Good breakfast, kind and helpful staff, clean rooms. Possibility of parking near the hotel. Hoorn is a nice town at a very good distance from Amsterdam.

Maybe a little thing - a towel rack by the basin outside the bathroom would be nice

The staff is very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good!

Although hotel is bit older it was clean. Owner is an amazing person more than happy to help and ensure that you have all you need. They have private parking near to the hotel for 10 cars, but they will tell you about other spots to park if those are full. Hoorn is very nice city to visit, while it is also very close to the Amsterdam. Breakfast were great and for us it was great value for money.

Very basic breakfast with toast, jam and coffee. The rooms are quite run down but as clean as they can get them.

Cooked Breakfast daily, plus cold meats, cheeses, salad, cereals, fresh fruit, selection of breads etc, juices. Fresh pots of coffee, tea…in a “gezelig” setting. While no elevator, the staff carried luggage both upstairs on our arrival, and downstairs on our departure. Warm, friendly staff. And a free ride to the train station to make our train connection when we left!

The breakfast was very good. A wide variety to choose from. The room was great. I had 2 rooms with a connecting door. Great for my husband and I and 2 teenagers. The location was a lovely quaint town about a 30 min drive from Amsterdam. I have to add the hosts were wonderful. Very kind and very helpful. I appreciated that alot.

The only thing I didn't like was the noise from my neighbours upstairs that seemed like they were throwing their own party late at night. Thankfully it was only for the 1 night and the rest were totally fine.

We travelled with two young children (4 & 7) and wanted to be in the same room. We were happy to see that the quadrupel rooms at De Magneet had exactly what we needed at a reasonable cost. The room met our expectations and had a nice bathroom where we could bathe the kids. The breakfast in the morning was good and the staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect and within walking distance to the Julianapark, the center, and the harbor.

We arrived during a warm day (26+ and full sunshine). Our room was on the first floor (not ground floor) and when going up the staircase you could feel the temperature rising significantly. We were lucky to get heavy rain for a while in the evening, so with partially open windows and a fan blasting we managed to get most of the hot air out so we could sleep comfortably. An airco in the room would be really helpful for warm summer days.

Loved the hotel, room was super clean! Breakfast in the morning had many options and all fresh. Location is incredibly close to everything. Owners were super helpful for all our needs.
