The elevator and golf cart were an added bonus.

Our family, a group of 8 adults, loved the location, the separate apartment, the golf cart, and the nice outdoor shower. Some of us had a rather difficult time sleeping on the old mattresses with noisy plastic covers, the cleanliness of the house was not impressive, and we would have liked a little larger table that we could all fit around more easily, but overall, it was a great house for the price. The house host was very responsive and helped us immediately with questions. We also appreciated that the house was stocked with many kitchen and cleaning essentials.

We love this area of Oak Island. The walk to the beach access is a straight shot and short walk. The golf cart is a life saver especially if you have a small child or children. The bikes for adults and children are a plus. The garage is huge and perfect for gatherings. Had a problem after check in but that was resolved immediately. Communication with owners is spot on. The cleaning could stand to be better. It’s an older house and it’s humid on the island so you have the old smell downstairs. All the bedrooms are large. We enjoyed our stay at LegaSea.

We enjoyed our stay again this year at LegaSea! The house is great with the use of golf cart, kid toys, stroller and a stocked kitchen. We will be back next year to make more memories with our family.😎

We really enjoyed ourselves. The property and house were clean and inviting. The location was great with pleasant neighbors and shop owners. The usefulness of the golf cart couldn’t be praised enough! The only problem I had was with the tv and that was my ignorance or lack of electronic knowledge. The owners were pleasant and easy to communicate with promptly. All three families that went had a wonderful time and would stay here anytime. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Size was probably the only asset, it was in need of a cleaning, it felt as if others had just walked out. Extremely outdated to the point of being run down. Since my husband sold his beach house a few years ago we rent each year this was our first disappointment. I'm not trying to be critical but hopefully it will help

This was the perfect place for us. Basement garage was perfect for the guys to work on their fishing gear and storage. Home was spacious, clean and comfy. Golf cart was a life saver. Elevator made life alot easier with an elderly father in law.

We had an amazing time renting this property. We had a family get-together and everything went well. The AC broke at one point, and the owner was extremely responsive and had a repairman there in an hour. We will look forward to staying again

We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation at Legasea. Shelby answered all of my questions promptly before our trip. The property met all of family’s needs. This was the first time I had rented a house and the process was very smooth. We also enjoyed many of the Oak Island attractions.😎

House was well stocked for cooking. The two things that we noted - there was a TON of open food left in the cabinets and pantry, which was not to our liking at all. The downstairs was HOT when we arrived and definitely not cleaned as well as upstairs.

The size was perfect. The house really needs a detail cleaning. The furniture is stained and lots of “stuff” under the cushions. The apartment was good but concerning that two dehumidifiers had to be in use. They were very loud so I turned off at night. In the morning our clothes felt damp. The toilet got hung about every other flush and you have to take the back off the toilet to fix. The golf cart was the biggest asset. Great for taking everything to beach.

My family and I stayed for a week and wished it could have been longer. The golf cart made access to the beach easy and the grandson totally enjoyed riding it. This OKI property is fabulous for a family vacation.

We loved our stay, plenty of room. 2 short blocks from the beach.

This was our second time to Oak Island and we were not disappointed. The house is as described. The new outdoor shower was great! House is completely within walking distance to the beach. We used the golf cart primarily for hauling beach gear and my parents. Would stay here again for sure.

Truly enjoyed the stay. Very well kept home in a great location. Parking a little tight if you have more than 2 cars with large family. The downstairs area was perfect for my adult son and his friends. Sharon was excellent host. Would highly recommend for larger groups.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very clean and neat with all the right touches. Had lots of extras for the beach and the golf cart was a great bonus! Communication was excellent and they even shipped a package back that we left which puts this place above many of the one's we have stayed at before Check in and check out was great. No loud neighbors or sounds at all with a close walk to the beach My only suggestion would be some new beds. They weren't very comfortable and that is Key on vacation is good sleep. It looked like foaming and padding had been applied but a better bed would be idea as the mattress was just done . The master bedroom had two twin twin beds pushed together which worked but made it more uncomfortable as I am a bigger person. I would definitely come back if this gets fixed. Other than that I consider the trip, location, and hospitality a success!

The property is not clean or well maintained. The grill had an immediate fire when fire lit because of heavy laden grease underneath. All 3 toilets needed plunged repeatedly, even with paper only. Grass not cut. Previous guests’ linens on front porch the entire time. Large amount Dead bugs(?) behind dresser. Soiled sofa and rug. Terrible, musty odor in lower apt.

The location was perfect. Shelby was incredibly responsive and all of the added amenities (golf cart, beach toys, chairs) made the stay even better.

The house was very clean and comfortable for our family gathering. We especially enjoyed having use of the golf cart and garage for all the beach gear.

We had a great time and loved LegaSea! We are already planning our trip back!

