We are a family of twenty and for the past eleven years we have rented beach houses for a family vacation this house is one of the best we’ve ever had.

House was perfect! The pictures for living room are deceiving. It’s much larger than the pictures show. Any issues we had or questions, Eric took care of immediately and responded to my messages quickly! The proximity to the ocean is perfect and we lucked out on perfect weather our whole vacation! I would totally recommend the ice cream shop on the pier. It’s amazing! Thank you for your accommodations!

This place was amazing. We had 16 people. Perfect location for all of us. We rented a golf cart, but its easily walkable to the Pier and the restaurants. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and made for a wonderful week! Highly recommend this place and the owner is extremely responsive and helpful! Love that this area is not super crowded during spring break.

Great views. Pool and hot tub were dirty but host took care of that right away and any other issues we may have had. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place.

The house was amazing. The pool and hit tub made for some great wedding pictures. We loved the house. Having a bathroom in each bedroom was great! The patio and short walk to the beach was perfect. We will definitely come back next year

My family gathered together for a celebration of life for my Aunt who passed away the year before. We had a wonderful time and the house had all the amenities that we wanted. Thank you for making our vacation a memorable experience.

We had a great family beach trip! The layout and size of the house worked well for our family of 14 with plenty of space to spread out when needed but also allowed us to hang out together and eat together without being crowded. The bunk bed space worked great for the kids! It is a great location, right on the beach and close to places to eat. The beach itself was very clean with lots of soft sand, quiet, and wasn’t overly crowded. We also enjoyed using the pool almost every day. There were fun pool floats and some beach toys available for the kids to use as well. We didn’t use the hot tub during our trip but it was a nice option to have. The air conditioning was very effective at keeping the house cool! Eric was a very responsive host and quick to remedy any issues that arose. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely love to stay here again next year!

Family Matters is a great name for it. Great for all ages. Loved view of beach and easy access to beach. Pool was great and 5 bed rooms plus bunk beds in hall was perfect for our group of 14.

Our family had a fabulous experience at Family Matters! The property was well kept and had everything we needed for our stay. Traveling with two young children can be difficult, but the home had many accommodations for our kids (high chair, baby gate, etc.). We loved having a private pool and used it daily! You cannot beat the easy beach access and views at Family Matters. Our family enjoyed sitting on the deck each night and soaking in the views and sounds of the ocean. The owners were always very responsive and helpful with anything we needed; the neighbors are great as well! We hope to return to Family Matters in the future. It was a fantastic stay!

Our stay in Myrtle Beach at Family Matters was fabulous!!
Our two daughters, a son-in-law, a 16 & 12 yr old granddaughter and our 14yr old grandson were with us. The waves at the beach were awesome for everyone and once we were beached out, we went to the pool & some to the hot tub. It was walkable to restaurants and an easy drive to anything you wanted. My husband and grandson enjoyed a couple of golf outings.
Everyone had their own space and bathroom and the inside the house was open for dining and game playing.
The owner was easy to work with and the neighbor was a wonderful help while we were there.
I highly recommend Family Matters !!!

This property worked out very well for our extended family gathering of 10 people. It has a great location right on the beach. The pool works well as a change of pace from the ocean waves too.

The house was awesome! The only negative was the pool/hot tub and surrounding area being unusable due to damage from Hurricane Ian. The owner Eric was in contact with us about the pool area and even refunded some of our money because of the inconvenience! You can’t ask for better than that from an owner. Having said that, my husband and I enjoyed the view and sounds of the beach so much that we barely noticed the pool area not being up to par. I went to sleep each night to the sound of the waves. It was pure bliss! I’m thankful that we were able to have a week and the hurricane didn’t do more damage to the house and to the area in general.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at Family Matters. Having each bedroom with a private bath was great and the bunk bed on the upper landing was perfect for our 4 year old. The best part was the quick walk from our property to the beach, just a few steps. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and enjoyed daily. Would suggest adding an internet booster, like EERO, as we had many users and many of us lost connection, especially upstairs. Would recommend to any large families.

Our family enjoyed our stay at "Family Matters". Our host was quick to answer any questions before we arrived and was very accommodating. The house was great. Having the pool and private walkway to beach was the best.

