Nice restaurant / bar and staff

Room was cold, tired and realy needs refreshing.

The staff where very helpful but to date i have had no reply from either yourselves or the Kings Arms regarding my complaint

It is with great disappointment that I find myself needing to send this email with a few unnecessary complaints had standards and due care and attention been paid albeit staff to date have been very helpful I’m still needing to send this compliant. My parents and daughter checked in with you yesterday to a Family room, upon arrival to the room after a long travel they were only to discover the room was not only very tired in décor but also very dirty and mouldy. The gentlemen they spoke with was very helpful and moved them to another room and gave them some complimentary bit and pieces. Having spoken with them this morning it would seem that your annex rooms have incredibly thin walls and they have had no choice but to listen to a very nosey couple in the room next door until 4am, (not a nose you wish to listen to especially with your young granddaughter in the room)Although this is not your fault and maybe a bit of room allocation thought may have helped but for my parents and daughter to be subject to this after I have paid a fair sum for them to stay at your property, which on booking.com is full of very beautiful looking oak beamed rooms is simply unacceptable.

Tv didn’t work. beds very uncomfortable, bathroom needs attention

Location was great and central. Bathroom was nice.

Room was horrible. Smelt of smoke which I told the staff, they didn't offer to move me. The walls were stained and damp. Hardly any plug sockets. Bed was uncomfortable.

Beautiful room. Very clean.

Disturbances, one of your staff burst through the door from Greene Lounge as I was unlocking my door. Drunk? Unruly? Definitely scary.

Pretty noisy room! Could hear the restaurant/bar. Apart from that it was wonderful.

The pub itself is great with excellent food and friendly staff. The room was a good size considering we went for a cheaper room and we had a double bed and a sofa bed for our son with plenty of room to spare.

The general finish of the room was pretty poor. For example a window latch had been broken but instead of being fixed had been held on with a nail. Also we went during 30 degree weather and the supplied fan wasn't working and they were unable to find a replacement making sleeping difficult.

The location was great, our room was located behind the pub, and was nice and quiet. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and well laid out and the fan made a huge difference in the heat. The food was good in the restaurant too. We happily recommend it.

The TV didn't work well - we did get it checked but it still kept dropping out, which was frustrating as we liked to watch the Commonwealth Games. Our breakfast was also forgotten one morning and was only prepared and served when we got upset. They comp'd the breakfast, but this was disappointing. We would recommend they add a mini-bar in the room as we were there for 6 days and wanted to keep our water and milk cold.
