Walnut Creek Cabin, precedentemente noto come Rustic Retreat, è una baita isolata su un ruscello privato situato nel cuore della Driftless Area. Really enjoyed our week at the cabin. Big plus that we could bring our dog. Very relaxing, enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The cabin had everything we needed to be comfortable. Beds were comfy. We definitely go back!

We were so excited to find a place for a relaxing and quiet girls weekend that allowed dogs and was in a secluded spot and surrounded by nature. This cabin had all of the wonderful amenities, but had the rustic charm of being in the woods. The hot tub was the added bonus, the fire pit was perfect for smores, the flower beds allowed us to watch the humming birds and butterflies as we drank coffee and we had every meal on the screened in porch. Everything was absolutely perfect, comfortable and clean. The only problem is we wish we would have booked many more nights because we didn't want to leave. My dogs loves running around the property and exploring the creek. We will definitely be coming back!

Just stunning. The pictures do not do this location justice. Every design aspect of the cabin is so well done. And the property grounds are amazing. We absolutely loved it! The most relaxing vacation we have been on.

Serenity at its finest, very beautiful home away from home. It was like being in a very fancy painting, nature and peaceful. Most beautiful place to go to get away from the city life, gain mind clarity. Perfect in every way it ever could be. We will be back again.

Gorgeous private location without being very far off of highway. Cabin and property is well represented by the photographs on Vrbo (July 2024). The outdoor areas are even more attractive than pictured and the plantings kept it full of tons of different birds and wildlife. We were very happy with the rental. The property manager was very friendly and helpful when we spoke to clarify some details and even offered us access to fish a nearby trout stream which we unfortunately weren’t able to take advantage of. I definitely will be recommending this property to others. Only thing that I should mention is that the second run of staircase up to the loft bedroom is very steep like a ship ladder, but without ship ladder style railings. It’s very slippery if wearing socks. It could benefit from secure hand rails for the descent and maybe a topcoat of anti-slip sealant, but for us it was worth the space saved with this design. We were able to teach our 3-year-old to go down on his butt with no issues so it’s not rocket science, but I wouldn’t recommend it for people who may struggle with that sort of thing.

My wife and I came here for a little anniversary vacation. The area around the cabin and the property it's on were beautiful, with birds, birds, birds! The house itself was exactly what we hoped, comfortable with a variety of nice places to be inside and out in the large screened patio, and we had a wonderful few days.

We stayed here over Christmas and had an absolutely amazing time. The cabin is in a beautiful setting with lots of land and privacy. The cabin itself is very cozy and has everything you need. From exploring the property to seeing hawks and deer from the hot tub to having a campfire to touring the Driftless area, we made memories that will last a lifetime. I would highly recommend staying here! Our dog loved the cabin too and didn't want to leave

I recently stayed here with my sister from Texas. We were exploring the Mississippi River area. We both enjoyed the secluded cabin. Sitting by the firepit in the evening, we were treated to the sight of many deer walking through the adjacent fields. Many new memories were made.

The perfect place for rest and relaxation. The cabin was clean when we arrived. The native wildflower landscaping is beautiful. We enjoyed watching hummingbirds and pollinators. A great spot for bird watching. We did outings every day but looked forward to coming back to our home away from home each evening. Overall great experience, and we would stay there again.

SUPER clean, beautiful stay! The pictures don't do it justice. This is glamping to the extreme- washer/dryer, dishwasher, AC, TV. We loved the bon fire pit. It's very secluded also and you are surrounded by nature!

This property is wonderful! Ten acres of peaceful green beauty to enjoy! Everything in the cabin was neat and clean with everything we needed for our stay. Loved the loft with a comfy bed and sunny reading area. The fire pit and screen porch with relaxing hot tub were perfect. Spent a lot of time in the bug free porch watching birds nesting and deer in the field. Very relaxing and private location. Eric was super responsive to questions and suggesting a source for fire wood! We will be back to relax and enjoy the driftless area again!

The cabin was just as beautiful as the photos, a perfect space for two of us. The location was more restful and peaceful than I could have imagined. We were we welcomed by a bubbling creek, bald eagle, great blue heron and fox! Every nook was cozily created with so much care. The kitchen was perfectly stocked. Everything was just perfect. We reached out once to the manager and he responded immediately. It was a wonderful retreat in a beautiful part of the Midwest. Thank you!!

We had a fabulous stay at the cabin! We were able to bring our dog and brought food to make so mostly hung out on the property, enjoyed the hot tub, and had a lovely quiet family vacation! The only thing I would say for those bringing infants - be careful of the stairs leading down from the loft! They are very steep so we opted to just stay on the bottom floor and had plenty of room! Didn’t want to risk carrying the baby up and down in the middle of the night! We had a great time relaxing and watching some of the great movies in the cabin :) thanks for a great stay!

This property was pleasing in every way! Private, stocked with anything you needed, beautifully decorated, awesome hot tub - very relaxing and enjoyable!! Ferryville had a couple of places to eat/drink - the views were stunning! Lansing was not far away and had fun shops and a couple of places to eat/drink as well. Nice people wherever we went. We will definitely check out the other properties available in the future. Thank you!

This is a gem of a spot - even in early March with gray skies and muddy roads, it was so warm and cozy! The house is beautiful and the hot tub is amazing! Would recommend to all! Plus, you can bring your dogs!!

This place is the best! Family trip with my husband, two boys and our dog. This was our third year in a row staying at Walnut Creek Cabin and hope to come back many more! Spent our time sledding, hiking around the creek and property, warming up in the hot tub, building puzzles, watching movies and relaxing in the most gorgeous thoughtfully decorated cabin. Always clean and comfy!

This cabin was so welcoming and relaxing. It was cozy but spacious enough for our family of four. The hot tub and fire ring were enjoyable added features. There were so many thoughtful amenities and little touches that really made the stay special.

This was our second stay at a KPS rental near Ferryville and it was as superb as our first stay at The Pines two years ago. Everything was super clean (inside, the hot tub, the porch, the yard, etc.). Check-in and check-out are supremely easy. Eric does a fantastic job of making sure you have all the information you may need and promptly responding to questions while balancing that wonderfully with his guests’ privacy.
The Walnut Creek cabin completely lived up to and exceeded expectations. If you’re thinking about booking, just go for it - you won’t be disappointed. It feels secluded, cozy, and peaceful. It’s clear the hosts are super thoughtful and they care about the details. Which makes the stay all the more relaxing and sets their rental above the rest. We already can’t wait until we can make a return trip!

We loved our time at the Walnut Creek Cabin! It was beautiful, well equipped with everything you could need and the host, Eric, was wonderful! Amazing amenities, absolutely beautiful location, and super modern interior. We had such a relaxing time and did not want to leave!! Only few gripes were the amount of wasps that kept coming into the screened in porch and the cleanliness/operation of the hot tub - it would have been nice to have instructions since some of the keys have worn off - I ended up googling the manual. But overall amazing place and would highly recommend.

We loved the cabin like most reviewers:) Such a cozy and beautiful atmosphere, with some luxury touches. The property is just spectacular and totally secluded. We had a perfect weekend.
