Clean and tidy

A little outside the village

I only saw one member of staff while there, Debbie. Debbie seemed to do everything; Reception, waitress service, etc. She was very welcoming, but twice when we came down to Reception with queries, there was no-one there. There was a sign stating to call a mobile number in an emergency, but it wasn't really an emergency. I had no hair dryer in my room, so borrowed the one from my daughter's room. We later wanted to play pool, but couldn't find the light switch for the room and there was noone to ask. Breakfast was lovely. Cooked to order and included items such as Eggs Florentine. The room (3) was beautifully decorated and very clean. Fantastic views of the garden and beyond to the sea. Bed comfortable.

Didn't have any coffee in our tea/coffee selection so hadn't been replenished by housekeeping. No hairdryer in room.

Our host Debbie was incredibly friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. We were made to feel extremely comfortable for the duration of our stay. The rain shower was also very refreshing. Thank you for your hospitality.

Some furniture was slightly squeaky and the mini fridge tipped a little (with the glasses resting on top) which nearly resulted in a broken wine glass. Otherwise, no complaints.

Location was good. Close to beaches and pet friendly, however we were unaware of an additional charge for dogs to stay, but this is Booking.com's remit to state if there are additional charges rather than the venue's.

The hotel seemed to be running a bit minimally and positive energy was a little bit lacking from some of the staff, and it seemed as though they might benefit from a break. Maybe it was because of the bad weather and end of summer. Older staff members were really welcoming. We did feel bad sometimes as we had damp shoes, coats etc most days to dry in the room and of course two young children and a dog in an otherwise super quiet setting. We were lucky when we arrived there were available rooms as dogs are limited to the extension or pod areas. The EV chargers were disconnected at the hotel, as were the chargers in the local pub, the public chargers in Pendine and elsewhere were out of service and every other EV charger within 20 miles of Laugharne was not operational at the time of our stay. We just about managed to make it to chargers near Carmarthen on our way home, but it was stressful. We won't bring an electric car next time. The location is excellent and within easy drive of lovely beaches. It's a really good area for dog walking and all the places we visited were dog friendly. The rooms are well equipped and the beds are really comfy. Very nice for a short stay.

The location was nice and the staff were very kind

When arriving at night it was dark in the car park. There was large amount of cobwebs and spiders, it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned for a while (ceiling, corners of each room). Also there was blockage of sink and shower.

Breakfast was good. Location lovely.

Evening dinner menu did not live up to the venue.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely peaceful atmosphere. Lovely gardens.Friendly, hardworking staff. Super breakfast. Would definitely return.
