Good location, have been staying there on and off for 20 years
Breakfast service was terrible.- they gave you 3 slots for breakfast and you had to attend your timeslot to avoid long wait times - Sunday morning arrived at allocated itmeslot and still waited 90mins for breakfast to arrive

Fantastic location, good breakfast, nice staff.
Rooms particularly bathroom could do with a bit of modernisation.

Great hotel, food and location, staff were really helpful.
We had an internal room, it was a lovely room, and in great condition but it was small and very warm.

Everything especially Finlay’ passion fruit daiquiris! David (duty manager) was excellent too.
Nothing as small moans were dealt with very well by David.

The room was too hot. I know that you can not put plumbed airconditioning in the room but if people complain maybe a portable airconditioner with a hose to the outside through a window could be arranged.

Staff were so helpful and welcoming from the second you drive in. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and has all of the facilities you need for an enjoyable time. Nice selection of food and drinks. Fantastic. 10/10 recommend.

Great location with spectacular views. I love the old world look, feel, and atmosphere of the Headland Hotel. The staff friendly and even a small issue they found a solutions. I will be back and tell my friends and family in Australia.
One or two of the brekky’s were warm and not hot. Serve your eggs on thick sour dough not thin.

My recent stay at The Headland Resort and Spa was nothing short of a nightmare, resulting in a ruined birthday weekend and immense stress. The issues I encountered, combined with the unprofessional behavior of the staff, made my stay an unbearable experience.
The room I was assigned had a direct view into another room, which is entirely unacceptable for a supposedly 5-star resort. To my dismay, there was no mention of this internal-facing arrangement on the booking.com app. The photos provided on the app were intentionally misleading, giving the impression that the windows overlooked pleasant surroundings rather than neighboring rooms.
When I brought this issue to the attention of the hotel staff, their response was dismissive and misleading. They claimed that I had booked according to the booking.com information, despite the fact that there was no mention of the internal-facing room in the app's posting. I certainly did not book according to any guidelines provided, making their response both invalid and unsatisfactory.
Adding to my disappointment, the statement that The Headland Resort and Spa had six separate pools turned out to be a clear deception. In reality, the pools were crammed together, mere centimeters apart, and lacked the promised variety and spaciousness. The misleading representation of the pool setup further undermined the credibility of the resort.

Due to the distress caused by the confined space and heightened anxiety, I made the difficult decision to check out and return to London. Considering the circumstances, the decision to check out and return to London was not taken lightly. It would have entailed a grueling 7-hour train journey, including a 50-minute wait at a small train station, and arriving in London late at midnight. As a single woman traveling alone, the added discomfort and safety concerns made this decision even more significant and difficult.
However, the hotel staff failed to deliver on their promises once again. Despite being told that a taxi had been booked for me, it became apparent that no such arrangement had been made. I had to endure an hour-long wait, putting me at risk of missing the
While waiting for the taxi, visibly upset and in tears, a member of the staff approached me. Instead of offering support or assistance, this staff member engaged in inappropriate conversation, completely disregarding my emotional state. Their unprofessional behavior made me feel extremely uncomfortable and added to the distress I was already experiencing.
To my astonishment, when a taxi finally arrived after the prolonged wait, it was intended for the staff member and his friend. Despite my visibly distraught state, they asked me to get into the taxi, which was highly inappropriate and insensitive.
The cumulative effect of these distressing incidents left me deeply disappointed in the hotel. The lack of transparency regarding the room's internal-facing setup, the failure to book a taxi as promised, and the unprofessional behavior of the staff member significantly marred my birthday weekend.
I sincerely hope that my review serves as a warning to potential guests and prompts the necessary changes to prevent others from enduring such a traumatic and disappointing experience.

You cant beat the location looking right across Fistral Beach. Our room was perfect for us, comfortable four poster bed and very clean with a nice en-suite and modern shower. The hotel facilities couldn't be faulted. The Hotel was very dog friendly and many of the staff took the time to offer dog biscuits to our Maja and this was very much appreciated by her ! We loved the nice relaxed atmosphere in the bar area and surrounding rooms and all of the staff had a smile and took the time to say hello. The terrace area was a real suntrap when we stayed and there was waiter service which was appreciated ! Breakfast was excellent - good choice of options and I would definitely recommend the full Cornish English which was served hot and plentiful with good quality ingredients.
The only thing that let the hotel down for me was our dinner on our first evening in the Terrace restaurant. The staff were again excellent and chatty but unfortunately the food could and should have been better at this standard of hotel. My starter of salmon was fine but I then had a poor chicken pie which was just way too watery and tasteless. My wife had the flatiron steak but this was too chewy due to a layer of fat running through it. I felt sorry for the staff as I saw another table complaining about the food so we just put it down to experience. The food really should have been better. We ate out the following evening and had a lovely meal at the Butchers Bistro in Newquay Town Centre.

As ever lovely friendly staff. Top quality facilities in a perfect location Five star service from the moment you arrive
Recent changes to the breakfast restaurant are not good. Diong room felt cramped and noisy. Last line of tables too close to the self service area. Fewer number of window seats. All resulting in a less leisurely and relaxed experience

Breakfast included a wide range of choices and the cooked breakfasts were lovely, enjoyed with a wonderful view of the different moods of the sea
Other than being woken up by a team of beautiful masseuses and carried to breakfast on a giant soft pillow, I can’t think of any improvements.

Restaurant prices were crazy and the food was rubbish!! They charged me double price over the same plate just because of a Restaurant rule wich I didn't understand then and either I do now
Improve the food quality and specification on the prices !!
