We had an amazing stay! Mihaka is a Gentleman and went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Even though we arrived late, he was so kind and waited for us with a smile. The owners were amiable and welcoming.đ¤

The entire building had a freshly-decorated feel about it. The room was lovely and had a fridge with wine and beer, and a little glass bottle of milk. So much nicer than those milk capsules which squirt all over you when you pierce them. Breakfast was excellent and had a real home-cooked feel about it.
There were sachets of coffee and various kinds of tea in the room. But the sugar was mostly brown, not white, and no sweeteners.
There was no welcoming information sheet in the room and no price list for the fridge drinks.
These are really minor issues but would be easy to remedy.

The moment I stepped through the door, my body relaxed! The decor and furnishings in the shared living and dining space are beautiful. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and shower powerful. Our host was so welcoming and friendly. He was very helpful in recommending delicious places to eat. He is so easy to talk to and has an infectious laugh. He took a genuine interest in us and made our stay more personable. And the breakfast was fresh, cooked to our liking, delicious with very generous servings!

We felt welcomed and very comfortable from the first moment. Clean, bright, cosy, modern and spacious room and breakfast room, very friendly staff with recommendations for places to visit and to eat, lovely breakfast and coffee. The house is almost directly on the fantastic Porthminster Beach and 10 minutes walk away to the centre of St. Ives. The steep path to the house didn't bother us as we arrived with a car and we were happy to have a parking place in St. Ives. We had room Nr. 9 (view to the garden) but we have not missed the sea view at any moment. It was a perfect location for our holidays. Thank you for welcoming us!

Superb location, wonderful hosts, exceptional quality. The room was gorgeous, the bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast was exceptional. The hosts were extremely welcoming and we really appreciated the parking, so close to St Ives.

A sea-view room costs a little more but is so worth it! All the comforts and little touches we so appreciate were there, especially the afternoon cake and fabulous breakfasts, the quiet, the lovely staff and the relaxed atmosphere.
An easy walk into the centre of St Ives, but with the best the view!!! Lovely beach to walk on or gaze at, warm, snug, comfy...

Breakfast was superb - there were lots of options including all the classic cooked breakfasts as well as plant-based milks. The staff were very conscientious and helpful and it is true that they are on-call 24/7 as we arrived when the staff had gone home, but they were still available by phone. Great location, within 5 mins walk of the town centre and near enough to the sea that you could hear it. The interior design was clean, modern, well lit (super rare in hotels!) and fit the general nautical theme and also smelled really nice. A nice extra touch was the free cakes / cookies left out in the lobby - icing on the cake.
Parking / getting there by car was a bit stressful because (1) Getting there involved a very narrow and steep alley under a railway bridge (twice) so visibility was low - the video showing people how to get there was really helpful and anyone visiting needs to watch it! (2) Finding a parking space was slightly difficult because there are quite a few other guest houses in that patch who each have labelled parking spaces but it worked out in the end.

We stayed here on our honeymoon for 3 nights and would return again in a heart beat. Breakfast was made to order and amazing each day, the staff were welcoming, helpful, friendly and gave us some great recommendations for the local area. We paid for a room with a balcony and loved waking up to the wonderful view each morning, cannot recommend enough.
