Had keys to door and had to hand key every time we left.

We were happy to return to this hotel after our stay in October last year. Excellently situated to explore the wider region (Brescia, Mantova, Verona, Solferino, southern shores of the Garda Lake...). Good breakfast. Fine restaurant. Friendly staff. Large room. Good bed.

Bathroom is on the small-ish side. Entrance through a hallway in which smoking is permitted.

We were happy to arrive in Volta di Mantovana and find that our booked hotel doubled as a restaurant. We were impressed by the quality of the meal (+ breakfast the following morning). Spacious, clean room. Property neatly situated about halfway between Mantua and Lake Garda, close to the memorial sites of the Battle of Solferino.

Cramped bathroom. E-cigarettes were smoked in the restaurant. Perhaps a little more customer friendliness here and there.

The receptionist that as I understood is actually the owner - she is definitely not made to welcome customers actually very arrogant from the way she asked for documents at the check-in thru the way she call you (while you are in the toilet) and call back and back until without saying “Goodmorning” she simply wanted to know if I could let come in the room the cleaner to made up my room . Wow! Never ever experienced such a reception . This hotel should hire professional front desk if they want to rent room and welcome Customer. But maybe their strategy is the opposite. Then I would suggest to simply close the hotel.

The people here were very friendly and it is attached to a pizza restaurant. We didn’t get the opportunity to try the breakfast though.
