Pros: Proximity to beach, 2 min walk was great. Beds super comfy. Great outdoor area for kids to run around, loved the outdoor shower and beach toys/chairs were a nice bonus! Kitchen well stocked. We had a few rainy colder days so staying in and watching Netflix on the plush couches was nice. Neka was responsive, Karina checked in on us upon arrival which was courteous. Their recommendation for Tyman Charters was on point. Things to note: on our last day (one of the few days that was beach weather) we wanted to go back to the beach in the afternoon and realized all our beach towels except one had been taken during housekeeping that morning. Not sure why they were removed as they were much needed towels, maybe it was a mistake, but would have been nice to have them. Also, there are luxury villas behind the property with outdoor speakers on the units and a few afternoons when we were hoping to hang out in the peaceful yard, we were met with party music for the afternoon, and into the evening/bedtime one night we could hear the base of the music in our bedrooms (until 11pm). Not exactly tranquil vibes. Also, the landscaper mowing the lawn one of the days just sat in our yard scrolling and watching videos on his phone at full volume for almost 45mins, it was kind of odd, then he got up and left. Overall, I’d recommend this property though, but the villa music for us (although not the property’s fault of course) was a deal breaker for us.

The cottage was perfect for our family, it has a comfortable layout and spacious kitchen. We had everything we needed for cooking meals, relaxing in the living room or on the breezy veranda. The outdoor shower is great. The well maintained grounds are lush and beautiful, and our young kids loved running around when we weren’t at the beach. The beach is just a minute walk away and very easy to get to. The cottage feels very private and quiet. We had a great stay!

The Touchstone Cottage was perfect for us! We had a special Christmas there with our family of four. Neka was wonderful making sure our tree was delivered. Karina was great to work with and gave excellent recommendations. We loved the location, proximity to the beach, and the coziness of the cottage. It rained a few nights, so we stayed in and watched movies on the comfy couches. My daughter and I had massages on the patio listening to the birds and roosters. The beautiful, lush yard helped it feel secluded and private. The outdoor shower was great too! Overall, we would highly recommend this property!

Where to begin. We'll definitely be back. Our stay was perfect, the property was extremely well kept and clean at all times. Honestly it was better in person than the listing portrays. We had a very smooth experience throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. The hosts were friendly and responsive to any questions we had. We took their recommendation on TyMan Charters for our day with Turtles, Pigs, Stingrays and Starfish and Michael-Cycles for our golf car rental. The location is perfect, steps to the beach and close enough to the main part of town and dining. Very close to Fran's Place fry shack (green building on the side of the road) Shout out to Fran! We couldn't believe that everything went so well, it was really paradise.

My husband and 2 boys (age 4 & 6) stayed at touchstone for a week during the fourth of July. It was the best family vacation we have been on! Perfect cottage for all our needs and felt like home! Karina & her husband are so easy to get in touch with and take incredible care of their property! The bedding is high quality and great mattresses! We will be booking another stay in the future! I highly recommend!

We had the best time staying at Touchstone Cottage. We spent 7 days in Harbour Island with our two kids age 6 and 7. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen allowed us to cook meals together, eat breakfast on the porch, walk to the beach twice a day, relax on the hammock and more! This adorable and collected cottage is perfection!!

What a wonderful week we had at the Touchstone Cottage! The property is so beautiful with great landscape and a space for young children to play and explore. My family loved the ease of a vacation home vs. resort, especially this one. The home was just as described in pictures and reviews and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were checked on by both hosts, Karina and David, as well as the house staff, Neka and Clint. The location is in a perfect spot - easy to get to town quickly and the beach is literally a stone’s throw. In addition, we found the town and locals to be so enjoyable. We will be back!

