Perfect location to main street (mall) of Canterbury only being maybe 10 minute or less walk. Well stocked to cater for guests including books for light reading. Heating system was very effective. Garden patio with table and chairs in front and back were appreciated on the fine, sunny days. Booklet of general town information and instructions for the heating system and tv etc kept us well informed. Check in information was easy to follow. Initial communication on booking was also easy to navigate. Beds were comfortable. Two rooms and two bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this cottage.

Well-stocked, great location (you can see Canterbury Cathedral spires from the front garden), charming decor and spacious floor plan easily sleeps four or five. My kids loved the extras (X-box with plenty of offline games), and my wife and I enjoyed watching some DVD’s from the owner’s collection, including the Spielberg classic ET, on the widescreen TV in the parlor. Warm gas fireplace in parlor and instructions on how to use. Much better option than any local hotel!

Had a fab time. The property was perfect for us. Beds amazingly comfortable. Fab location central to everything but nicely tucked away. Would certainly use again.

Loved, loved this place! Canterbury is beautiful and we enjoyed the ease of walking around exploring as well as connecting with friends for the wedding we were in town for!

It was a great experience for our week in Canterbury. Easy walking to so many things, including train station only 17 minute walk. The rooms were comfortable and visually calming and if we needed anything the grocery store was 5 minutes away. The best part was the owner had quick response especially when the power went out one night. Totally would stay again if need be.

Its overall charm, location and excellent facilities. Steep stairs to upper floor and bath/shower arrangements in en-suite not ideal for elderly visitors.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage but would make the following observations; 1. All of the electrical PAT testing is out of date 2. The BBQ was not clean and available to use 3. In the downstairs shower room, the washbasin is so small it is not really available to be used as a full shower room 4. Overly complicated TV remote controls - 3 of them and not clearly marked which was for each TV/Sky box etc 5. Could not get the TV in the dining are working at all 6. Inconsistencies in the arrival/departure instructions between email, welcome book and blackboard in kitchen eg time of arrival stated as 3pm and 5pm, departure time as 9am/10.30am and 11am. Also parking outside….possible or not possible? The positives however were: 1. Lovely fluffy new M&S towels in the bathrooms 2. Well fitted out kitchen with lots of utensils, pots/pans etc 3. Good location for the centre of town 4. V clean 5. Thank you for sorting parking in Longport car park in advance of our arrival.

This is a typical 150 year old English flat, total of about 15’ wide. Steep stairs is an understatement. The bathroom situation is very awkward. Not good for two couples. This unit would also be difficult for elderly. It is dated and tied. It works, but know what your getting. Location is convenient.

Perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, aged 2 and 6, having all amenities we needed. The staircase was quite steep, but child gates were available. Car park was a few minutes wall away so we just parked and walked our things over. House and garden are lovely. We had a great time and would stay again.

Peaceful cottage on the edge of the city with easy access to all the local facilities. Excellent communication from Neil from start to finish with all the information provided for our stay and an added bonus is the provision of a car park pass for the nearby Longport car park.

This place is ideally close to city centre although being placed in a quiet little cul de sac and is 5 mins to shops and about 10 mins to cathedral. Very clean and tidy. Had small problem with Tv but was easily rectified.. Would definately recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay in St. Augustine's Cottage. Location was fantastic, easy to walk to all of the attractions that Canterbury has to offer. The cottage itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds. The cottage was warm and it was lovely to relax there in the evenings after our trips to the Kent coast. Really appreciated the welcome basket and the added extras, especially the coffee! Thank you Neil and Joanne for your fantastic communication and for enabling us to have a much needed break.

We found the property in great order. Great location with a lovely pub around the corner with good food and friendly staff. We would recommend this property to any of our friends to stay, loved it. Nice little welcome pack on the kitchen table when we arrived, nice touch.

Perfect cottage for our stay and comfy and in walking distance of the city centre. Welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. Xbox kept our teenager entertained when the weather wasn't so good. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Lovely cottage in a great location for the city

This is our second stay at the cottage and it continues to deliver. In a city with little parking, the benefit of off-street parking cannot be mistaken. Ideally placed to walk into the City as well as short drives away from the likes of Whitstable and Dover Castle.....we will be looking to stay a third time!

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was literally 2 minutes walk into the town center. Despite this the house is quiet and private. Great kitchen facilities. Highly recommend if you're looking for a central base in Canterbury

A very cosy house on a perfect location in Canterbury. The house is clean and specious. 2 big size bedrooms and one with own bathroom. Dining room and good kitchen with view on the garden. Just about 400 m from the city center,! With own parking space. A good price/quality. Surprise was the welcome basket with all sorts of food👍�

The property was exactly as advertised and equipped to meet all our needs during the 12 day stay. Neil was very responsive in providing helpful suggestions, particularly for restaurants (the Corner House is indeed very good and the blood pudding wrapped Scotch Eggs were truly excellent). The 10 minute access to the heart of Canterbury allowed for easy and safe enjoyment of the town. The parking was an additional bonus for friends who visited with us. They were equally impressed with the property.

Everything was Lovely - even the weather!

The cottage was lovely, cosy and well equipped. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room, the bedrooms are spacious with good beds and the sofa bed was also comfy. I loved the roll top bathtub! The kitchen was very well equipped to cook our Easter lunch, and the garden a real treat in the sunshine. The place is very convenient to explore Canterbury, only 5’ walk from the Roman walls and 15’ from the Cathedral - also, it’s close to the bus station to get around the rest of Kent easily. Neil was a very responsive host and we loved the chocolates and wine we found on arrival. Definitely recommended for a family stay!

We felt very comfortable from the beginning because of the great communication with Neil. The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us. The amenities were great the location perfect. Very Clean and comfortable. Lots of space. Thank you for sharing your cottage. Hope to return again
