This was our central location for everything we wanted to see in the Rapid City area before we headed for Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Our only problem was our own self inflicted busyness which meant we didn't have time to relax and enjoy the views at this house. When we finally made it to the city of Spearfish on our last night, we were super close to town and got to enjoy the end of a concert they were having in the street where there were inflatables and lots of activities for kids. We wish we had had time to enjoy the deck at the house. The views were amazing. The house had plenty of towels and washcloths, tissues, toilet paper, etc. There was wine and some snacks waiting for us that unfortunately we also didn't have time to enjoy. (Again, my own fault for keeping us so busy!) We did get to use all the water they had pre-chilled for us in the fridge though! Thanks for sharing your house with us!!

We spent a long weekend in this home. I could have spent several weeks. It is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here unless you have small children. This is not a great property for toddlers. There are stairs to fall down and too many things to get into.

We were surprised on how spacious the home was! My grandchildren were so surprised by the 'garden' and that they could walk out there. They loved watching for deer below the family area. The kitchen had spacious counter space. I slept in the guest bedroom off the kitchen and gave my son and his family the upstairs. My bed was very comfortable. The children, ages 8-2, enjoyed your books. A very family friendly home. I might have left my white handle Cutco knife in the dishwasher, but I will be back to the Black Hills again and ask if you found it. Thank you.

It was just as advertised. Lots of cool spaces inside and the outdoor space is awesome. Wish the weather had been bettet

We really enjoyed this house. The view was spectacular! The hot water heater quit working and the host was over right away and fixing the problem which was very appreciated. A great place to stay!

Spacious, neat, clean, and extremely comfortable. We would look to stay here again when we return in 2023.

Beautiful home with lots of updates. The deck was for sure the best part of the house. And the snacks and water provided were a wonderful surprise! The check in and out process was simple. Not the 2 page list of clean the house before someone else does :) I would have appreciated a heads up when the owners arrived to fix the air in the master bedroom. And they had a grad student staying in the basement but she didn’t get there until Sunday. Other than that, great stay!

Spent the majority of our time on the deck outside. We enjoyed the amazing view, sitting around the fire and making memories!!

It was awesome, beautiful view! Listened to John Prine’s song “in spite of our selves” on the way here from Nebraska for the first time, then saw the song on the wall here!!! Our sign!😊 great access to Spearfish canyon and other points of view. Loved the fire pit and view to the back and outside sitting area, well stocked and very comfortable, great beds! Looking forward to our next visit here🥰

We had family from 3 states gather for a nephew’s football game at BHSU. We enjoyed our time tailgating and game-watching. And then we experienced an amazing weekend at this incredible home! We all loved the living arrangement, the kitchen, the deck, the view, the games, and the walking path behind the home! We could not have felt anymore welcomed and everyone left with smiles and great memories! Thank you so much, Cindy!

Very comfortable roomy home within walking distance to the Spearfish City Park and the DC Booth Fish Hatchery. Also very short drive to downtown restaurants and Safeway grocery. We would stay there again.

The view from this home is so beautiful. The picture captured it but in real time it is captive. The house is perfect in every way! We so enjoyed the outdoor space and gas fire pit. It was our go to hang out each night. We are so happy we found such a great place to stay in Spearfish, South Dakota!

We traveled from all over the country to Spearfish for the 50th anniversary of the USS Downes. We stayed at the property with old friends and had a wonderful time. It is so spacious. We loved the deck and the fire table. Thank you for opening your home to us!!!