My husband and I have stayed at Touchstone Cottage for the last few years and decided to bring our 4 & 6 year old. They are already asking to go back next year! The cottage provides so many amenities that really make traveling with kids so much easier. Beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, etc were all provided which saved us from having to rent anything. One major plus that we didn't realize until we talked to several other families staying around the island was the ability to have A/C throughout the whole house. Many rentals only have A/C in the bedrooms which makes it a little tough with the heat and humidity. The cottage has A/C throughout the whole house so it is comfortable after a long day on the beach as well as sleeping at night. The property itself is located so close to the beach that we were able to run up for breaks, lunch etc and avoided the inconvenience of packing everything up to travel back to a house closer to town. The yard was a huge plus and our kids spent a lot of time running around, throwing footballs, chasing lizards and roosters, and even made friends with the goats across the street. Another service that we were able to take advantage of was laundry! Traveling with kids also means more dirty clothes but Touchstone offers a laundry service so we were able to wash a lot of our clothes mid stay and didn't have to travel with ocean soaked bathing suits! So incredibly thankful for the little hidden gem of a house!

Everything about this island is beautiful, including this adorable cottage and property. This home has everything needed for a beach vacation. Can't wait to come back and stay longer!

Wonderful stay!

We had the most amazing week at Touchstone Cottage! The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable for us and our two kids. The grounds were beautiful and were being kept up while we were there. The daily housekeeping was a nice surprise. We would love to stay here again!

Touchstone Cottage was absolutely wonderful. It was the perfect location for our stay with our 5, 3 and 1 year old. Karina provides everything you need and gives excellent suggestions for restaurants, things to do, places to shop, etc.

We rented both house and cottage for our family vacation. My parents stayed in the cottage and had a lovely time. Everything was as expected and communication with the property manager went very well. The location is perfection - steps away from the beach and perfectly located to easily get around to restaurants and shops via golf cart. We had a wonderful week - Karina was a gracious host with impeccable taste!

We truly loved our time together as a family in Harbour Island! Karina our host was lovely and met our every need. Felt grateful to be in such a beautiful home surrounded by pink sand, the warm ocean and a wonderful community. The house is truly a 5 out of 5. As a family of three (my husband and 5-year-old daughter) I highly recommend! This trip was exactly what our souls needed from our busy lives. We left rejuvenated and refreshed as a family! Harbour Island did not disappoint. We cannot wait to return!

We recently stayed at the beautiful Touchstone Cottage on Harbour Island and it was everything that was promised! The cottage was the perfect blend of island casual and chic with all the amenities one could ask for. The interior was beautifully decorated with a beachy feel and was comfortable. The real highlight of the cottage, however, was the stunning Pink Sands Beach which was just a stone's throw away. Every day was at least partially spent on the incredible beach. The crystal-clear water was perfect for swimming and the pink sand beach was perfect for beach combing or just lounging around. The cottage was also located close to some great restaurants in town or at some of the hotels. All easily accessible via golf cart. I highly recommend this gorgeous beach cottage. We have been coming to Harbour Island for over 20 years and Touchstone stays true to all the things that make the island such a special place. A big thank you to Karina, Neka, and their team who made our stay extremely enjoyable and stress-free.

Our second stay at the Touchstone Cottage in as many years and it once again exceeded our expectations. The property itself is one of the most serene places we’ve ever been. Lush, green grass with palms providing the perfect amount of shade. Just can’t say enough good things about the way this property is managed. Karina, Neka, and Clint go out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay. It’s hard not to enjoy this place. Harbour Island has so much to offer… beautiful beaches (only steps away), amazing food (The Landing, Arthur’s, and Bluwater Bakery to name a few), and incredible sights (The Lone Tree is one of our favorites). But the highlight for us was a boat trip with Tyman, a recommendation of Karina. And the people of the island are truly unique. It’s one of our favorite places for sure and the Touchstone Cottage is one of the biggest reasons for it!

We had a wonderful stay at Touchstone cottage with our two young kids (6 months and 2.5y). Its just a two minute walk to the beach and they have all of the beach supplies you would need. Karina and Neka helped me organize baby rentals as well so that everything we needed for the baby was already there waiting for us. We will definitely be back!