We absolutely fell in love with the home! I can't say enough about the place. Upon walking in, you can feel that this is a family place. Very cozy and fully stocked with every piece of beach equipment you could think of. The home is very roomy and super kid friendly. We were elated to find games and a toy closet for the kids. This kept my grands busy for hours! It rained our whole trip, but with all that the house is stocked with, we were never bored. Riding the golf cart around the area was fun. Seeing all of the beautiful houses in the neighborhood was a treat. Swagger Jacks was right by. We rode the golf cart up for lunch and dinner!! The food is excellent. My (grown) children are already talking about coming back and my 3 year old grandson didn't want to leave!! Thank you to the owners for having such a warm and inviting place, and also for being very kind and informative of the area. We will definitely come back to stay again!!!!

I loved this rental for its size, location, and all the extras! The golf cart is a HUGE bonus. Most rentals don’t let you use theirs. Also they let us use sand toys, an umbrella, and boogie boards. The property owner super helpful and communicated with me quickly.

My family and I enjoyed our vacation here. We were very close to the beach and everyone really loved the golf cart! The owner(s) were responsive the entire time. Thank you Shelby! We did not have any major problems with the house, but there are just a couple things that I want to point out: I should have asked this question to the owner(s) beforehand, but I wasn't aware that the downstairs apartment was completely detached from the rest of the house. I assumed that we would have access to it from inside the upstairs house via stairs or something. My parents enjoyed the downstairs apartment so it wasn't a problem, but I just wish that I would have asked more details about how the home was structured because we're typically all together in one space. Lastly, this was also not a big deal as the house was very clean for the most part, but there were strands of hair stuck in a couple of the bed mattresses. One bed looked like it had human hair and the other one looked like it had small dog hairs. This didn't bother us much since we had sheets to cover the mattresses, but we do think that this should be cleaned. Overall, we had a great family vacation here and would definitely recommend it!

We loved our stay here! It was great for hosting a large group and the location was amazing!

The house was very nice. We had a little problem with the AC, but Shelley had it working again by the next day and even refunded one night's rent for the troble. She was very reachable and always responded promptly. The golf cart was great to have for the short trek to the beach and the beach toys that were available was an added bonus. We had a great time and loved ❤️ Oak Island.

The golf cart and the elevator really makes this house stand from the rest . Also very close walk to the beach.

Over all good the first day we took the golf cart out the mirror fell out. I replaced it. And the light in the elevator was not working. But other than that we had a great visit.

This home was perfect for our family of 10. Shelby was incredibly responsive to all our questions and requests. Taking the golf cart to the beach made our daily process of settings things up for the day very easy. I highly recommend this home.

We had a wonderful time on Oak Island. The house was perfect for our large family group. The beach was a very short walk from the house or a super quick ride on the golf cart. Everything was clean and Shelby was super quick to respond with any questions. We really appreciated the small touch of having a booklet of recommendations to go by when looking at places to eat or visit in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back to the little piece of paradise that is Oak Island.

Everything about this property was phenomenal! The entire process from initial booking to check out was so smooth! 9 of us came to stay for a family birthday & Father’s Day for family who live in Winnabow, NC. Shelby kept in contact with me, & answered any questions I had in an extremely timely manner. The house was incredibly clean upon arrival, & I really enjoyed all the little details in the house! We had plenty of room to sleep & relax; we never felt crammed. We were provided with everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The golf cart was an amazing asset to have; the bikes, beach chairs, & umbrellas that were provided for us were a wonderful convenience! Sitting out on the elevated front porch on the rocking chairs drinking morning coffee, or at night with the fan on to keep the bugs away after the sun went down was such a treat! All the bathrooms in the house were SO clean, never did I have to think about putting a towel down on the shower floor or wearing shower shoes. The bedrooms were decorated so cozily & we loved the ceiling fans in every room! The kitchen was well stocked; there were spices & essential cooking supplies, as well as a significant amount of dishes, pans, cups, & anything else you might hope to find in a kitchen if you plan to cook at home. The second efficiency apartment downstairs was wonderful as well. We had a few guests arriving after the initial carload, & they were able to arrive later in the night & sleep undisturbed while the rest of us were upstairs awake. The elevator that connects the upstairs to the garage was incredibly helpful bringing in the luggage, as there are two sets of stairs to access the front door of the main level. It felt just like I was in my own home, only many states away. The access to the beach was one of my favorite parts about the stay. It was approximately a 3-4 minute walk, or 1 minute golf cart ride straight down the road to the beach access. The area was so calm and serene, all the people we met were so friendly and helpful, and all the food was DELICIOUS! The food recommendations provided to us in the guest binder in the house were amazing, we enjoyed going to Island Jo’s every morning for coffee & breakfast (try their amazing crab cake sandwich), and the seafood at Fifty Five Seafood House was amazing, & SO budget friendly! All in all, I truly felt like this home was an incredible location at a VERY reasonable price, & we absolutely cannot wait to come back for another stay!
