What a treat staying in one of the homes Chip and Joanna renovated. The first floor certainly had the Gaine’s stamp on it. The second floor was fine but nothing compared to the first floor. Highly recommend if you are a Fixer Upper fan.

House is as advertised, clean and prepped with general items like toilet paper, spices and cooking oils. Check in and out smooth. Plenty of room for 4 people traveling as a group or multiple couples.

Very nice place to stay. Renovated home with all the necessities. Owners were very pleasant and available if needed. Very pleased with this selection.

If the property owners want to rely on the Fixer Upper connection, they need to make every effort to insure that expectations around a quality experience are met. The first floor main living area is nicely decorated per “Fixer Upper” expectations. Second floor with 3 bedrooms and all bathrooms are original except for paint. Overall, the house is looking a little tired. The cleaning crew clearly needs supervision and/ or inspection. The tile floors on first floor needed a good scrubbing only because walking barefoot (one night) in the house resulted in dirty feet. There was a fishy smell in the kitchen that required flushing the garbage disposal with hot water and soap. No paper towels were provided in the kitchen nor K-cups for the Keurig coffee maker. No instructions were provided on how to use the TV (when to use the cable remote vs the Roku remote). No password provided for Netflix use. We were instructed that under no circumstances should we park on the street, yet there was a vehicle parked in front of the house the entire time we were there. We learned after the fact that the vehicle belonged to the VRBO renters that occupied the adjacent guest cottage. We should have been informed that there were other people at the property. I made this reservation on behalf of friends and it is embarrassing to have to apologize to them for a multitude of small and easily-solvable issues.

Our stay at the German Schmear house was amazing, it was what we thought it would be, very comfortable, close to everything. House was very clean and had lots of room for everybody. Would definitely stay there again. It was just a short drive to silos, restaurants, shopping.

Extremely clean. We used 3 of the beds and all were reported to be very comfortable. Sheets were sooo soft. Communication with owners was spot on. Stay here, if you want, because of the Fixer Upper connection. More so stay here because it is clean and a very comfortable home!

We came to Waco for the Magnolia Experience. We appreciated the flexibility that we had staying in a spacious home that was well furnished.

It was a lovely stay! Represented well on line. I must have missed that there is another guest house rental/converted garage on the property. Would be great for bigger group! Will keep in mind for next girls trip and rent both.

Great stay in Waco! Close to everything. Such a cool property. Crib and pack in play for kids. Lovely back yard. Communication with host was great! Would recommend!

Our experience in this home was five star. The home was clean and fully stocked with anything you could need. We had plenty of soft towels and the beds were so comfortable. This home provided lots of laughter and good memories for us on this trip. We highly recommend this listing because Jeff and Sara have put a lot of thought into making this a comfortable home.

Good experience

We spent 6 fun filled days exploring Waco for Spring Break and celebrating a family birthday. We are fans of Fixer Upper and Magnolia Network shows so it was fun to see all the places (and some faces) we’ve seen on our favorite shows. The German Schmear house is a great location and the owners are the best we’ve ever encountered! And we VRBO a lot. If you love Magnolia like we do or you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Waco, this is a great home to book!

The house was everything we expected it to be! Very clean, just like the pics. Definitely enhanced our girls trip by staying here. We enjoyed the home while watching the fixer upper show that the house was on. Thanks for the experience 😊

We visited Waco for all things Fixer Upper with our two young daughters who love the show. This house was exactly as expected and just like it looked on the show (it was fun to watch that episode while in the house!). Flawless experience all around!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Sherman Schmear house for our girls weekend in Waco! The house was very clean and super comfortable. It was also in a great neighborhood and close to everything we needed or wanted to see. We would definitely stay there again!

My Mom, sister in law and I came to Waco to experience The Silos and were so excited to stay in this Fixer Upper! It was just perfect for our stay and Jeff and Sara were amazing hosts. We had a small issue come up so I sent a message to Jeff and he got back to me immediately and made a plan to fix the issue the same day. I’d definitely stay here again :)

What a wonderful experience it was to stay in this fabulously comfortable home. The beds are so comfortable and the home is charming. We had a mother daughter trip to Waco, and all of us, are Fixer upper fans. The location is convenient to everything and we always felt safe and secure. Jeff, the owner took care of any minor problems we had and was very friendly. I highly recommend this home to anyone that needs the space.

We had one night to stay in Waco to visit The Silos and staying in this beautiful Fixer Upper home was the icing on the cake! It is just as the pictures show! Beautiful, comfortable and fully stocked with everything you could need! It was such a fun experience to watch the renovations while sitting in the home! Would highly recommend to all to experience this home if visiting Waco!

My sister and I loved the property. The photo on line was exactly what the property look like. It was in a quiet neighborhood, and there was guest in the cottage but you never heard them coming and going. It seem like it’s location was perfect it was a short drive to where we went.

House was super cute and comfortable. Felt like home.

We stayed here for a girls trip to Waco. Location was perfect, the house was clean and so beautiful! Nice quiet neighborhood, easy to get in and out of, close to everything you need. Loved all the notes with info and light switches marked, they covered all the small details great, something I wish more people did. The mattresses and bedding was so comfortable, which is very important to me when staying somewhere. The place and owners are wonderful and I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again or recommending it. Thank you Jeff and Sarah, the KC girls loved it and all the great memories we made here and in Waco!

The house was just like on website. Was very clean and well equipped. Very convenient to stores and not far from Baylor University. The only thing that was a little off was the sink in kitchen never got hot water, the master bathroom left sink water trickled out. Maybe a little more explanation on how to use TV. Otherwise it was fabulous! I will totally suggest to others.

We had a great visit to Waco and the German Schmear house. It is located in a great neighborhood with good proximity to all things around Waco. The house was clean upon arrival. We would definitely recommend the house to others.

We so enjoyed our time in the beautiful German Schmear House! The great room is an open and inviting space that can easily accommodate a family get-together. What a fabulous kitchen! The bedrooms are super comfy, and there are plenty of bathrooms. Due to hot weather, we didn’t fully take advantage of the spacious backyard, but it would be perfect for hosting outdoor activities. Jeff and Sara could not have been more accommodating. Thank you! We’d love to come back!
