and the grass needs to be mowed. Some thing else to keep in mind, is that there is no shade on the property. Luckily the neighbors across the street were not using their home and so we ended up spending a lot of time under their big shade trees. The owners were friendly and live on site, so they are there for any questions or concerns. Something else to know is that the lake is very shallow and the water is very murky. We did not realize how shallow it was and some of our girls jumped off the end of the dock and ended up hurting themselves. This place was certainly not luxurious but adequate for our stay.

It was a lovely and relaxing place for a family retreat. We appreciated the use of the sunshades and extra tables for our meals and cards outside and the fire ring for evening s'mores. My brother and wife appreciated borrowing the fishing poles (catch & release) and my niece enjoyed the canoe. Lots of activities are available plus a hammock to lie back and enjoy a book in the shade. AND MOST OF ALL, THE HOST WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATING. THANK YOU, RICHARD.

The kids had a ball fishing and going down the slide in the water and using the lily pad available and the place slept our whole crew which is hard to find at a very reasonable rate. Property owners were very kind and attentive.

Our family had a wonderful time! The house was great and exceeded expectations.

Lots of beds for our big family birthday gathering. Easily accommodated 10 Adults, 4 teens and 2 dogs. Richard and his wife are great folks. They were very easy to work with and even offered to bring us ice cream! Unexpected colder weather, so the fire ring was a big hit. Room for yard games was a plus and kids loved the new frisbee golf! Thanks Richard!!
