spacious enough for 8 kids (4-17) and 8 adults to find their own nook. indoor pool was great attraction as was pool table. kitchen was large enough to allow multiple cooks to do their thing simultaneously. house is nestled among woods that makes for relaxing environment...proximity to local amenities and attractions a real plus as well

What an amazing trip! This was the third time we did a neighborhood getaway with our group of five families (10 adults and 9 kids). This house was beyond perfect- there was enough rooms, bathrooms, and beds for everyone. The kitchen is huge and open to the second level so folks cooking can still hangout and be part of the fun. The kids loved the pool table and of course the pool. The adults loved the ability to watch the kids through the large windows so they could watch- but not have to hear all the noise. The hot tub was a hit for everyone- perfect after a day at wisp. Speaking of wisp- this location is perfect- short drive to skiing, tubing or whatever activities you choose to do. The extra icing on the cake was the excellent customer service we received- between the wine and extra firewood at checkin to the quick replies when I emailed with questions or concerns. We are already planning for our trip next year!

We had a wonderful stay at Highland Manor! The upper level offered tons of space for our large family group to gather and play pool, games and chat without being on top of one another. We also enjoyed the indoor pool on the lower level. A highlight was sitting in the hot tub while it snowed around us on our last night. Laurie was a very thoughtful and responsive host!

The house is enormous. The main floor has so many spaces all connected. The family could be all together no matter what everyone was doing. We were cooking, playing games, watching football, building jigsaw puzzles all at the same time in the same room. It was perfect!

The house was all and more than we expected. We had stayed next door, saw this house with the indoor pool and wished we had stayed here. We used all 8 bedrooms and no one felt crowded. There were a few minor issues upon arrival and Laurie, the owner addressed them immediately.

House was clean . Really enjoyed the layout with most of the bedrooms in the basement and the large open area upstairs. House was extremely clean upon arrival. Indoor pool area was a perfect 75 degrees. Excellent house. Would definitly recommend to anyone and would absoluty consider re booking

The house was very spacious and in a wonderful neighborhood. We brought our 5 adult children with their families or significant others. Great space, large bedrooms and baths, pool was fun and plenty to do We loved seeing deer in the back yard and right on the driveway. Laurie was great to work with - very attentive and had wine waiting for us! She also made our stay relaxing with firewood ready to go!

The living space in this house is perfect for large family gatherings. We had our 7 grands, ages 3-8 and 8 adults. The little ones loved the pool, and had a blast on the lower level.
The spacious well equipped kitchen was great for preparing meals. The extra large dining table accommodated us all together which was so nice for dining and games. Lots of seating and gathering areas. Laurie, the owner is super responsive.
Not easy to get our family to all agree on anything, but everyone said this house made for a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.

We recently stayed at this location for a Fall family getaway. The house was everything we expected based on the pictures, description and prior reviews. The check in and check out process was very easy. The property management company and owner were very responsive with any questions or concerns. Great customer service on their part. The great room on the upper level of the house was huge and able to handle lots of people. There are 8 bedrooms with lots of bathrooms and space if you want some privacy. The house is in a great location near the lake, ski resort, restaurants, breweries, places to shop and outdoor activities. We loved the area as it was so beautiful. Definitely a place to go back to.

Great for a large family
We had a large group with multiple families with young kids and had more than enough space. We loved the layout of the house, especially all the master bedrooms and that we could sit together in a large group for meals. The indoor pool was great for the young kids. This property would have been a five except that the outdoor community pool is closed for the season and had we known that before booking we would have went with another house. The state park passes and day access to the beach were nice though.

Went there for my bachelor party. The host was great and responded to emails very quickly. We were able to get early checkin and late checkout. Overall great weekend in a great house!

GREAT HOUSE FOR GROUPS
My family and I take a ski trip every year. This is the 2nd time we've been to Wisp, this house was aswome. The owner was so accommodating and sweet. She truly cared about her guest.
The layout of this house is perfect for multiple families. In fact the best winter home we have rented to date. We never felt divided, the layout was perfect.

Family Winter Vacation Perfection!
Highland Manor was the perfect house for our family vacation that included two families and a total of six children ranging from infant to 8 years old. The open layout let the parents enjoy some space while also being able to keep an eye on all the kids. Not only were there bedrooms to spare, but everyone slept incredibly well. The adults unanimously agreed that these were the best mattresses in a rental we have ever experienced. It is easy to say that the highlight for everyone was the indoor pool. The kids got in it twice a day and wore themselves out, and the parents who weren't on lifeguard duty were able to take a nap or prepare meals uninterrupted. Other standouts: the house was spotless; the property management was stellar - we needed the driveway plowed and they were there within the hour and one drawer of personal items was accidentally left behind and they were found and mailed back to us; lastly the local area had well taken care of playgrounds and fabulous hikes. We all returned from our week in Deep Creek unexpectedly rested with many wonderful memories.

Great Family Trip
We just returned from a 4-day weekend at this beautiful home. We had a family trip with ages ranging from 13 months to 70 years old. Everyone had a great time with plenty to do.
Laurie, the homeowner, was great to work with before, during and after the trip. She answered any questions very quickly and checked with me during our stay to make sure everything was ok. We got A LOT of snow on the day of our departure, and she even arrange a complimentary late checkout.
This was my first time renting on VRBO and I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience.

How was beautifully laid out. The location was great and the pool was great as well. The cleanliness of house was left to be desired. There’s alot of deferred maintenance that needs to be taken care of.

