Excellent location near top attractions, amenities, shopping area and restaurants. Spacious room, warm and friendly reception and top service. Restaurant offering was appealing. Laundry option was reasonable. I would recommend without hesitation.

Location, staff,facilities and the italian restaurant which is part of the hotel.

The hotel is a bit stuffy because of the layout. The courtyard is roofed in and the room we stayed had not much fresh air (13). Breakfast is at 7.30 but because of hosting groups we were woken up around 6.15 so the staff could prepare breakfast because the groups always wanted earlier breakfasts.

Cheerfully decorated and with a superb breakfast, Posada del Angel was exactly what I needed on my short trip to Cuenca. I appreciated the hot water, too!

My room opened up onto the breakfast area. This made it a little noisy, but nothing terrible.

The breakfast was very good, with quality coffee and a lovely setting in the indoor patio with lots of curios and plants. This hotel has a superb location in the heart of the historic center, a short walk from the main monuments, Parque Calderon and all the streets with great shopping.

I discovered that all the rooms overlook the two patios and the restaurant. For those which do not have balconies overlooking the street (but the street is busy), there is too little fresh air coming in from the glass dome. The restaurant can be noisy. But it is the hotel configuration.

Perfect location and wonderful staff. I loved it. I will go back.

The courtyard and balcony is beautifully colourfully decorated. It is in a great location for historic Cuenca to walk the landmarks. The Ecuadorian blackberry juice for breakfast is superb. Friendly staff.

Nothing really, I was up a floor from the main posada rooms, which if you book will be worth paying for.

Everything. It’s a fabulous hotel, in an authentic place, family managed, it was purely incredible. The breakfasts were the most complete I’ve ever had. Easy, I didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day after that. The family really helped me & made me feel appreciated, they are very thoughtful. The rest of the staff are adorable, present & yet invisible, really sweet and caring. It’s a grand hotel, but without the anonymity of one, they cherish their client & make them feel great. Honestly, one of the best hotels I’ve ever been in my life. & trust me, I do see a lot of these.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Large clean rooms and facilities with nice restaurant on first level. Great breakfast provided as well. Highly recommended with a prime location in Cuenca!

A family run operation, feels like a home. We stayed for 10 days. 2 beautiful courtyards to relax in. Excellent value.
