House was exactly as advertised, extremely well equipped, very clean, and owner was amazingly well organized and responsive. This is a great location for someone interested in lake water sports, and in relaxation!

This is a beautiful home in a quiet and peaceful area. Upper Saranac Lake is pristine, scenic, and conveniently located in close proximity (20 to 30 minute drive) to the villages of Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, and Lake Placid. Kayaking, canoeing, and swimming opportunities are less than a few minute walk across the street. The Saranac Inn golf course is a two minute drive away. Countless hiking options are located within an hour radius of this location. The hosts are excellent! They are extremely well organized, provide detailed information and recommendations prior to arrival, and are readily available to answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend a vacation at this wonderful location.

Our stay at Michelle and Joe's home was, in a word, perfect. They provided every amenity that we could possibly want and much more! From all forms of lake recreational equipment to linen to a fully appointed kitchen. While not directly on the lake the Upper Saranac is across the street from their home and only a few minutes walk to the private dock and beach. Above all the owner's desire and availability to meet every need made it a true get-away for us. Making our plans for next summer at this home. Kudos and many thanks to Michelle and Joe!

It had been 14 years since we'd visited the Adirondack's and our first family vacation in four years. We were excited to share the area with our kids and Michelle's home was the perfect home base for our vacation. It was super organized, very well stocked and very quiet on a dead end street. Our kids loved the play set as well as the upstairs bedroom area. The kitchen was well stocked as we ate in most days. I have not rented many short term rentals before and this one sets the bar high. Would certainly go back again.

What a great location and comfortable home. Our grandkids loved the upstairs bedroom. There were tons of kids games and lots for them to do outside. It was a wonderful stay. Michelle has thought and provided everything you might need while enjoying their home.

Fit the bill completely, had absolutely everything we needed: linens, towels, kitchen gear for everyday. And everything needed for outdoor enjoyment: Kayaks, canoe, games, fire pit and firewood. Can't say enough about the owner Michelle who personally came by to meet and greet and was a wealth of current info on the area and history on her part of the ADK as her family is native to the area with an interesting backstory. The penultimate host for sure. It is nicely renovated cottage second home for the host's family that made us feel quite at home. There were easy instructions for operating any of the amenities like the gas fireplace that came in handy for the chilly nights early in the season. The kitchen had absolutely everything imaginable for cooking. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely like to return again to both this house and the ADK.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property. It was so clean, everything was renovated and updated, the kitchen was large and fully stocked with everything you need and plenty of things you didn't know you needed! Everything was well organized, and easy to find. The beds were very comfortable, and I have back problems so this is always a concern for me. The location was ideal, right near the lake but not too far from town either. Michelle was phenomenal with communication, answering our questions, and giving us recommendations for the area. We did not have children with us, but the whole upstairs was for kids, and they had everything parents could need. It was also very pet friendly with dog bowls, crate, and a dog run. Despite being pet-friendly, it was very clean and I saw no dog hair anywhere which is great because I have allergies to dogs who shed. This didn't feel like a rental, it felt like home. It's a really nice setting (pine area with gorgeous lake) and warm and inviting house. We were on hand to play women's ice hockey in the Empire State Winter Games., representing the Hudson Valley. We wish we'd had the time to avail ourselves of all the fun things to do in the area -- or even a fraction of them. Our host, Michelle, went above and beyond in sending us information on everything from great places to eat breakfast to museums and so much more. She simply couldn't have been nicer.

