Everything! A stunning property, fabulous setting and views, great breakfast, lovely staff and super hosts.

From the warm, personal welcome by Melvin and Ellen to the small touches at in the room, breakfast and the complimentary nibbles and drinks in the room, our stay at La Providence was outstanding. The grounds and attention to detail to the surroundings was superb. The breakfast by the pool/pool house was varied, healthy and beautifully presented, all homemade by Ellen and her friendly and helpful staff. Gary, Ellen’s partner, was as helpful and welcoming, informing us nothing was too much of a bother to ensure our stay was a happy one. The location is just off the main street of Huguenot Road where there are cafés, shops and restaurants; a 12 mins walk which is not far yet far enough to feel like you are in a secluded and exclusive guest house. Importantly, all staff, from Ellen, Gary and Melvin to their gardeners and housekeeping staff were smiley and friendly. Truly a wonderful stay which exceeded our expectations. Great Breakfast and Location

This is a wonderful place, so beautiful and in a fantastic location for exploring Franschhoek. The room and hotel was lovely with a great ambience. Extremely good value for the quality.

Our hosts were fantastic in every way from meet and greet to cooking the fantastic breakfast to accommodating our extra needs. The property itself and the attention to detail in the room and surrounding buildings and pool area was absolutely out of this world.

Finding it hard to think of anything that we didn't like.

Ellen and Gary are amazing hosts. Breakfast was superb and they were able to catering for vegetarians. The property is also well maintained with beautiful views of the mountains.

The beautiful estate is well maintained and is in a state of complete tranquility. It is very peaceful and calming at any given time of day. Ellen and her team go out of their way to ensure that your stay is nothing short of perfect. Rooms are spacious and inviting, the facilities are great to use. Breakfasts are amazing and we loved the attention to detail.

The grounds are beautiful and very well manicured. The room was much bigger that it looked in the photos. The outdoor shower was a lovely experience. Everything was very comfortable and easy.

Where can I start…….. absolutely beautiful setting so pretty , amazing breakfast, comfortable stylish rooms , staff attentive, totally exceeded all my expectations, I would go as far to say it was possibly one of the best places I have stayed, and I have stayed at a lot of places. I would definitely recommend this place , we couldn’t have wished for more

Ellen and Gary at la providence are pros, running a top venue with all the luxuries you would expect from such a hotel. From the staff, to the facilities and the personalized service from the hosts - la providence was exceptional. Finally, the breakfast was fantastic! Definitely worth going back to over and over.
