Beautiful and heavenly place with peace and tranquil surroundings. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had specifically booked the heritage suites, in the original Baker's bungalow, but the reception staff was initially tried to offer me a sub standard private villa, but I protested. Front desk manager immediately resolved the issue and offered me the originally booked heritage suite. It was a great. Facilities were top class. Food was delicious and exceptional. Spa and massage facilities were amazing..i had a foot massage by a masseur name by Imran from North East state of Manipur, who was very good and professional. That massage was one of the best I have had. Highly recommend the spa facilities. Would like to return.

Reception staff initially tried to fob me off with a sub standard villa, which wasn't a great experience. It was felt like they wanted to reserve the heritage suites for white skinned foreigners, a age old tradition of foreign appeasement, by Indians! But it was resolved when I protested. Afterwards, everything was just perfect.

If you like the rustic away from everyone space this is beautiful. The pakoras and tea at 5pm was yum. Staff were friendly and kind

We liked the amenities provided. Kids enjoyed the leisure activities arranged to them during the stay (cycling duck feeding, zip line etc..). The walk to the lKe the lake side was an enjoyable time for the family. Staff was very polite, helpful, and professional. They ensured our wedding anniversary was memorable by decorating our room and arranging a cake for us. A sweet gesture by the FnB team. Ms. Neetu in reception and Mr. Suresh and the rest of the FnB team are very helpful.

- Location - Hospitality - fantastic set of people (chef/ bell boys/ waiters/ front of house) the only reason I would consider going back. - Food quality

Menu options - Advertised vs. actuall menu. I left disappointed when I was told all my menu choices were not available and had to choose of an another menu. Facility -Our visit was during the onset of Monsoon - my room had water dripping from the ceiling, and common areas outside our room had puddles of water. - Multiple power outages during the 3 days were unusual in a 5 star property like Taj. -There were no sufficient umbrellas available at the property (low occupancy). Child friendly options - it would be extremely nice if the hotel could consider introducing kids club or child friendly facilities. Something I was petrified, having young children in the group - the facility lacked safety measures near the lagoon areas General upkeep Though the concept is village living - for a brand like Taj, this property needs some renovation in general. -The bridges over water bodies were a bit worn out, and club cars were not able to drive across -If there are heavy rains , get ready to walk in puddles of water.

The staff were friendly and the landscape / flora was very pretty. The historical main building was charming as well.

Mid to junior staff while friendly were found inefficient/lacking in many respects. Given they don't service more than 28 rooms/units were slow to most requests.

One of the best properties I have visited in Kumarakoam. The staff was really friendly and service was top notch. Special appreciation to Mr. Noyal Front Office Manager, Pardeep Housekeeping, Executive Chef and the entire team. Food was really up to the mark and well prepared. The location is also quite nice. I would say this is a must visit place if you are in Kochi.

Well trained staffs , Beautiful big property , Traditional kerala architecture, Nice Outdoor activities, Lake front property, Family and kids friendly, upgraded my room free of cost, Clean swimming pool , superb Spa.

Taste of the food when compared to the price , I will rate as Good .(Not excellent).Its not a big issue. . You can find loads of local restaurants very close to this property. Also the bicycles, my 2 daughters got was not for girls , but for boys. Still my overall experience in this property, I will rate as excellent.

Little far away from city. Local conveyance is bit difficult. To hire taxis of the Hotel is very expensive.

The hotel staff was very courteous ,hospitable and attentive.

There were no additional plug points, some were not usable . The daily cleaning could have been better eg floor moping etc

We were received by Ms. Priya in the reception like Maharajahs. We felt that we were in a different world. the hospitality was world class. Sandanam the staff in the restaurant took good care of us and ensured that we enjoyed every meal there during our stay. Overall it was a memorable stay. Keep it up Taj Team

Breakfast had a good spread. The fruits on offer were sweet and fresh. The filter coffee was very authentic. The poori and accompanying curry were hot and fresh.

The medhu vada could have been hotter and fresher. The sambar was good but not entirely authentic.
