Il salotto è spazioso e confortevole, con una bella vista di campi e alberi, con vista in lontananza sul acqua in background. Il bagno si trova al primo piano accanto alle scale della camera da letto e del soppalco. Un ampio porticato con sedie assicura un soggiorno sereno e tranquillo.
Un percorso lungo il vialetto di ghiaia vi porta attraverso il ruscello e giù per una rampa di scale e la nostra spiaggia privata. La vista è bella e l'acqua è piacevolmente tonificante!

The Homestead Cabin was a magical place in the woods. It is just as described down a long driveway and a short walk to the water. We were greeted by the sweetest dog who showed us the path to the beach. I am so glad we picked this cabin for our first trip to Maine. You won’t be disappointed.

Perfect location for avid outdoors people or for anyone who loves nature and the peace and seclusion it offers. The close proximity to Acadia National Park is icing on the cake! David and Carolyn are gracious hosts and everything was perfect for our stay! Will definitely try to visit again!

This is perfect for nature lovers looking for peace and quiet and a complete opposite to the over run mad house know as Maine tourism. If you love the quiet outdoors and fun freedom for your well behaved dog , this is the spot! The owners Golden Retriever, Daisy , is an absolute joy and kept our pups entertained. Owners are wonderful, hard working, very friendly and welcoming. You just can’t go wrong staying here !

We had the most amazing time at the cottage which is absolutely perfect in every way. Our hosts are incredible people and have the sweetest puppy named Daisy. Check in and out was very easy, and the cottage truly has everything you need. It was immaculate upon arrival. Absolutely recommend this rental.

I am a returning guest to this gorgeous property, having booked my second stay immediately after my first. The tranquility, pristine landscape, private beach, and access to Acadia and Bar Harbor are just a few of my favorites about the Homestead Cabin. I totally plan on returning year after year.....David and Carol are gracious hosts and I couldn't have asked for more......

The cottage is comfortable and thoughtfully well equipped. Pie plate in case you find some wild Maine blueberries?! Comfy beds. Everything we could want.

Incredible place
Everytime we stay here the experience gets better. Beautiful weather all week. David and Carolyn are excellent hosts. They were very welcoming and the friendliest people you will ever meet. We intend to rent the cabin again.

Perfect cabin in the woods
This is an ideal property for us, two senior women. The cabin is very quiet sitting on the edge of the woods at the end of a long access road. One of us is an avid sea kayaker and is able to launch from the a nearby beach on the edge if the property. This was our third vacation here and we are already booked for next year. The hosts who own the property live just down the hill and are wonderful and gracious in their hospitality.

Great cabin set back in the woods and a short walk to the ocean. Being from Vermont I've stayed in some great cabins and this was definitely one of the nicest and you can't ask for better hosts then David and Carolyn.

What a great place! Lovely little cabin slept 3 adults, 1 child and a German Shepard perfectly. The cottage is set off on a long dirt path far from the main road and makes you feel like you are truly getting away from it all. There are little trails that lead to rocky and wooded areas that overlook the beautiful salt water bays of Maine. A small rocky beach is just perfect for watching the sun rise or to cast a few lines. The cabin is immaculately cleaned and they have absolutely everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Lastly, the owners are both extremely nice people, non-invasive, people who seem to just love where they live and want other people to enjoy it as much as they do. They were extremely accommodating when I asked to move my trip by a day and for letting us bring our dog. I wouldn’t think of staying any where else when I come up again to visit my aunt who lives on Deer Isle. Thank you for your hospitality.

Absolute Heaven On Earth
I could never have imagined how perfect this Sea Cabin was until I saw it with my own eyes. From the rustic drive in the woods to the cabin from the main road to the luscious landscape, ferns, running brook - the whole setting was a feast for the senses. The cabin was so comfortable, cozy, and clean. And the private piece of the Maine coastline was everything to me. It was a short walk to the beach and the quiet/calm while watching the tides come and go was something I will never forget. I will be back and would recommend this property 150%. The owners were super friendly and accessible. I offered to buy the property- that's how happy I was with my stay.

Fantastic Cottage & Great Hosts
We were thrilled with the cottage! Every part of the listing was just as we found it...and...even greater! Our two dogs had a relaxing time away as well. The short walk to the cove was a favorite activity as was our time spent enjoying the quiet and solitude of the Maine woods and coastline. And, if you stay at the cottage...you simply must be sure to go out on the wrap-around deck at night and enjoy the night sky.

