Great house, well equipped...loved the fireplace...perfect for kids.
Location was great but the ski schools were far from the house... you had to take 2 lifts and ski all the way across the mountain....if late for ski school you got put in a stragglers class. Loved the boot room!!! Limited cell service which made it difficult to correspond with the management team. No outdoor fire pit that was in the pictures..would have been nice to have while the kids were in the hot tub. Overall we had a great time making memories for life! Thank you for sharing your home!

Great getaway
We had a great visit to Big Sky! Four couples were able to spread out among this beautiful home. Well appointed kitchen and bedrooms. It was a little far from trailheads and restaurants. It would be great during snow season, however.

Don't trust these property managers
While our overall stay at this property was fine, it was way over priced for what we received. The pictures were outdated online, so we paid a premium to have mostly a view of a roof. I've emailed the managers and I think they've updated the photos on the site now. Unfortunately, they refuse to give us a partial refund as requested, blaming our complaint upon smoke, which we didn't have until after about a week's stay there, which was not our complaint. Our complaint was that they had a picture online of no house in front, but beautiful mountains. When we arrived, we viewed mostly a large red roof. The house must have been built in years after, but they never updated the site with new pictures (false advertising). Everyone knows you pay a premium for views. I will be taking this up with VRBO and the Better Business Bureau if I have to, to get a refund. I've never had to do that in over 10 years of using VRBO...every other experience has been exceptional. This was not. The carpet and rugs are filthy and need to be replaced. We found a lego in the bed sheets, so I'm not sure they clean all the beds (our kids didn't bring any legos). The soaps were not filled in the showers. When the battery was low in the battery-operated door lock, nobody came to replace them, even though it was requested and they said they would, so we had to move them from a TV remote. Also, the door was left wide open when we arrived (which we notified them of right away) and another door was left completely unlocked. And the hot tub was not in great condition...the lift was broken, which we notified them of right away. Great house, needs updating. Management is poor. Disappointing.

beautiful living room and dining area. bedrooms were very comfortable with excellent space as were the bathrooms. the location is a little high up the mountain so it takes a bit to get to and from either town center or the base of the resort. the back deck is not quite as scenic as the pictures look, but the spa is high end and still a great place to relax.

Would stay here again!
We were 3 families with kids here for spring skiing. The house made it very convenient to come back for lunch. The ski-out access is via the back of the house. You can put your skis on right outside the mudroom and shuffle to the trail, or you can walk a few steps. In any case it is not strenuous at all. The ski-in can be a bit tricky, but luckily the property has a how-to video that you can watch. Both ski-in and ski-out are appropriate for little kids/beginners. Skiing in does require crossing a road, and by the end of out trip, the snow had melted on the road so we undid our skis there and walked a short distance. Again, nothing strenuous. The large mudroom and boot dryer were life-changing. Not sure we could ever do a ski vacation again without these amenities. House was clean and kitchen well stocked. A few maintenance issues were addressed by the property management company. The only hiccup we had was that the hot tub took closer to 2-3 days to warm up. Property management sent someone to look at it and they did not find anything wrong with it. Other than that, overall an excellent vacation. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful Ski-In//Ski-Out Home!
Robin’s Nest accommodated our ski group of 10 perfectly. The location was a huge hit and the access was perfect for any level of skier. A previous review of this property on March 2016 gave us exact directions how to ski-in/ski-out for the first day. It was so easy to ski back to the house for lunch everyday before heading out for the afternoon and ending the day in the hot tub. The views were amazing! It was a quick drive back to the base to pick up any apres skiiers in our group from Montana Jacks, Westward Social or Scissorbills.

The Perfect Winter Wonderland Experience
The property was everything we had hoped it would be - location was beautiful, the property amenities were perfect for our girls weekend in the mountains, and the staff was very friendly when we called them to ask questions. We loved the accommodations and the kitchen was stocked very well! Only thing to note is that there is a little ditch toward the end of the driveway that our truck got stuck in when backing up (it was covered in snow so we didn't see it)...it may be helpful to mark that off, especially in the winter so it's clearly visible. But that did not ruin our experience - we loved every moment and would gladly return!

Beautiful Mountain Home!
We rented this property in August 2016 as a home base for 13 while going back and forth to Yellowstone. It was a huge house with enough room for everyone and very tastefully decorated. The beds were comfy and the amenities were good enough. There was construction going on in the lot in front of us but they seemed very considerate of our coming and goings. The only thing I would point out is there were no staples in the kitchen (Flour, sugar etc) as in some of the VRBO rentals we have been to, all in all a great time!

