Charming Original Stone Cottage Close To Beaches and Countryside
Cottage in pietra d'epoca di alta qualità nel centro di Alnwick, perfetto per coppie e piccole famiglie. Il cottage ha un delizioso giardino con patio che si affaccia sulle mura della città originale. Facciamo ogni sforzo per farvi trascorrere un soggiorno confortevole e rilassante. Cottage Puddleduck ha tutti i servizi locali nelle vicinanze. Questi includono Alnwick Playhouse. Il famoso Barter Books, (una delle più grandi librerie di seconda mano del paese, situato nell'affascinante vecchia stazione ferroviaria) è a pochi minuti a piedi ed è ottimo per trascorrere un paio d'ore a leggere e gustare una tazza di tè e dolci in giro un fuoco aperto. Il cottage si trova tra la costa del patrimonio e le colline di Cheviot. Alnwick Castle and Gardens sono solo pochi minuti a piedi. Perfect location - 10 mins either way and you have everything you'll need

Beautiful cottage and so handy for town centre. Tried most of pubs, warm welcome everywhere. Lots of homely touches to make it special, pictures, ducks, cosy throws, comfy bed. Even in early March, ok now and again to sit in outside courtyard area, well looked after property. Loved our 3 days, will come back soon. Xxx

The cottage is lovely. It was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. There was a generosity about the place - from the welcome basket to the basics left in the kitchen (tea, coffee, salt and pepper, washing up liquid etc). It is a few minutes from everything - playhouse, castle and gardens, restaurants. Best restaurant for us was Lilburns in Alnwick- book as soon as you can.

We really liked the cottage and the way we could just walk into town. It was a perfect spot for access to the wedding we attended in Alnwick Gardens. We found the beds comfortable and the house was spotless. We would love to return again one day.

Good location in the centre of Alnwick, however quite noisy as all the buses and trucks avoiding the narrow archway down the road come past. Street parking fine just up the road by the Tanner's Arms.

Very well equipped little cottage.
Fantastic location, just a short walk away from:
- Alnwick's main attractions, including Alnwick Castle and Barter Books
- Swansfield playground
- various supermarkets, including Lidl
- the bus stop (we caught a bus to Alnmouth - only a 10 minute ride away)
- long stay car parks (although be warned that these get busy, but we found unrestricted parking on nearby Lisburn Street)
All in all, a fabulous stay!

Alnwick itself is well situated for quick access to both the coastal towns and the National Park. We had a great stay and highly recommend.

Alnwick break
The property had all you could reasonably want for a short stay in Alnwick. It is exactly as described online- close to all amenities in the town and a 10 minute drive from several wonderful Northumberland beaches.

Beautiful Cottage!
Beautiful cottage in an amazing location, the cottage was beautiful & clean. Lovely little welcome pack with biscuits & wine on arrival.
On the Friday we had no power due to the storm however the cottage had everything we needed to get through the night.

We found the bed a bit soft but my son loved he’s bed (but we are all different when it comes to the beds)
Some fantastic beeches near by and castle lots of them
One thing that would be nice a blind in the single bedroom with the curtains

Amazing property
We’ve loved our stay at the Puddleduck Cottage. The cottage is ideally located 5min walk from the city centre, Alnwick gardens, Barter books and convenience stores. It is within easy commute to wonderful places waiting to be discovered. The cottage is truly beautiful and well furnished with a lovely outdoor space. It is suitable for couples or small families. We highly recommend it!

Cosy property in an excellent location
We loved staying at Puddleduck Cottage. It was our first time in this part of the country and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The cottage was surprisingly close to town and with the window open, a little noisy from the passing traffic. However, with the window closed it wasn't a problem. We felt very comfortable in the cottage and parking wasn't a problem. We loved sitting in the outdoor space in the sunshine. We hope to visit again in the future.

Excellent communication with Janet - lots of information left at the cottage to guide us - Everything was perfect and we had an amazing time in Alnwick -some attractions closed due to virus but still plenty to do -If you are looking for perfect accommodation in a gorgeous setting this cottage is it . The cosiest cottage we couldn’t leave....
This gorgeous cottage provided shelter from Storm Dennis on a windy long weekend in Northumbria. It had everything we needed - so much so that we couldn’t tear ourselves away from the log burner to eat out in the evenings (fantastic lunches were had at The Ship Inn at Newton and The Jolly Fisherman in Craster instead!). Brilliant location in centre of Alnwick for a wander around the shops, tearooms and pubs! Puddleduck Cottage provided a much needed short break - have returned much refreshed!

Weekend at Alnwick.
Great cottage didn't want to leave. It has everything you could need and it is so central. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Alnwick now and hope to come back later in the year.

Winter break
We had a lovely time, getting out for walks on the coast and up Simonsides. There were good maps and walk guides and clear information about the electronic gadgets in the house and the local facilities. Our holidays are never complete without a trio to a second hand bookshop, Barter books was less than 10 mins walk away. Lovely holiday, thank you

Xmas in puddleduck cottage
That was our 2nd visit to Puddleduck cottage and it will not be our last. We had a fantastic xmas there, the cottage is really comfortable and has everything you need. thank you both for the xmas present you left for us it was a lovely surprise. Karen & Steve

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was so close to all amenities, so was in an ideal situation. What was provided within the cottage was excellent, so the cottage was like a home from home. We would hope to come back to Puddleduck cottage again.
