New house with great view of Lake McConaughy.
Questa casa è una casa di nuova costruzione con una splendida vista del Lago McConaughy. C'è un bel grande involucro intorno al ponte per il divertimento estivo al di fuori. L'interno ha una bella disposizione aperta e confortevole per tutti i gusti. Risiede in un quartiere tranquillo. Vicino al negozio conveniente e alle rampe di cemento fuori dall'autostrada a circa 1 miglio ad est. Inoltre ha un ristorante e un bar all'interno della stessa suddivisione per mangiare i piaceri.

We stayed last summer and loved it and the kids begged that we would go back so we did and it was great again!

The house itself was as described and fairly clean. This property is not properly described as in the listing on Vrbo. It's listed as "New house with GREAT VIEW of Lake McConaughy. There is no GREAT view of the lake because the lake is dried up in this area and the waterline starts at least 4 miles away. There's RR tracks 100' or so behind the property and trains run all hours of the night although it's hardly noticeable when they go by.
I couldn't find the password to the WiFi so I texted the host to get it but she never did respond. I eventually found the password in the 3 ring binder. We will never stay here again.

Perfect home for a retreat close to lake Mac! Communication with the host was friendly and punctual. I would definitely recommend this home for a stay😁

The most inappropriate behavior I have ever experienced from a VRBO property owner. First of all, about an hour away from arriving at the house, we had received no communication on how to check - in/ get inside. Called owner, no answer, messaged her on app, no answer. Eventually got there and scoped the place out in the dark and found the key sitting in the front door lock (THIS IS A POLICY VIOLATION). Owner responded the next day saying she lost her phone. On our second to last day there I messaged her saying the garbage disposal hadn't been working our entire stay (which wasn't important to us) and now the sink wasn't draining (we were using the strainer thing that catches big food from going down the drain so it wasnt clogging it). Told her it wasnt a problem for the rest of our stay since we were leaving at 11 am the next day. We all fell asleep for a nap and woke up to her walking inside the house WITHOUT PERMISSION and then continued to start screaming at us yelling profanities at us before we had even spoke. Then she tried to fix the sink and let her dad in to try to fix it without asking us if we were okay with him coming inside. She then admitted she had had a little too much vodka (AND SHE DROVE HERE). She eventually left without fixing it (which we didnt care about) and drove off. Overall nice house, clean and good amenities but THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH RENTING A HOUSE. Will never stay here again.

Close to the beach, far on the west end of the lake so check water levels if you want to get down to the beach. Plenty of amenities and quick responses from property manager.

Took my Grandaughter and family for her 15th birthday. Nice home. Great communication. Lake was very low and had to drive quite a way to put our boat in.

My husband surprised me with a 3 night stay at this beautiful cabin for my birthday. We walked in and were instantly impressed with the size, decore, and accommodations! We felt right at home and so cozy and comfortable. It was a memory I will forever cherish!

Had a great time! Beautiful home, great porch (firepit would have been nice to have), drove about 10 minutes to a beach and had a great day on the lake!

We had a good time at this lake house. Had two adults and two teens so the beds/bath were great. The house is super cute and perfect size. Check in and communication were great and easy. Short walk to creek area and great views from the deck which is where we spent our time. If you have a pup you are trying to keep on the deck, bring two gates, as there are two exits off the deck, and no dog run. As everyone says, the water levels are very very low and the lake was fairly frozen over still. We would be interested in checking it out in the summer. Thanks!

This place is very cute, kitchen is large and the view is great. Very nice bright, fresh space. The house sits up high and the views are nice, we saw thousands of migratory birds. The lake is very low, no ones fault, still enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking out to the bluffs and lake. The host was easy to work with and went above and beyond for us. Connie& Linda

We had such a great time on our trip! The property was beautiful, clean, great location and amenities. The hosts were awesome! Very easy to communicate, simple process to check in/out and great value for the property as well. Couldn't have been happier!

Cabin is pretty up to date and a very reasonable price for how nice it was. We had no problems with anything. Plenty of dishes, and cookware to use. I wish we would have went earlier in the year when the water wasn’t so low but that isn’t their fault. Overall, this is a great cabin to rent. Plenty of space to park your boat and trailer in the lot next to it.

The house itself was as described, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, roomy living area, and clean kitchen. However, this listing seriously needs updating on the location and its proximity to the water. We had to drive atleast 10-20 minutes for beach access and to find a marina to rent a boat. Per the residents nearby there has been no water in the area for the last 2 years. Train tracks 200-300 feet from house with trains at all hours of the night. We had fun but would rent elsewhere now that we know.

Everything was great! Perfect place for a family. Just two of us but would’ve easily accommodated 6 people.
Kitchen well stocked w/ everything we needed to cook breakfast/lunch/dinner. Coffee maker & Kurig machine were available.

Very nice place, loved the high ceilings big windows,and wrap around deck. Looking for a spot at the lake for the weekend this place is nice. check in check out process was easy and hassle free. Highly recommend.

More than what we expected
The home was very welcoming, clean and spacious. It has all dishes, utensils and spices in the spacious kitchen. Both bathrooms clean and is a full bathroom. Plenty of room in the living area and plenty of seating. Also has a nice wrap around deck. Definitely will be renting in the future!

Lakehouse on double mainline rail tracks
This is a pretty cabin located just feet away from a double mainline railroad. So you will hear and feel trains all night long. If it rains the ceiling has a pretty sizable leak but it’s only in one spot. This is not the owner’s problem but due to work being done on the dam you can’t even see the lake from the cabin. The double bed is rough for sleeping but we found some solace using the twin beds. The cabin is decorated well and is clean. This location is very remote.

Great house and great host
The house is amazing and the property owner was super sweet! Highly recommend staying there...only thing that was disappointing was the lake being drained by the house but this was no fault of the property owner...our family had a great time and the house was absolute perfect! I am so glad we decided to rent a house instead of camping like we did last year! Would def rent again and again!!

Our stay
We enjoyed our stay. We were upset about no water in the lake at the house. Learned that it is down to irrigation being used for farming, so we were ok with that. Only thing lacking was a mixer & an ironing board.

Wonderful home!
This home is updated with plenty of room! Pictures did not do it justice! The stairs were no problem at all. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Dirty
The microwave was dirty when we arrived. There was dirt and dust throughout the whole house on the baseboards, washing/drying machines and on the shelf above the washer and dryer.
By looking at the front door from the inside, it was apparent a dog lives there. Two members of our party have allergies to dogs and had a hard time breathing. This would have been nice to know prior to booking this place.
The smoke detectors were not on the base and in odd places in the bedrooms. We weren't sure they were even working.
The kitchen needs bar stools at the island and the bedrooms need blackout curtains.
Won't rent this place again!

Beautiful house in a super quiet area. Very close walking distance to the lake! Our family had a wonderful time staying here.

Overall the experience was good. Very noticeable though that house keeper hand not been in, in a while. Or doesn’t pay attention to detail, or maybe in general doesn’t clean well. There was mud all over the mat to place shoes. Crusty food on the table, something spilled all over the arm of the couch. This was just in the main room.
Bath rooms had visible soap scum on shower walls, dust all over the towel storage. I could go on but I think the point is made. Except these small details everything else was on point.

Very nice Lake McConaughy getaway
The property was very comfortable. The house had all the amenities to relax and make meals vs going out to eat. The only downside is the train that runs next to the house day and night. Communication with the property manager was friendly and instructions were clear and easy. We would stay there again!
