The included brekki was awesome! Pool area was nice to hang out and meet the other peeps, great kitchen to cook and great bathrooms without long waiting Very nice hostel, loved it!

The staff was really nice and welcoming. They have a nice pool which I couldn't use as it was too cold.

Guests are only allowed to shower once a day which is a bit silly as this is a surfing spot at the ocean. People should at least be given the chance to shower twice a day. If you like to shower more, you'll need to pay extra. Some guests might need this, some not. But this option at least should be given to every guest. - The toilets/showers are outside of the dorm area. This means that if you need to use the toilet at night, you will have to go outside where it's usually really cold. The toilets are not very clean either. Toilet paper is missing all the time. - The location is not really close to the centre or the beaches. You can pay extra to arrange a transfer though. But it's possible to walk 20 to 30 minutes to the lighthouse. - I didn't find the mattress comfortable. You need to be prepared to change the bed sheets yourself. You wouldn't expect that at these rates for shared dorms. Plus trash bins were missing in the dorm rooms.

Great place and service. I was lucky to be there before the season so it was quiet and not crowded. The pool is perfect and if You decide to stay for a local dinner menu You wont ve disappointed. Great value for the services.

I wish kitchen was available at all times. Wanted to leave early, but the kitchen was closed with my food inside. I guess it was my fault I didn't read the open hours. Otherwise - everything was perfect.

Nice surf-camp-style hostel - rather modern and stylish, cool outdoor and bar areas, clean and orderly, big dorms are very spacious and the beds are capsule-style with thick curtains offering decent light and noise protection (nothing can ward off ardent snorers and sleep-talkers though, so having earplugs at the ready always pays). The personnel is super-friendly, and as already mentioned in other posts go out of the way to help, even making a lunch bag for early starters - a yummy veggie bun in my case. The location is not prime beach real estate, but a 10 min walk to the town centre is fair enough! And there are very nice restaurants around (go try Escondidinho if you're after fresh fish, seafood or grill)...

Common kitchens are common kitchens, but maybe stricter rules might keep the fridge a bit more orderly :) Bathrooms are camping-style, so a bit less privacy. Hot water comes from a solar collector, so showers are 1€/10min (first one free) and in April an early morning shower was a bit less than warm - no big deal though :)

It was the first day after re-opening for a season, so I was happy to find a hostel accomodation on my next stop of Fisherman's Trail. Thanks to that I also had the whole room for myself, which was nice. + big rooms + super polite staff + breakfast included (nothing spectacular, but nice) + space for work + curtains, socket and a little bucket for your personal items by each bed + locker and key to store your things provided

The room was really cold and there was just a very thin blanket, so I ended up taking one extra from a different bed (sorry) and putting all my clothes on. The shared bathroom was in a different building, so you had to make quite a way everytime you needed to use a toilet. I'm not a huge fan of many showers and toilets in one room with no real walls in between... Felt more like a public swimmingpool bathrooms or so. The room was HUGE and super cold, so I decided to not take a shower at all (which, after an all day hike, I'd never skip - but it was just freezing and I wasn't able to strip naked in there). - COLD - huge shared bathroom (I mean - women only, but not a single shower in a room just for yourself)

Nice staff and loved my surfing lesson. Pretty basic hostel.

Bikes were useless and falling apart. When I raised this with reception - and said it was dangerous to rent faulty bikes they told me I was wrong as all their bikes are checked regularly by a trained technician (the seat was literally falling off). I overhead similar feedback about the damp in the rooms and the customers were told they were wrong and shouted at (!) Feedback isn’t always good and you won’t always agree. I think saying ‘thank you for the feedback. We will look into this’ - might be better than shouting and telling the customer they are wrong.

Great facility and location. Good breakfast.

Cleaning in general was good and the toilets were impecable but the beds could have been better.

I’ve got food poisoning from breakfast. Saw that the owner was touching the food with his bare hands. breakfast overall was terrible. Room was cold, not comfy, it looked like staff was working in a toxic work environment.

everything you need and the breakfast included is a plus!