Fantastic for a large group
The house was perfect for our family vacation. Our family of 15 easily fit into the house with plenty of space and everyone had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Everyone could fit at the kitchen table and the kitchen was very large. The indoor pool and hot tub were a big hit. The house was well equipped but it could use some updating and the carpets needed cleaning. Otherwise it was a perfect house for what we needed

Great getaway at Deep Creek Lake
My friends and I rented Laurie's home for a long weekend and had an amazing time! Honestly, the pictures of this home do not do it justice regarding how large and wide open it is. It's huge! The home comfortably slept all 13 of us and there was more than enough room on the main floor for us to hang out. We really enjoyed the indoor pool in heated room and the outdoor hot tub as well. If you're looking for a large home to hang out with friends or family then this is your place!

Wonderful house for families with kids
We had 9 adults and 8 kids (ages 12 and under) in our party, and all of us enjoyed the house immensely. The home has a great layout that is open, but also separate enough that we could send the kids off (usually downstairs) to get some quiet time. We really enjoyed the large kitchen table and all the double appliances in the kitchen — it was so helpful when cooking for a large group. The kids loved, loved, loved the pool, and the grownups appreciated that the pool was big enough for the kids to enjoy but small enough that the grownups didn’t have to get in. We felt comfortable just reading and watching from the pool lounge chairs. The neighborhood around the house is quiet and beautiful, and the yard around the house is also wonderful. The kids liked climbing on the enormous rocks out front. The owner was friendly and communicative and the rental management folks were helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Great getaway!
Laurie was quick to respond and even checked in with us over the weekend. The house was clean and a quick drive to rent boats. We were concerned about the indoor pool with small children but there is a buzzard that goes off if the door isn’t properly unlocked (it’s also not easy for small children to open the door). We loved that feature! We hope to stay here again next year.

Manor in the Highlands
We stayed at Highland Manor over Labor Day weekend, something our friends and I have been doing for years.
The layout of Highland Manor is what we loved the most, the second floor being the kitchen & main living area while most of the other bedrooms were downstairs on the first floor near the pool room. Most bedrooms included a bathroom & had extra pull out beds.
The pool room was childproof alarmed which is an excellent feature, but it was not pointed out to us upon booking.
Overall, the property was cleanly & we had no problems at all checking in.

Deep creek family fun
The house was amazing! 8 adults and 1 toddler with room for more! We especially enjoyed swimming in the evenings with our granddaughter in the enclosed pool. The owner, Laurie, was extremely helpful recommending child fun activities!

This location was amazing, I enjoyed every second of the trip from the time I walk through the door. The property itself is huge. The listing within the description and picture are accurate! The owner Laurie was kind and great, she is understanding when it comes to a situation. If you are visiting Deep Creek for the first time and do not wish to leave the house. This is the place to go, the house have all the amenities you can think of (Indoor Pool, Hotub, Fireplace, Charcoal Grill, and etc.) !

Early thanksgiving for our entire family
We loved the long week-end at this home. It does need some upgrading but it is a rental and we expected some wear and tear but it is a very large home with everything that we needed and our family had a wonderful time and shared wonderful days together which we cannot do in any of our homes as there are so many of us. perfect house for relaxing family reunion
what a wonderful 1st experience with VRBO! laurie and the property management company were so pleasant and easy to communicate with before the actual date of travel, and extremely helpful. when we actually arrived, everyone was amazed at the beautiful architecture and layout of the house itself. the enormous kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dinnerware and perfect for making lunches and dinners for 15 people every day. there was ample seating for all of us to sit together for meals, but there was also the freedom to enjoy company in smaller seating areas. the house overall exuded spaciousness and relaxation due to the ample windows and high ceilings, comfy furniture, and multitude of areas in which individuals or small groups could retreat to if they didn't want to be part of the central action. the few maintenance issues were promptly addressed, and the house was easily central to all the outdoor activities locally available. the original plan had been to house all 4 families at this house, and there would have been plenty of beds for that, but one family decided they needed to stay in another house separately, so that made the sleeping arrangements even more luxurious. my teenage daughter probably was pretty happy she got her own bedroom and bathroom that she didn't have to share with her brother or cousins! the pool table was probably our group's favorite part of the house. lastly, the neighborhood was also beautiful and tranquil and safe feeling- who would have thought that we would have enjoyed the trips to bring trash to the dumpster!

Weekend Getaway with Friends
We had an amazing time!!! We had a party of 10. There was plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing. The people at the office were super nice! The house came equipped with plenty of cookware and dishware. Tons of cabinet and refrigerator space! The pool and hot tub were super cozy. The owner of the house was very responsive and answered any and all questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again!!!

Our annual Happy Holiday Girls Getaway was fabulous! The home was exactly as described. Everyone had plenty of room to relax, relate, release & have a good time. The pool, hot tub & fire pit were a big hit. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed here in 2014 and it is HUGE, looks like a hotel. You have never seen a more open and spectacular open concept home! It does not have a view but is close to deep creek lake. There is something in this house for everyone, I highly recommend it for family reunions. The rental company was super easy to work with and you will enjoy every minute!

Highland manor
We stayed at highland manor with our son for his winter break. It is located near beautiful wisp mountain. The house is huge and well maintained. Laurie, the owner, is available from the time we requested a booking until we checked out. The indoor pool and hot tub are amazing features to the house. The pool table provided hours of fun. We definitely recommend this property.
