Excellent location; in walking distance to golf, restaurants, and sights. Food and service were excellent. Room was very comfortable.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, the bed was really comfortable and it is very well located.

It was strange. When I booked online last December, the price was almost twice as high as what was advertised through the same site. The facility was wonderful, though.

Excellent location. The rooms were of various quantity. Our room was fabulous but my kids had a room on the top floor which was slightly shabby with rips in the wallpaper and loud noise from the boiler in the cupboard in the room. Maintenance is needed to the plaster work on the stairs to this floor. On arrival the building had been closed over Christmas and was cold but extra heaters were supplied and the rooms warmed up nicely. Our host was lovely and supplied wonderful breakfasts with the best pancakes we have ever tasted.

Cold rooms on arrival. Variation in the quality of the rooms and a need for maintenance in the upstairs rooms. The noise in the upstairs bedroom from the boiler did disturb the kids sleep and the cracks in the plaster on the stairs needs to be addressed.

Breakfast was great and Peter was great about communicating with me despite my severely delayed arrival. Getting in was easy thanks to detailed instructions. The beds are really comfortable as well as the pillows, we slept great.

Bathroom facilities a bit quirky and could use some storage in the bathroom. I've stayed here before and the room on the top floor is not as nice as the ground floor. It fit what we needed though for this trip. You do hear all the guests arriving for breakfast which I was surprised to hear from the top floor.

Breakfast was great....however the American host was slightly off hand , when I dropped 2 bottles of water...by muttering under his breath...'and this is the first night'

My room was advertised as overlooking the garden but in fact was on street. Too noisy to have the window open and it was quite a warm period. Would be fine in winter with afternoon sun.

The Roof Light with no Blind woke me up at 6am which was not appreciated.

I loved the quiet and very comfortable single Luxury room with really pretty outlook on the garden. Excellent mattress. The room has been recently refurbished, so it is feeling really nice and clean. The breakfast was really great as well and the whole atmosphere of the house very friendly. Highly recommended as a perfect comfortable base to explore St Andrews.

It's not really a negative comment because I actually enjoyed very much my small luxury single room . But it is important to note that the room is only probably about 10m2. It is very comfortable , quiet and enjoyable though but probably better suited for a "petite" person who is a well organised traveller and knows how to pack small !

Peaceful and quiet. Lovely bedding and pillows. Spotlessly clean. The breakfast menu had lots of choice (the French toast with bacon and syrup in particular was delicious). Great coffee. The host was very friendly and helpful. Excellent location.

It was a beautiful place to stay and we loved our 'wee room out the back', great decor, exceptionally clean, great choice of food for breakfast, nothing too much trouble for Peter, our host, who was lovely. The location was great. Although parking is a bit challenging, once we were there we didn't use the car once as we could walk everywhere. And the weather was great!!

This is being picky, but the mattress was a bit soft for us and a down duvet would have been nicer than a fibre filled one. The WiFi in the room was a bit on and off but we had access to the lounge anytime where it was fine. Having said that, we are not complaining about anything!
