not much to like. no one spoke English. no one else was staying there. no AC. water smelled bad. tons of bugs.

The staff!

The matresses are so old you feel the single springs of the matress everywhere. There are several parts where the metal from the springs even comes through the surface, we had to sleep on clothes to not get injured. The kitchen has a fridge, 2 pans and a little pot, and 3 plates forks and knives - thats it. However you can ask flr everything in their restaurant kitchen as they are very helpful. Running Water was cut off 3 Times during 4 days and it took long to get it working again. The rooms are very dark.

Food was really good and cheap. The place is really enjoyable, staff is really nice and always available to assist.

Manager was really friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome.

The staff were so incredibly nice. And I hate leaving a non-flattering review, especially with Gigante not having extreme amounts of tourism, so times would be tough. But, this place needs a bit of an upgrade.

The bed was so so bad. I could feel every spring underneath me. And the fan did nothing to fight off insects or cool you down. Not very clean.

Location, right on the beach. Very friendly staff (son of the owner)

Great staff and location

Location is good, 5-10 minute walk to amarillo or into the main part of town. Cheap drink prices at the bar.

Lots of mosquitos in the room at night. A couple cob webs and small spiders in the room. Bed wasn't super comfy. No commom areas or places to sit other than at the bar. Felt more like a bar with a few rooms attached than a hostel