Picturesque and peaceful grounds and beautiful well equipped home!! Everything you need is less than a 5 minute golf cart ride away. My wife and I have stayed at Touchstone Cottage a few times in the past and this was a repeat stay. The owners couldn't be nicer people. Although there is another rental on this same property-you still feel you are in a very private setting. Harbour Island is a unique place. If you are looking for big beach resort hotels with enormous pools and lots of people, this is not for you. But if you are looking for peace, relaxation and beautiful uncrowded beaches, it doesn't get any better than this. Low key in every way.

We loved touchstone! I wanted a week that felt like a true getaway- quiet, few people, but good restaurants nearby. This checks all the boxes. As other reviewers have mentioned, you feel like you have the beach all to yourself. There were maybe 5-10 other people out on the beach while we were there. The island Wi-Fi can be spotty and didn’t work for a day or two when we were there (let me be clear, this is not a downside for me- I loved it and it forced us to disconnect!) this was the first vacation I’ve had in years where i truly felt rested afterwards. The cottage was perfect for 2 adults. It still felt private even though the house is on the same property, the landscaping is done so you don’t feel like you’re staring at the neighbors when you’re on the porch. Everyone on Harbour island is so friendly, all of the locals were so kind and helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

My family and I spent a week at the cottage this January and it was the best vacation we have ever been on! The location and cottage are perfect… such a sweet place to bring our family! We grilled out some nights which was so much fun! Cia babysat during nap time so we could let the kids rest while we went to lunch or hung out at the beach. Karina was awesome and was always checking in on us. It was a blast, can’t wait to go back!

My family couldn’t have had a better stay for our week on Harbour Island. This dreamy cottage felt like home to my family of 4. Touchstone cottage has everything you need to have a comfortable stay for a week. From the incredible outdoor shower to the cozy linens and towels. If we weren’t playing on the beach, our kids enjoyed playing outside on the lush property the cottage sits on. Not only was the cottage incredible but Karina also made us feel at home. She is an incredible host with the biggest heart, and so helpful in making your stay enjoyable! We are already working on plans to come back!

What a perfect place to stay for a week! It is the cutest most cozy cottage ever! Karina and David are amazing hosts and will help you with anything! We had so much fun playing cards on the porch and cooking wonderful meals in a spacious kitchen that has everything you need. Can’t wait to plan our next trip.

The easiest and most perfect week away to unplug at touchstone cottage. The house was incredibly clean, staff was wonderful and it had literally everything we needed. We originally stalled on this listing as one of the rooms had two twin beds in it, however we just pushed them together and never knew they were twins! Problem solved! I will keep this short however it would be so easy to write a 4 page novel about how perfect the cottage is. Karina, Neka and Clint made everything seamless.

Touchstone Cottage is a slice of heaven! We loved every second of our visit to Harbour Island. The cottage is a 2 minute walk to the beach, located a beautiful piece of property. The entire house is clean, comfortable, and lovely! Karina, Neka, Clint and Reggie are all incredibly welcoming and helpful. We are already looking to book our trip for next year! We LOVED everything about Touchstone Cottage!

The touchstone cottage was a lovely way to experience the island with our family! The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable and felt like little home away from home. We had every amenity that we would have needed. The property felt private and secluded but a close proximity to town. Public beach access was just steps away and much like the property, most days we felt we had the beach to ourselves. Karina was incredibly attentive and make sure we had everything we needed leading up to out trip and checked on while on the island. We highly recommend this little slice of heaven and had a lovely stay!

The property is amazing and could not have worked out better for family (2 adults and a one-year old)! The cottage and landscaping is beautiful, private, and secluded...all while being less than 30 yards from the public beach access. Karina was a fabulous host who also helped us arrange so many extras....a taxi waiting for us upon arrival at he dock, a golf cart waiting for us at the cottage to use around the island all week, a boat day excursion, a babysitter to watch the kid one night, etc. I will definitely stay here again!

We loved our time in the Touchstone Cottage! It’s a great location, just a few steps from a very secluded, beautiful beach. Our friends stayed in Touchstone House and it was so convenient for us. Karina, the house manager, was extremely accommodating and made sure we had a great time. The cleaning crew was thorough and very sweet. We’d love to come back to this paradise.