The cabin was clean well appointed and comfortable( great beds)! With thoughtful touches- pie pans in case you needed to bake blueberry pie.
Location-very private woodland location with a 2 minute walk to a beach for Kayak launch or star gazing.

Wonderful Time in Stonington Cottage
We had a lovely and peaceful time at the cottage. Our hosts went above and beyond in every way and the cottage itself was beautifully appointed and had all the amenities we could have asked for. The location, with easy walks and a path to the beach completed the Maine experience. We would love to return in future years.

Peaceful summer retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Homestead Cabin. The cabin was immaculate and equipped with everything we could need for cooking meals, grilling, etc. We slept well thanks to comfortable beds and cool nighttime breezes. We loved the shared beach, trails through the mossy woods and the quiet location. David and Carolyn are exceptionally helpful, kind and welcoming hosts. We hope to return again one day!

Cozy Coastal Cabin
David and Carolyn continue to be gracious welcoming hosts. The cabin was perfect. We had a few days of iffy weather but we filled those days with trips to the antique stores. Wonderful hikes and cruises filled the sun filled days. As always, I HIGHLY recommend a stay at either the cabin or cottage. It is the perfect get away.

The perfect -lace for us
For the two of us and our dog, this rental is a perfect fit. We like being out in the woods and with easy access to the water. Our interests are sea kayaking and being in a place of peace and quiet. Our hosts, David and Carolyn were incredibly gracious and helpful when we needed it.

Just a wonderful space! In the trees by the ocean (harbor). Clean, bright, well appointed cabin and delightful hosts. Wonderful selection of books too! So restful. All in all, IDEAL. would definitely come again.

This is a wonderful property for a couple looking for kayaking opportunities and the seer bliss of being in the woods, away from it all.

Incredible cabin
David and Carolyn are wonderful hosts. I have vacationed in Stonington for years. This is the best stocked rental, if you forgot anything they have thought of it. The place is a wonderful retreat from the world. There is a beautiful beach to enjoy the sights and the sounds of the ocean. Anything you want to do is a short drive away. David and Carolyn provide a selection of possible mini adventures and places to eat. The cabin is an oasis in the woods with a great deck with a view of the ocean, woods right beside the cabin and wild life that occasionally came out to be seen. We saw a fox named Mr. Pickles and 2 deer. I will be coming back for another stay. David and Carolyn have thought of every possible thing someone might need for a great escape from the world.

Absolutely, positively PERFECT in every way!!!
My fiancé came for work for 2 weeks, so I came along for a change of scenery. My best friend came for the 2nd week. We all thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the beauty of the area, the excellent accommodations, and, most of all, David and Carolyn’s hospitality and attention to every last detail! The views of the bay are breath-taking and include SEALS, Eagles, and many other beautiful creatures. Bring a scope or some binoculars, and you’ll see baby seals feeding and lazing alongside the 2 dozen others. The cabin is gorgeous and has everything you’ll need. Be sure to pay a visit to the Stonington Lobster Co-op for the freshest and best lobster ever! All in all, this is a piece of absolute paradise!!! And, the beds are soooo comfy!

Quiet cabin on an island with a mix of art and fishing
My family had a great time at this cabin on a quiet part of the island with a beautiful bay. We rented a kayak for the week (stored it at the beach) and toured around the fishing boats and small islands nearby. Our dog had a blast running in the woods and swimming at the rock beach. The island is a neat mix of artists and the local fishing industry, felt like real people live there, much quieter than some more tourist centric areas. Nice deck and small yard to spend time outside. The cabin is off a roughly half mile gravel and rock driveway - may not be a good choice if you have a low car, but it was no problem for a van/SUV.

Homestead Cottage was absolutely perfect for the needs of two senior women and our dog. The Fridells were most gracious hosts, helping out with our every need. We loved our stay from beginning to end and look forward eagerly to returning next August.

Wonderful home, wonderful hosts!
We were very impressed with the home. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had every item we needed to be able cook our own meals on a island with very few restaurants. We loved walking in the woods, boating with the hosts' grandson (same age as our girls), and laying out on the rocks looking at stars over the ocean. We will definitely come again. We highly recommend this home for families with young kids. Such a great week!

The perfect escape but close enough to see the sights. Would highly recommend this cabin! A short walk to the water as well as a short drive to town. We could not be more pleased with our stay! Wonderful!
