This little spot was so wonderful for a slice of Maine. Boothbay is wonderful to stroll around with friendly people. The view from the house is like a Norman Rockwell painting. So relaxing and so beautiful. We loved it.

This was a lovely getaway and we hope to return next year! The view is amazing and the deck is the icing on the cake.
Good to know:
Wifi and cell service are spotty. You'll want to bring your own water for cooking/drinking.

The view of the harbor is always changing, wildlife, tides, boats. I can (and have) spent hours viewing from the living room and upper deck.

Gorgeous view to wake up to and end the afternoon with. We sat and watched the tide come in and out. They had games for my kids to play and everything you need in the kitchen. The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean. We will definitely be back if we are in the area!

My family and I stayed here for 5 days in August. We had a wonderful time. The view is absolutely amazing! The kitchen was well equipped and the house was clean. It was quiet and peaceful and short drive into Boothbay Harbor. There is a fantastic library at the end of the rose which was great for our toddler and even a Alpaca farm at the end of the road. I would definitely stay here again. Cell service is spotty but house has Wi-Fi. Be aware that the water has a rust color to it. It’s jarring when you first see it. Toilets didn’t look clean - but they are.

We loved a lot of things about this home. Our only negative comment is about the ants. They were everywhere in the kitchen and required us to store all foodstuffs in the refrigerator or microwave. One other note, the “fees” for this home were almost equal to the rental cost. That’s NUTS.

We just got back from spending a weekend in Newagen and had an amazing time. This house is situated right on the water and has breathtaking views from both the living room area and the upper deck. The home is nicely appointed, clean and a short distance from downtown Boothbay Harbor where you can explore lots of shops and restaurants while taking in the views. We're already looking forward to our next trip up!

The view at this house is spectacular. This is our second year here and my grandsons first trip to Maine. He loved collecting sea glass and climbing the rocks with his Daddy. Thank you for a beautiful year!

I stayed here for a 3 day weekend with my father, husband, and 2 year old daughter. It was the perfect space to take your mind off the busy every day life. The place is clean, cozy, and has everything you need. The views are stunning from the living room to the rooftop. We will definitely be back!

Nice house with great view
The house was clean and view is outstanding. Enjoyed our stay. All the amenities(bedding, linens, etc) are old and desperately need replaced.

Filthy house, not worth the view
House was filthy at check in. Visibly dirty floors with large debris, hair, and food crumbs. The panoramic windows were covered in hand marks and smudges. The stovetop was covered in grease, dust, and food crumbs. Coffee maker was so bad we had to sterilize it with vinegar. All table surfaces were dirty. Bathroom floors, countertops, and showers had dirt and hair throughout. Showers were dirty in addition to being hard water stained. Washer and dryer doors did not open or close properly. We spent as little time in the house as possible as it was so disgusting. I’ve been vacationing in the area for 15 years and am highly disappointed. We felt physically dirty when departing the property.

Wonderful harbor views
Walking into this house is like stepping onto a boat. Super comfortable, well stocked home with very reliable WiFi and unbeatable view of harbor. Sulfury water not untypical of Maine homes but good to be aware of. Would definitely return.

Stunning Maine Coastal Views
What a wonderful week spent at this rustic oceanfront home! The wide winter views from the living and dining rooms are spectacular on sunny and rainy days. The 2nd floor deck has million dollar views. Spent hours sipping coffee, reading good books and watching the tide come in and go out. Lucky having a fun moon shining over the nearby lighthouse - priceless. 1 bedroom/1 bath on 1st floor. 2 bedrooms and bath + sun deck on 2nd floor - narrow, steep stairs to consider for those with mobility concerns. All the conveniences here - internet, cable, full kitchen. 15 minutes from Boothbay Harbor restaurants. 100% would rent again - this stay reminded me why I love Maine!

Amazing views!
This house was absolutely amazing! The views were spectacular! We loved watched the boats and tide coming in and going out. While there are neighbors around you, it feels very private as look out the the giant windows along the back of the house. We also enjoyed the upper deck. We would sit up there at night....listening to the tide come in, watching the light on the lighthouse and listening to the bouy chime! So relaxing!

Boothbay Harbor area
This was a great house on the water with awesome views. The upstairs deck would have been used more if the weather had cooperated. Comfy beds and a well-stocked kitchen added to our enjoyment. If I were to vacation in this area again, I'd consider staying here.

Beautiful Scenery at a very nice clean home!
The location couldn't be better, wall to wall windows with a rooftop deck! Even in early may we spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying the home. A 15 minute ride to Boothbay was amazing. We would love to stay here again!

Last week of August
we stayed the past week and it was great. We did several hiking trails in the area, antique shopping, and enjoyed East Boothbay. We had a minor issue the first and resolved it was a TV issue. Otherwise great place to stay!!

Great views, great birdwatching, great place to relax
First the pros:
This house is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. We loved the views, the glider chairs and the deck. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Close enough to be an easy drive into town, but secluded and quiet. We also had great starry nights and amazing views of the skies.
The cons:
1) when we arrived there were ants all over the dining table. We sprayed some raid and never had the issue again over the course of the two weeks. However, with another review mentioning this issue, it might be something to keep in mind.
2) deck furniture is wet i. The morning with dew and takes a while to dry- something to note.
3) the house could use a fire pit, some Adirondack chairs and a grill. Other homes in the are had that stuff and it would make a world of difference.
4) There were all kinds of leftover oils and spices and what not in the kitchen- hard to know how long any of that stuff had been there. In general the owners stuff was not locked away but strewn throughout the house, unlike I have ever seen in other rentals. It did not bother us, but is something to note.

Fabulous View, Charming House
Located at the very tip of Southport Island, in Newagen, this renovated older home takes full advantage of wonderful views of the ocean, inlet and sunsets. A 10 min walk to a public dock adds to the charm. Quiet but not secluded. Easy to get to downtown Boothbay Harbor and the rest of the coastline. Deck in the photos is upstairs, accessible from both upstairs bedrooms. Second bath is downstairs, along with another bedroom (trundle bed). Very nice kitchen, newer appliances, and we loved having Alexa to find us good listening music while we watched the sunset.

Lovely
What a great spot there on the bluff. We didn’t spend very much time in the home, but it seemed to have everything you would need. I loved the “glider” chairs where one could sit all day and watch the tide roll in. Wish we had more time there!
