Our family enjoyed their week at this historic house. Access to the beach, the boardwalk and the shops/restaurants of Rehoboth could not be better. The kitchen(s) are the most fully equipped that we have ever encountered and the host was gracious and quick to respond. Best of all, there was lots of room!

The house is a little bit older, but it is in very good shape. The owner is extremely nice and very responsive whenever there was a problem. This summer is the second year we stayed in the house. We hope to stay there next summer also. The location and the number of bedrooms are wonderful.

We had another amazing week in Rehoboth and our host Mat was the best! We loved the house and cottage; it was perfect for our large family! Mat was extremely accommodating and had so many amenities provided! Looking forward to next year already!

Could not have been happier with the property. Easy walk to beach even for the 6 yr old. Two houses let us put late sleepers in Lake Cottage and early birds in the Gas Light. Everything you could want was there - plenty of pans, dishes, every utensil imaginable, good library, plenty of blankets/pillows, games/puzzles/beach toys. The huge screened front porch was a bonus. Owner was easy to contact before and during our stay; very responsive. Would not hesitate to stay there again - best family vacation ever.

The host was very attentive. The house is very clean. Most things have been recently updated. Some of the older things were quite serviceable. I have never stayed at a rental house that had so many kitchenware items available for use. The owner supplied all sorts of things we often don’t see, laundry detergent, dish towels, Abundance of paper goods. Lots of toys And books for kids. Lots of beach equipment. Excellent restroom facilities. Having the two separate buildings worked very well for our family as we wake up a different times.

The property was in a perfect location for access to beach and boardwalk, Rehoboth Avenue shops and restaurants and serene enjoyment of Lake Gerrar. The kitchen was very well-equipped with utensils, serving platters, and pantry items—we were able to serve a beautiful tea for 12 one afternoon. The very best part was the very large screen porch, where we spent most of every day. Mat was extremely responsive to questions and requests. I couldn’t recommend it more.

19 teachers spent the weekend in Rehoboth. The property was perfect for us. It was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and Rehoboth Avenue. The owner was wonderful!

Our friend group had an excellent stay and the house was large but cozy at the same time. The 2 different lodging areas were great to give everyone their own space. We enjoyed the historical nature of the property and loved the huge front screened in porch. This property was super close to the beach and town. We walked everywhere. The host communication was smooth and we appreciated the Friday check in to make sure we received all the information. Would definitely recommend.

What a perfect stay!! You WILL NOT REGRET Making a reservation at Mathew’s home!!!! Lots of room to spread out, the screened porch is the perfect cherry on top.
If i had to make one suggestion….i couldn’t find a crock pot….Lol! Trust me this place is off the charts perfect for larger groups. There is literally every other cooking and serving utensil, tool, pot, pan, coffee maker…..it’s ALL THERE!!
Oh yeah….the beds are super comfy too.

The location was great! So easy to run up and grab lunch and get right back to the beach quickly. Nice size for our large group, however we had a few days out of the week where we d come up from the beach to shower and after a few showers there was no hot water. I only gave it 3 stars on cleanliness as we stayed in the cottage and my daughter found dried up contacts on the ledge near her top bunk, the loft was pretty dirty too however we didn’t have anyone who needed to stay up there so it was nt a big deal for us. The main living areas and bathrooms were clean. The outdoor shower behind the cottage didn’t work and there were no beach chairs. I will say Mathew was very easy to contact and quick to respond on any questions we had which we did appreciate. Overall we managed to have a great trip.

We all had a delightful time! Having rented this house twice before, I was confident that it would be perfect for the family group. The lovely front porch was a plus...great for reading, gathering , eating and kids play.
Perhaps I missed the link to a linen rental option, and would use such a service if it were available. You also have a neighbor who is very concerned with the number of cars parked in the driveway (she said 4 was the max allowed), and with anyone stepping on her grass. We all attempted to stay on the proper side of the marker.

Our group was 15 strong. Ages 4-75. There was ample room for all with large dining room table and porch dining. Bedrooms were ample with variety of sizes. The kitchen had everything we needed and more with lots of dishes and silverware for a large crowd. Beautifully maintained home and guesthouse with an interesting history!

Our family of 18 thoroughly enjoyed the gaslight house compound. There was plenty of room, the kitchen well-appointed, and the property perfectly situated to the beach and local attractions. Mat, the owner, was attentive and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in the Gaslight house and lake cottage. Despite being a large family group of 17, we felt very comfortable in the space and all were impressed with how lovely the home is. We cooked many large meals in the well appointed kitchen, spent loads of time on the spacious screened porch and fully appreciated the proximity to the beach, boardwalk and restaurants while still being on a quiet street. Mat was a wonderful, responsive host who went the extra mile when we had any issues. We would definitely recommend staying in his home and hope to make it back again ourselves!

The Gaslight House was the perfect house for our group. It was located a short walk from all downtown sights and stores, on a quiet street, with plenty of space and a great kitchen. We would stay here again on future trips to Rehoboth.

Enjoyed having 2 perfect houses to accommodate extended family with several young children. Fantastic a/c during record breaking heat spell was vital! Ample parking & proximity to beach, boardwalk & cafes allowed total freedom for all ages. Ideal houses in layout & lovely decor. A truly lovely vacation for all.