Great location, lots of space, pool and hot tub!
Property was very spacious for our family! We loved that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. Plenty of open space in the kitchen and living room to spend time with family. Great location, nice pool and hot tub --- everything you want for a week at the beach! The kids loved the bunk hallway. Overall, the house was perfect but just a tad tired. The walk way to the beach is peeling with paint so the kids were scared of splinters and there was a wasp's nest under the steps that stung two adults. A few beach chairs were broken at the pool, no gas in the grill when we arrived, lots of sand in the pool and hot tub. We also had to make our own beds with sheets which I wasn't aware of. Check in and out was very easy. Would stay here again.

This property fit the needs of our family well. The house was so close to the ocean and the pool entertained the younger kids. We brought our own pool toys but they had plenty available. We also brought our own beach towels but they supplied more than enough. Any complaints I had the manager responded quickly.

Million dollar views!
This is the perfect place to enjoy a beach vacation. The house was a perfect fit for my family, kitchen is well stocked, the pool was a hit with my son, the beach being just steps away was awesome but the views from the deck were priceless! I would definitely recommend this piece of heaven!!

Unbeatable location!
We loved the private boardwalk to the beach and private pool. Communication with host Eric was great. Property needed some TLC and general upkeep. Surprised basics like more than one roll of TP per room or paper towels or dish or dishwasher soap wasn’t provided and we had to make our own beds with sheets provided for the rental cost. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely amazing !
Communication with the owner was just perfect! When we needed some additional information about the property and the area the owner answered right away. The house was spacious and clean, able to accommodate our large family. The location was amazing , steps away from the beach and close to everything you possibly want to do or eat. We had a great stay at Family Matters and would highly recommend!

We wanted a beachfront house with a pool close to shops and restaurants. Family Matters exceeded expectations. It’s a really nice house with plenty of room. The owners responded to questions quickly and were very helpful. We will definitely stay here again should we come back to Surfside!

Wonderful Vacation
This property is perfect for almost any family to enjoy ocean side living with a perfect ocean view. The house came very well stocked, from kitchen ware, linens and towels, Wi-Fi, tv's and all sorts of beach-going gear for the whole family. The ocean side pool was perfect for spending water time when not at the ocean. Plenty of chairs at the pool as well as on the large deck off the family room. Being in Surfside Beach we were close to everything you possibly want to do or eat. The large family room, kitchen and 5 bedrooms fit our family perfectly. The owner was a great host and did a great job communicating with us. We will definitely consider this property in the future.

The perfect getaway for families
We stayed with another family in this lovely property right on Surfside Beach. Eric was great to work with and very responsive. The house was clean and bright. The beds were comfy. And there were bathrooms for everyone. The 4 kids went between the pool and the beach everyday and walked down for slushies to Scotty's. It was a perfect Covid retreat.

Oct2020 vaca
We had a great stay at Family Matters. We selected the property bc it has 2 master bedrooms and plenty of other sleeping options for our group of 8. I was particularly impressed with the kitchen appliances, gadgets, mixing bowls and bakeware. For a family that dines in this really made it easier to cook. The pool was heated and everyone enjoyed it. The maintenance team that the homeowner has to service the property for guests were professional and performed their task very stealth like. The check in / keyless entry process was very simple. The proximity to local establishments (restaurants, grocery, etc.) can’t be beat. We loved the amount of beach available even at high tide! Lastly, the communication with the homeowner was exceptional. All in all I’d say our families enjoyed Family Matters!

Ladies Retirement Trip
We just recently rented this property for my mother’s retirement celebration and it was perfect! The house was clean and organized great for the 6 of us. We also loved the short steps to the beach!

A Happy Week
I checked with all of the members of our party to get their opinions before writing this, and the feedback they gave me about our vacation was unanimously positive. Twelve of us spent a delightful week at this property. The owners texted shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was good. The house was spacious, clean, and beautiful. We were all able to have our own private rooms and bathrooms. The kids and adults alike greatly enjoyed playing in and lounging around the pool. And the convenience of being basically able to walk right out of the back door onto the beach was such a treat. If just a few of us wanted to run out for a quick boogie-boarding or kite-flying session, it wasn't a big thing we had to plan ahead for. We had access to groceries and souvenir shopping close by. Some of our group were able to take advantage of the local mini golf course and ice cream shops. We enjoyed cooking most of our meals at the house, including a fabulous steak night made possible by the propane grill. But we also had access to a lot of good take-out nearby, such as pizza, seafood, and Thai. Everything we wanted was right where we needed it. To sum up, the house was quite welcoming for our family. The location was super convenient, both in regards to beach access, and shopping/dining access. The communication with the owners was friendly and easy. And we would all absolutely be happy to spend our next summer vacation here again in the future.
