When you first turn on to Phelps road to get to your cabin you see the scariest, trashiest junkyard to the right , that is quite large and off putting. It’s kinda creepy BUT once you do find your turn to head towards your cabin it’s very secluded and the perfect place for a quiet get away. The cabin didn’t smell the best, and there wasn’t that many dishes to use but some basic ones yes. If you are scared of spiders this might not be the cabin for you because they are everywhere ranging from all different types and sizes. The shower didn’t have a light which was kinda hard to see inside but the hot tub on the back patio made it all worth it. The bed is also horribly uncomfortable but the ac worked well. There’s some cons but the pros outweigh them. Overall pretty good stay and perfect mix of roughing it and being comfortable bc of the access to Walmart for food and a few good restaurants. Will be returning.

4.5 stars. Cabin was small and nice. Hot tub was great. Only complaint is the bed. Very uncomfortable. Couldnt sleep on it. The mattress had a huge sink in point in the middle. Other than that it was good.

Place was great . Clean , private. And then 2 o’clock am Sunday morning it sounded like the guy at end of the road ( junkyards ) was trying to blow up an engine or something??? Lasted till after 4:30 am . Maybe need a noise ordnance for these drunk hillbillies

Decided to spend a couple days at Hocking Hills for my husband's birthday. We were just planning on staying one night but decided to stay two nights. The first cabin we stayed at didn't have any spots available for the next night so we looked somewhere else

I recently stayed at the lovebirds cabin from march 13-16 . I am very unhappy with the stay at the cabin. We discovered that we have bug bites all over ourselves from staying here at the cabin and we believe they are spider bites . We found many spiders crawling on us while sleeping and lots of cob webs in every corner or every room. The cabin was not very clean when we got there . When we arrived the hot tub was 60 degrees and not useable . The fire-pit was all trashed and not cleaned up at all. There was trash and the fire-pit needed all the rocks put back around the ring . Big branches piled up on the pit . The bed was very uncomfortable and causing really bad back pain . Very unsatisfied with the cabin for the price I paid . I’m typically not the Type of person to complain but this cabin is in much need of some help. Also, there is no shower Mat so after you shower you get the floor soaking wet and the wooden floor is starting to rot. Overall bad setup with the curtains as well. Not able to get changed in private with clear curtains.

Can't wait to do it again in warmer weather

The cabin is cute but thats about it.....the bed was caved in, the hot water only held for about 5 minutes, the chemicals in the hot tub were really strong, and the cabin smelt muskey.....we booked for 2 nights and only stayed one.

Property has well water so hot tub is green. Not real inviting

The heater/air conditioner didn't work. We used the fireplace to stay warm. Minimal amount of cookware and towels. The hot tub smelled strongly of chlorine, didn't use. The mattress needs to be replaced. It sags towards the middle, uncomfortable sleeping.

We arrived at 9pm besides cobwebs in every corner and a very dirty ceiling fan, it appeared okay. The next morning it was Thanksgiving and we went out to hike. When we got back and took a shower, our feet were black after walking across the cabin floors. Absolutely disgusting. Then we went to warm up the hot tub we noticed in the daylight the water was green. The chemical guard container was empty. There were cigarette butts on the ground. We didn’t call management as we figured it wasn’t worth disrupting anyone’s holiday over a hottub. Well then we attempt to make dinner and the pots and pans had rust on them, and they didn’t actually have many kitchen supplies, not even a can opener. The next morning we go into the kitchen and step in water, turns out the fridge is leaking. We look under it and there is MOLD EVERYWHERE. Under and behind the fridge. As my fiancé was getting towels for the leak, I went to use the bathroom and when I grabbed the second roll of tp, i saw it was stained yellow on the bottom and dirty. At this point we packed up a day earlier, called management to report everything and left. I doubt I’ll receive a refund for any part of it and I truly wish I could upload the pictures we took of everything because it was just not okay that this place was rented out in it’s condition. Hoping the management team gets on it and no one else has this experience.

Not enough lighting on the front porch to be able to see the keyless entry pad . The descriptions says standard kitchen supplies. Not one spoon. Only a broken can opener. No butter knife. Only a long handeled grill flipper. The underside of the toilet seat was spattered with feces upon entering. Dust bunnies on the bedside tabel and lamp. Appears as if never dusted. Someone elses belongings under the bed. Bent up curtain rods, with only shears. The walls are very dusty. Poor houskeepers. We reported a puddle of water around the refrigerator , and was told to stuff towels around it. The grill is in poor working order.. the fire pit is so filled with ash,our fire was not in a pit. However the Hocking Hills region is absolutely gorgeous. I do have some pictures of bent rods and dirt/dust.

When we arrived water was leaking out of the bathroom, their solution was to put towels down. Hours later water was leaking through the wall into the kitchen. There was dirt and leaves in between the sheets, mold on the bathroom wall, mold and dirt in the frig. No response from the home owner. Do not stay here, we ended up driving home 4 hrs in the middle of the night.

Cute cabin after a bit a trek up a small road. Definitely would stay again!

Exactly what we wanted

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had a wonderful time in the cabin and hot tub. We had a nice surprise upon our arrival seeing the wood that they supplied for a fire! We will be back!

Overall great experience for a three night stay.

Bed was terrible. Bad Oder in cabin. Needed steps off back deck. Felt closterphobic since grounds were narrow with no view at all. Dishes were dirty and not enough silverware. Left a day early.

Overall it was nice.The kitchen chairs need replaced because 1 of them was broke and my husband had to set on our cooler.The chair had troed to be fixed previously. Also need to clean filter on air conditioner...my husband cleaned it because the air wasn't working & it was clogged tight with dust.After that it worked great!

Bed was worn out, sagging in the middle, hot tub dirty, no way to clean. Drive to property overgrown and road almost impassable. Will NEVER waste my money on this place again. Be warned.

The bed was hard and very uncomfortable and so was the loveseat. The bathroom had a really bad odor. Everything else was fine.

Tucked high up in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, hottub outside, remote in the woods, cozy and quaint and an amazing, wonderful stay! Thank you!

Had an amazing time minus the rain.

Booked cabin for two nights. Stayed for a total of seven hours. Upon first arrival, the cabins outside appearance was as advertised. Once entering was immediately hit with the strong sent of “ the devils lettuce” and the feeling of my feet sticking to the floor with every step. We got in the hot tub “ Big Mistake “ it was absolutely filthy and we felt the need to shower immediately after we got out. The outside deck was covered with dog hair as if no one even attempted to run a broom across it for quite a while. We decided to still try to keep a good attitude and give it a go. The bed was not fit for one average size adult let alone two and extremely uncomfortable.We ended up cashing in our chips and going home the same night we checked in and needless to say, we would never stay at their property again and would highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere.HUGE WASTE! The lovebird cabin blows!!!

Was very dusty ,bed was to small for 2 adults (feet hung over bed and im only 5'11") and very uncomfortable, love seat has a piece of wood you set on under over used cushions, ptac unit is filthy, terrible driveway to property alot of potholes and only wide enough for 1 vehicle on a 2 way lane, no television channels , just dvd, very secluded could get away with anything here,(literally) be aware if you decide to stay, bring protection just to have on the safe side.

One lane road to get to property so it was very difficult to maneuver when car coming from opposite direction. The hot tube was ok, did not have a clean smell , not sure when last time it was clean. Bed was tooo small for two adults to sleep in and the foam mattress could not hold out weight. If you have Verizon, good luck trying to get a signal…..