Fabulous Base for a 2-family Ski Vacation
Amazing property, even better than the pictures! Large spaces, taseteful furnishings, plenty of linens, well stocked kitchen, TVs all around with DirecTV, gaming console, board games, card table, foosball table, etc., big two car garage, snowshoes, inflatable tube to sled downhill, great deck/hot tub area, mud/ski room with full washer/dryer. There were 10 of us all together (2 Famililes, 4 adults and 6 kids ages 8-17) and could not have had a better place in which to enjoy our ski vacation. Ski out access is literally 1 step off the mud room in a groomed trail that leads down to Pony Express. Ski in access is also easy once you orient yourself on the mountain (Ski down Blue Moon Run and stay on your left hand side as if you were going down to MoonlightLodge/Iron Horse, you will see the first house in the Diamond Hitch development on your right (the one with 2 DirecTV anntennas, make a right turn before that house. Follow the groomed flatish trail down to a fork and stay on your left hand side for the Diamond Hitch Run (the right hand side is the Twin Tunnels run) if you see a Pirate Flag on your right side marking one of the homes you are on the right track. A couple of hundred feet below you will literally come to a place where you "cross the street (Diamond Hitch Road)" there was plenty of snow so you could ski through it. Immediately after crossing the street, make a right before the first trees parallel to the street until the trail makes a left on its own and you will immediately see the mud room on your right). Again once you do it once, its very easy. All in all a fantastic time. Will definetely come back!

Great location for our family celebration! Beautiful home, with all the amenities. What a fantastic Montana experience for family from Texas, Virginia, and Montana. All 9 of us enjoyed our stay in "The Robbins Nest," Big Sky, as well as a day in Yellowstone National Park.

Wonderful Family Time!
We spent 3 days in Big Sky and we had a fabulous time. There were 13 of us and the house was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable and provided a great space for each person. The views are magnificent and we even ran into a moose 50 yds. from the house on the first night! The hot tub was great and the back porch was a fun place to hang out. We definitely felt at home. The only suggestion I have for summer time visitors is to remember bug spray. The mosquitoes were out in full force. This trip provided many terrific memories for our family!

Luxury on the Slopes
The house was perfect for our group of 13. The kitchen was large and well laid out for multiple cooks making enough to feed the hungry crowd. The rooms had comfortable beds and the supplied spa style bathrobes were a nice touch and perfect for trips to the outdoor hot tub. Skiing out was easy, but back in took some map reading skills. This is a mountain issue, not the rental home, but just letting you know. The radiant floor heating system kept every ones toasty. It took a little trial and error to figure out what thermostat controlled which room. The Management company was very responsive to any requests or needs and aimed to make our stay memorable, it was. The views from the rental were gorgeous! It was only a short drive to the new wholefoods market and a few shops. We did our major shopping near the airport before we drop up and I recommend that. The washer and dryer are new and made keeping up with hot tub towels and ski laundry easy. We used the TV to stream music which was nice. The living room was large with lots of seating and worked well for playing group games. The house was everything we wanted and felt like a 5 start hotel. Of course the great meals we cooked didn't hurt. The mountain is big by my east coast standards and never got boring. We had two children under 6 with us and they were able to ski in/out with us so this is a family friendly rental. You will love this home for a large group.

Great House!
We researched all the homes on the mountain and IMHO this one has the best ski access. We stayed opening weekend when 98% of the mountain was closed but could still ski in and out through the front door. Had to walk across the street because there was minimal snow but easy enough even for our little kids. When Moonlight opens (Dec 12th) they groom right upto the back door we're told for even easier access.
The house is much nicer than the pictures look. Good quality linens and comfortable bedding. Kitchen was well appointed. Everything was clean, well maintained and easy to use for our big group.
Big Sky had filled it's void of decent grocery shopping with Roxy's supermarket in town that opened a month earlier. Good coffee and produce. Still can pre-order groceries at Albertsons' in Bozeman and pick up after a late flight or have delivered from The Hungry Moose ahead of time.
Hot tub views of the setting sun on the Spanish Peaks in one direction and straight up Challenger Lift in the other were priceless. Best ski vacation yet and we've stayed at some pretty fancy places. We can't wait for the nest trip.

Memorial Day
Rented this home for a Memorial Day weekend with our three kids and 6 grandkids. The home had plenty of space and was perfect for all of us to be together but simply was not clean. When we walked in it looked good but as we stayed, dirty places just kept coming up. The barbeque and toilets were very dirty. Blinds weren't dusted and under all cushions and the runner on kitchen table were very dirty. I hope that this was because we were there a bit off season. However, for what they charge for cleaning, it definitely needed a deep cleaning. There were also some maintenance issues. So Fantastic
Are you kidding me with this place. My family and I spent a few days here and the place is very nice. Exactly what we were looking for in a Mountain Top Ski In and Ski Out house. The place is set up for comfort with a huge fireplace, and the kitchen is ready to cook anything. I think an underrated perk of staying at Diamond Hitch and this house was how easy ski in and ski out is. We did not have to pack up the truck each day with our ski equipment, instead we just stepped outside. So easy and STRESS FREE.

Easy ski in/out access. Large open concept living room/kitchen area for entertaining. We had 13 people staying at the house very comfortably.

Big Sky Baby
Absolutely one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. Perfect for ski in and ski out. The house is very clean and very well maintained. The mountain offers terrain for all levels and the house offers all the amentities for relaxing after a long day on the slopes.