We wanted a cabin in the Adirondacks for a winter trip centered around hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing / skijoring, and cozy time by a fireplace. We didn't want to eat out much, so a full kitchen was a must. We also wanted to include fully our snow-friendly dog in our trip. This cabin was perfect for our plans, and it exceeded our high expectations from the listing. In particular, the great room with the kitchen / eating area, living room, and gas fireplace (and TV) was larger than expected, fully equipped, and outfitted with plenty of Adirondack literature. The shed contained an abundance of high-quality equipment (snowshoes, sleds, tubes, and stuff for the summer). And the location--in a scenic area in the vicinity of greater Saranac Lake but not in town--was also perfect for our needs. We had a four-wheel drive vehicle, but four-wheel drive wasn't required at all, because the neighborhood roads were plowed promptly throughout our stay. Finally, the owners were a delight to work with. If we were to return to the Saranac area (which we very well might do), we'd likely stay here again.

This is a lovely home close to the lake. It was clean and cozy. Any questions were answered immediately. Access was quick and easy. There were boat slips available a short distance down the street and parking for cars and trailers. FISHING WAS GREAT! Just wish that coffee or tea was provided for the cool and busy morning. We relay enjoyed our time at Saranac Lake! Thank you for having us as guests!

Property and home were accurately presented, clean and well equipped. Michele is very organized and accessible. Our family visit included 4 adults and a 2 year old. All the prior reviews are so true. Great communication with the owner who took the time to give us recommendations and ideas. The cabin itself was very clean, nicely decorated and in a perfect location. We had use of the owner's canoe and kayaks. The kitchen was well stocked. One could tell the owners put a lot of love and care into this place, and it was obvious they also used this place for their vacations. It made it feel all the more like home. I would definitely book again. Michelle, thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us! It was a perfect stay.

This was the absolute best rental home experience I have ever had. Not only was Michelle the sweetest and most helpful host, the house was much better than the description. The bedrooms were so cozy and clean. The kitchen was REALLY stocked. Every home owner says that, but trust me. Michelle's home has everything you need for a smooth summer vacation. And the best part is that it is very well outfitted for kids of every age! I felt so at home and it was so helpful to have access to the life jackets, the sand toys and beach cart, the board games and books, etc. Everything is organized impeccably and is kept where it makes sense. I really hope to come back to this house again! We all miss it terribly!

My family of 5 (including 3 kids 5 years old and younger) had a fantastic stay at Michelle's house. The communication process leading up to and during the stay was helpful and welcoming. As for the house - it was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. We typically have so much 'stuff' to bring since we travel with an infant- not this time. Everything we needed was already in the house (even infant tubs for the shower!). That went for anything else we needed - beach toys, a hiking backpack for the baby, a stocked kitchen, linens, DVDs,etc. We truly appreciated the effort that went into making it feel like we could just show up and relax. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet and the nearby towns of Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake had plenty to keep us busy/fed!

We would highly recommend this home for rental. It was clean and fully equipped and an extremely comfortable home away from home. Dog friendly, waterfront/dock access, kayaks and canoe to borrow, well equipped kitchen for the culinary aficionado. This is our second summer renting this home and both weeks were phenomenal. This property was just as what our family wanted. The vacation home was conveniently located near boat launch, dock, beach and nearby scenic mountains and waterways. The property manager was well organized and ensured that the property contained everything we needed for our family's Adirondack Adventures. We went boating, fishing, and tubing on beautiful Upper Saranac Lake where our grandkids caught more than 50 fish. We kayaked the Raquette River from Axton Landing to Tupper Lake and went kayaking through scenic waterways from Upper St. Regis Lake through Spitfire Lake and Lower St. Regis to Paul Smith's College. We hiked some nearby mountains, and biked a portion of the new Adirondack Rail Trail that is still under construction and not yet paved so mountain bikes work best. After returning from our daily adventures we were able to stop back at the beach to go for a swim or take the boat out from the dock for a peaceful evening cruise. Our grandkids summarized what we all felt when they stated that they didn't want our vacation to end. So on the way home, their parents took them to the Wild Center at Tupper Lake which they all thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend this property.

Great cozy cottage on a quiet little peninsula with easy water access. Immaculately clean and everything you could possibly want or need. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great Central location to go out and do just about anything the ADK has to offer. Will be coming back in the Fall!
