It was a very peaceful setting with cows and ducks. The accommodation was beautifully done with a seperate bedroom and a great shower. It had everything I needed

Highlands on Homestead was wonderful. Spotless, excellent shower, really comfy bed, great wifi, about 10 minutes drive to the blue penguin centre ( our reason for visiting Oamaru). The farm animals and garden were so lovely to relax in and explore - can’t beat rural night skies either, so clear! . Breakfast was an added bonus!

I think a small heat pump for more instant warmth in the morning wouldn’t go astray 😉

Absolutely loved this wee gem..Quiet settling only 5 mins drive from all the amenities you could ever need. Well appointed , delightfully decorated with lots of thoughtful homely touches.

The location of this absolutely charming property was perfect as it was a very close, 9 min drive into town, but felt like you were in the country staying at the beautiful farmstead. If you want to stay in town then choose a property in town. This beautiful self contained cottage or chalet is in a charming quiet area. We loved being out in nature & the location is very calm, with animals all around. Enjoyed seeing the sheep and the alpacas.

Place was very quiet and comfortable. Being able to walk around the rural property was great. Covered veranda made it easy to load the car in the rain. Separate bedroom to sitting room was an added advantage.

There was a lack of PowerPoints in the rooms and the quality of the appliances was poor.

The beautiful peaceful location. Loved meeting all the highland cattle and alpacas. Close to town where we had an excellent dinner. Jenny gave us some great recommendations on places to visit in the area.

The cabin was set in it's own pretty garden next to the host's house. Everything we needed was provided and the bed was very comfortable. The host took us to feed the alpacas and highland cattle and told us all about them and the history of the property. The property is very peaceful and beautiful and only a short drive from Oamaru.

Jenny as a host was amazing. She gave an introduction to her place and was reachable for any questions and provided valuable insights on things to do as a tourist. The animals on the farm are adorable and the garden is beautiful

all good - except the weather, but this cannot be changed.

The host is very friendly and welcoming, The studio is very quiet and private with a large deck looking over the beautiful garden. It is only 10 minutes from central Oamaru. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom very dark for a good nights sleep. As a single female I felt very safe, knowing the host's home was only a short walk along the deck. There is free parking directly in front of the studio.
