we had an amazing stay at Posada del Angel. the staff was very kind and the facilities were great. during the day we were waiting for our flight, they took care of us very well, brought us to the airport and gave us free drinks while waiting

The hotel staff is amazing. Just a wonderful group of people who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was great. The breakfast was delicious with multiple options to choose each day. The location was great as well, 5 minutes walking distance to city center, bars and shops.

Big room, comfy bed, fast wifi, nice and helpful staff and I was able to work in the room as there was a small table and a chair. It is at the edge of town but still close to the plaza de armas and close to nature.
The hotel is next to a busy road so I would recommend bringing ear plugs if you want to sleep early.

The staff was very kind and attentive. They responded immediately to every request we've made. like addressing our special dietary needs. When we needed transportation they've made the proper arrangements for us in Spanish (because we don't speak it). The head manager even helped us when we've lost eye glasses in the airport, driving us there and talking to the people trying to help us.
He really went above and beyond.
The place felt warm and homey.
• The place is located on a junction and there's car noise. It would befit some double-glazing.
• Non Spanish speakers should consider the fact that there are no English speakers in the place. We've used google translate to communicate and we had no problems.
• The curtains don't block the light 100%.

Very clean and new-looking hotel. Amazingly helpful staff / owners. Really good breakfast (regional). Highly recommended. Will definitely use again the next time I am in Tarapoto.
